This was SO Enjoyable🙃
I haven't been back to Japan since around 2001,
& honestly, most of my memories are in Shibuya district(Club Harlem) to he exact🎊
Watching this, kind-of activated several more memories..the Rural type😊😀
It's funny how, with the passage if Time, We come to appreciate things we didn't, so much, in our youth😊
🙏🏽
Arigato!

Love these videos, I’m a private tour guide in Kumamoto and love explaining things to my guests.

Okayama has a wonderful feel.
Excellent video. Very informative and beautifully shot.
What a coincidence as I will be staying in Okayama for 3 days next month!
Happy that your channel is releasing videos more frequently, excellent production!.. and more of Cassandra please! 😁
Wow! Great video and host!
Maps are too white. Burning my eyes… Pick a shade that is not #ffffff
Charly your animations are so cute!
I’m originally from Okayama. That said, Momotaro’s story isn’t actually exclusive to this region. Various versions of the Momotaro myth have existed across Japan. However, due to historical events—ranging from a WWII-era campaign encouraging soldiers to go to China to a tourism promotion in the 1970s—Okayama adopted the tale as its own. This was done by linking the story to local elements such as Kibidango rice cakes, the Kibitsuhiko Shrine, and the demon Ura.
That being said, Okayama is a wonderful place to visit—and even good to settle in. We warmly welcome you!
I traveled to Okayama on my last Japan trip and did a trip similar to day 1 and 2. And it is so worth it. Okayama was a very rememerable part of my trip. Loved cycling the kibi plain, loved eating the famed smiling pudding in Kurashiki and visiting the Okayama garden <3
Perfect vlog
you guys do such fantastic work. i wish every country had a comprehensive tourism resource like you provide for japan!
This came just at the right time as I was planning to visit Japan again due to the recent announcement of Loudpark 2025 in Tokyo which will be on 15th October and I was looking for other places to visit outside of Tokyo.
Okayama is the best prefecture! I always love going there
I've been to all of these places several times: but this video managed to make everything seem boring, even played at 1.25 speed. Maybe because everything she said sounded like an advertisement. And drone shots? what is it, 2010?
Hooray! This is my forever hometown and it's so often overlooked… When I tell my friends from abroad to come here, so many think they want to do the basic tourist circuit but once they come here and hit up Kurashiki, the cycling course, and head out to the art Islands as well as just all the general "normal ness" of Okayama city – big enough to have everything you need but not so big to be overwhelming – even riding those great trams you catch a glimpse of the video is aces
Pro tip: hotels in Okayama are way significantly less expensive than Kyoto or Osaka and if your earning for a Ryokan experience, Kurashiki is great for that as you can wander in your yukata with your lantern along the canals
Also important to note that if you want the best denim in the world, you're in the right place as well! Folks come from all over the world to get custom made jeans… Not cheap but truly epic
The Ohara museum is spectacular as you see a whole sampler of heavy hitter artwork and can get right up to them without crowds where in New York or Paris there would be barriers, lineup and security
Korakuen is indeed really different each season and is optimized for something interesting to experience each time of year, and it's worth noting that there's almost always some cultural event that just happens to be going on there from kimono exhibits to shamisen performances to tea ceremonies and so on
There are several other great museums in Okayama and it's so walkable and low-key can be a real reset after the commotion of some of Japan's big cities
Once you start traipsing around the islands, you might never wanna leave! Each has its own personality and vibe, the ferry service is generally fantastic and bike rentals are commonly available
Why is a foreigner a host of this program? There aren't any Japanese people who could introduce parts of Japan, their own country?
Okayama rocks the USA!!!
Japan does such an amazing job in providing information for potential visitors. And this channel is a very good example of it. So informative, well done, with a lot of details and history and culture included. You do a great job, thank you very much !
P.S. Personally, I like to travel a bit slower, so we spent 2 nights in Kurashiki, 1 night in Okayama, and then continued to Shikoku, for 2 nights in Takamatsu (mainly to visit the art island of Naoshima).
