Stayed at HOTEL ROUTE-INN SAKAIDEKITA INTER Room interior Room interior It’s raining, so we’ll have to change our plans to an indoor activity. Let’s go wander around Okayama Aeon A place where you can go crazy Let’s find something to eat at the food court. We’ve decided to eat at Tsukiji Gindaco, the famous takoyaki chain. After driving for over two hours, we’ve arrived at Mansuirou in Misasa. Upon entering, you can take either the escalator or the elevator. You check in at the lobby on the second floor. The lobby of this traditional Japanese onsen hotel has plenty of seating for guests to relax. There’s also a Tottori souvenir section here. If you don’t have time to buy souvenirs in Tottori or Yonago, you can purchase them directly here. Let’s Check Out the Room! During check-in, our luggage had already been taken to our room. The bathroom and toilet are separate. It’s a super spacious room, perfect even for three generations of a family to stay comfortably. Inside the closet, you’ll find yukata (Japanese robes) and towels. You can also get these at the main public bath if you prefer. Right outside the window, you can see the Mitoku River and Misasa Bridge. Once you walk from Mansuirou to Misasa Bridge, you’ll find yourself in the Onsen Street (hot spring town). Yakushi Nyorai (the Medicine Buddha) is a common sight in Japanese hot spring towns. He is the Buddha who saves sentient beings from illness and suffering. There aren’t many dinner options on Onsen Street. Also, most of the shops are not open. In the end, we decided to have dinner at Chadaya, which is right at the entrance of the Onsen Street. Raw horse meat, or basashi, tastes like sashimi. We mainly ordered beef bone ramen and okonomiyaki. After a satisfying meal, we walked back to Mansuirou, enjoying the scenery along the bridges. A neighbor’s chubby cat The next day, we visited the Gosho Aoyama Manga Factory. It’s packed with Conan elements both inside and out. However, photography and video recording of the original manuscripts are not allowed. After exploring the museum, we went outside to walk along Conan Avenue. Let’s try pressing the intercom at the Kudo Residence. We’re having lunch at Conan’s Kitchen in Beika Shopping Street. It’s full of Detective Conan themes. It wasn’t a huge portion, but the food was tasty. Let’s go wander around Beika Shopping Street outside. The Conan Bridge on the way from the Gosho Aoyama Manga Factory to the station. From Conan Bridge to Conan Station. The inside of Conan Station is very small. The tourist information center next door has many souvenirs and merchandise available for purchase. There’s also the latest Conan movie poster, featuring “One-eyed Flashback” The views upon entering the station. There’s a coin-operated locker not far from the station. We strolled all the way to the Gosho Aoyama Manga Factory, and then drove to our next destination. Our next stop is the Tottori Nijisseiki Pear Museum, one of the few museums in the world dedicated solely to pears. On that day, admission was free, but unlike in the past, we couldn’t sample any pears. We came to Yakiniku Gyuo for yakiniku (grilled meat), right next to Kurayoshi Station. We ordered the popular platter set. The portion wasn’t huge, but adding some rice made it filling. It’s private and the meat is delicious. I highly recommend it! Next, we went to a self-service laundry to wash three days’ worth of clothes. We returned to the hotel to soak in the hot springs, concluding today’s itinerary.
