Tokyo Golden Week 2025: Asakusa Walking Tour [4K/HDR/Binaural]

Hello YouTube. Golden Week is now in its second half, and today, let’s head to Asakusa Tokyo’s number one tourist destination. From what I’ve seen, around 90% of the people visiting here seem to be tourists from abroad. It almost feels like the only people speaking Japanese are the souvenir shop staff and the rickshaw pullers. Asakusa is just that popular. The entire area feels like a giant theme park, and even though I’ve filmed here many times, I still get excited every time I visit. Alright, let’s go.

It’s Golden Week in Japan—a time when streets come alive with energy, and Asakusa is no exception. Today, we’re diving into the heart of this iconic Tokyo neighborhood, surrounded by crowds, culture, and a contagious sense of celebration. We walk through the towering Kaminarimon Gate, stroll down the bustling Nakamise Shopping Street, and find ourselves at the grand Senso-ji Temple. But the journey doesn’t end there. We explore the side alleys and quieter lanes, catching glimpses of both the old-world charm and the modern-day pulse of Asakusa. Join me for a festive walk through one of Tokyo’s most beloved neighborhoods.

  1. We get such beautiful views from your lens — and with crowds like what we see here, all the better that we can simply float right above them as needed to fully enjoy the scene. I really appreciate the great work you do.

  2. Asakusa has lots of interesting things to see, but the crowds really ruin the experience. Luckily I have seen it and can mark it off the list of places I want to visit so that I can avoid it on future trips. As a side note there is a small amusement park there that was fun and wasn't full of people.

  3. 浅草名物の雷門と共にこの、「黄金のウOコ」と言われる朝日ビールのオブジェが今日も一段と光る!・・。
    「朝日やってくれたね!」と言いたい。これを見たくて浅草に来る人もいるのでは!。

  4. I love your walks and povs do you get a chance to see the countryside? I always love seeing the countryside of Japan as well as the city. I know its probably hard to travel to coutryside though

  5. 一昨年行ったんだけど親連れてだったので一人でリベンジする!
    日本最古の地下街にある焼きそば屋さんとか電気ブランやもんじゃ!2日で攻略できるだろうか??

  6. I went to this place last month.
I'm used to seeing a lot of people in concerts before but this place overwhelmed me.
The amount of people gave me headache. 😂
There are food stalls but you can't eat while walking.
You can also rent a kimono while you're in here.
