【大阪Vlog】おすすめヴィンテージショップ・隠れ家カフェ巡りをるする3泊4日旅行|Osaka Trip
The weather is perfect for a trip. After 2 hours and 30 minutes from Tokyo Station, I arrived at Shin-Osaka Station. I’ve always wanted to visit Osaka’s vintage shops and cafes. I’m planning to visit various places, feeling like I’m on a treasure hunt. The first stop was “Rocca,” a vintage furniture store. It’s located about 25 minutes by car from Umeda Station, in a warehouse-turned-shop. There’s everything, from large furniture to small items like dishes and accessories! Popular items in good condition sell out quickly, so there are even rare pieces not available online. There are one-of-a-kind, unique items, so sometimes buyers come to purchase directly. I couldn’t decide which vintage dishes to pick because there were so many! When I found something especially cute, it made me feel excited, like I was a child again. Most cups are priced between 4,000 yen and 6,000 yen, and some rare ones go for over 10,000 yen…! There were also a lot of Japan-style tableware. So it would match both Japanese and Western interiors and dining tables. There were some intricate animal-themed designs as well. I’d love to own a heavy, sophisticated-looking china cabinet like this one day! There were also popular extendable dining tables and storage + desks. After much deliberation, I decided to buy a few dishes and have them shipped! Feeling a bit hungry, I went to “Bird Coffee”, a café 8 minutes on foot from Shimizu Station. I had heard from my channel viewers that their custard doughnuts were amazing, so I ordered a doughnut, blended tea, and a hot sandwich. The combination of “salty” and “sweet” was perfect! It gets cold in the evening, so I was really relaxed by the warm aroma of tea. The tea was so delicious. The savory taste of ham and cheese spread in my mouth. It’s so delicious that I want to eat a lot! And then, the long-awaited custard doughnut. Isn’t it super crispy and fluffy? It’s really fluffy amd delicious! It’s so tasty. I could eat it every day…! It’s just too delicious…! And it’s not greasy at all, right? After stopping by the adjacent “TRUCK FURNITURE,” I headed to Tenma Station. Tenma is famous for its Osaka street food. I had forgotten to make a reservation, so I asked my channel viewers for recommendations. After trying a few places, the most hidden gem was the okonomiyaki shop “Kanpei.” For dinner, I was craving local Osaka food, so I ordered okonomiyaki and modern-yaki with beer. The food is brought to you fresh from the kitchen right in front of you. Freshly made and hot—so delicious! The sauce is way better than what I have in Tokyo! After fully enjoying the authentic okonomiyaki, I went to bed early to get ready for tomorrow’s sightseeing. “Hotel it,” where I stayed for one night without meals, costs around 6,000 to 14,000 yen (per person). It was so comfortable that I accidentally overslept. Haha. The lounge space is equipped with Wi-Fi and power outlets, so you can work, and the open, relaxing atmosphere lets you unwind at any time. If you go further into the lounge, there’s a restaurant, and for an extra 2,200 yen (tax included), you can enjoy a buffet breakfast. The breakfast costing 2,200 yen isn’t cheap, so I decided to have breakfast at the hotel only on the first night. After discussing the plan for the second day with my husband, we were off! This was also a café and vintage shop I’ve wanted to visit for a long time. From Nishinagahori Station, where the hotel was located, it’s a 12-minute drive or 40 minutes by train. It’s a place where you can relax and forget the hustle and bustle of the city. The owner has carefully designed the space, and the selected items give off a sense of artistry, so just touching them makes you feel your heart unwind. Even if you think “vintage is out of reach,” there are also affordable select items, and there’s a flower shop inside, so there’s a lot to enjoy. On the second floor, it seems there are tons of vintage items! Although it was my first visit, I felt nostalgic in this “attic” space. Not only furniture, but also dishes and teddy bears. The rattan high stool with a backrest was too cute… Vintage shops are a place where you can unexpectedly find hidden gems. That’s probably what makes them so captivating. The selection of tableware was very stylish, When I think “I can only buy it now,” I can’t help but want to buy it…! I held back that feeling and decided to take a short break at the café on the first floor. Scones and cream puffs cost about 300 to 400 yen, and I felt like it was such a good deal to enjoy them with rare furniture and tableware. Is it just me who feels this way? The owner carefully makes a cup of café latte for you. In addition to vintage tableware, there were works by artists. If you have a meal using a beautiful plate like this, even an ordinary meal can turn into a precious moment. The sweets made in the kitchen right in front of me were delicious. The place was so comfortable that I didn’t want to leave, but after the break, it was time to move on to the next destination. The places I wanted to visit were spread out, so we drove to save time. In a warehouse district, about 10 minutes on foot from Minoh-Senba-Han University Station, there’s a classical world that doesn’t feel like a warehouse district at all. This shop offers French-style furniture and accessories, and the items there often have an elegant design typical of France. The selection reminded me of a Paris flea market, and although I had looked at their online shop, the store had even more variety. Vintage and antiques are once-in-a-lifetime finds, so I recommend measuring the size of your room before visiting to buy furniture. If you find your favorite piece, it’s fate. Haha. There were also unusual-shaped plates and cutlery I hadn’t even seen in Paris. I was so immersed in the feeling of being in an art museum that… I found myself bringing one of the plates to the register. Haha. Afterward, I went to “Cafe Matin,” which is 6 minutes on foot from “Antiques *Midi.” The café uses antique tables and chairs. At sunset, you can enjoy a beautiful view through the window. This place is also a roasting shop, so I wanted to have coffee, but… Since it was getting close to evening, I decided on tea and bought some coffee beans to take home. I’ve been having sweets all day, but it’s okay to do that sometimes. I like how Amélie eats crème brûlée, so I always imitate her. The nostalgic atmosphere and the warm tea made me feel strangely comforted, and I found myself with slightly teary eyes. For tonight’s dinner, I went to “Chiruku,” a kushikatsu place in Umeda. The main shop was full, so I moved to their Ohatsu Tenjin branch, 2 minutes on foot. The retro interior made me feel like I had time-traveled. There’s also an exotic feel to it, which is fascinating. Since I was there, I decided to try the course with 15 skewers for 6,600 yen. I think this is the first time I’ve had such a proper kushikatsu! Oh, really? Yeah. Let’s eat. You know, the kushikatsu where you don’t double dip— It’s really luxurious to have that for the first time! Oh, so you’re not supposed to double dip? Yeah, basically, you dip it into a box with sauce like this, and everyone shares that sauce. I see! The outside is crispy, and the inside is juicy and tender, it’s irresistible~! And when you think of Kansai, it’s definitely the red miso soup. There are also many creative and unique kushikatsu (deep-fried skewers) on the menu. The food was so good that I unusually went for a second helping. The 15th skewer of the course was surprisingly strawberry × sweet rice cake! I had so many delicious things today and was completely satisfied with the day. On the third day’s breakfast, I went to “Marufuku Coffee Shop, Sennichimae Branch.” This retro coffee shop, established in 1934, This shop appeared in Seiko Tanabe’s novel “Bara no Ame.” The pancakes baked on a copper plate have a nostalgic taste and aroma. It is said to be a popular menu item that has not changed over the years. The toast sandwich also looked fluffy and delicious. As for the coffee, my husband said it’s “the best taste I’ve ever had.” It really has a deep, traditional coffee taste. This is definitely the kind of coffee that goes perfectly with these pancakes…! After enjoying the classic morning coffee shop breakfast, I headed toward my next destination while soaking in the “classic Osaka” atmosphere. Even though I just ate, takoyaki (octopus balls) is a must-have! After passing through Ebisu Bridge, I arrived at the vintage shop “AURA.” It’s a shop that specializes in vintage items from brands of Paris, Milan, and London, with each store dedicated to a specific city’s brands. The London store, which I really wanted to visit, was also nearby, and the interior made it feel like I was truly on a street corner in London. Traditional Burberry jackets and bags. And Vivienne Westwood, which I loved back in my student days. Even now, it’s still cute and timeless…! When I was in high school, I worked a lot and bought the small earrings. Then, when I became a university student, I worked even more, and visiting the Vivienne Westwood flagship store in London is a great memory. Walking down memory lane, I headed to “BIOTOP.” After passing through an entrance that looked like a botanical garden, and there is a café inside the shop. He loves rare and new flavors, while I prefer the classic, traditional tastes. I prefer my coffee and lattes unsweetened. The BIOTOP store has a lot of carefully selected items. On the first floor, they have trendy self-care products, fabric items, and perfumes, all of which have great taste. There were also ceramic works by artists. Next, I went to “70B OSAKA” for my last shop visit in Osaka. This vintage shop has multiple locations in Kansai, and I had been wanting to visit the Osaka one after going to the Kyoto branch. They have vintage items at the industry’s lowest prices, Items in good condition are being sold for about 20-30% less than the market price. In stores located in Tokyo, the same items could even be twice the price! Even popular items like the Scandart Ltd. sideboards are sold at such prices. The reason for the low prices is the high turnover rate. The items sell out quickly in-store, so they can’t sell them online. This is a great shop for vintage beginners, and I recommend visiting when you’re in the Kansai area. For my final dinner in Osaka, I went to the bistro “Hamac de Paradis.” It’s a long-established and popular restaurant in Minamisemba, famous for its delicious croquettes at 300 yen each. I had champagne and a drunken shrimp and avocado tartare, and then came the famous croquettes with demi-glace sauce! This demi-glace sauce, I want to put it in my bottle and take it home! It’s so delicious. So, so good! So delicious, in fact, that I ordered another one! Haha. I also had vongole pasta, and my stomach and heart were both satisfied~! (Croquette) Because you ordered a second one! It’s just so incredibly delicious, It’s the best I’ve ever had! Is this croquette not sold at the Restaurant in Tokyo? They don’t serve it in Tokyo… I wish they would! It’s so, so good! Even for lunch, most people who come on the weekends almost always order the croquettes. I see. I ate and drank plenty, and had a fulfilling final dinner in Osaka. I’m so happy to have discovered a place I’ll definitely want to visit again. I hurriedly checked out of the hotel, and had breakfast at McDonald’s inside Shin-Osaka Station. There’s something comforting about being able to go to McDonald’s for breakfast. I ate in 10 minutes and quickly left Osaka. Now, onto the last destination of this trip. After a 3-hour ride from Shin-Osaka Station, I arrived at Gujo Hachiman in Gifu Prefecture. The reason I came here was to learn about the creation of wooden accessories at “BONUQUE.” Each piece is carefully crafted by artisans, and it takes an unbelievable amount of time to create a single product. During this trip, I saw some amazing vintage furniture, and I want to create pieces that are as cherished and long-lasting as those. I wanted to see the actual process of making them. The craftsmen carefully carve the wood so that it resembles the motif of the “moon.” You can feel the craftsmen’s heartfelt thoughts in each piece. They carefully package each piece and send it off to its new owner. This was a great opportunity to hear the craftsmen’s thoughts once again. I felt a surge of happiness and was deeply moved. I spent 3 nights and 4 days observing beautiful things, and it inspired me to create long-lasting works, like vintage furniture, and to build a brand that will make many people’s hearts flutter. It was a trip that gave me that kind of inspiration. I hope this trip video serves as inspiration for you, just as it did for me. I’m glad if it can help you in some way. Well then, I’ll see you in the next video. NIKO

Niko, you are back !!!!!!! This is probably one of my first YouTube comments !! I’m so happy to see you back
