【町全体がホテル!?】愛媛県の大洲にあるNIPPONIA HOTEL 大洲 城下町は、アルコールを含むドリンク飲み放題!歴史的建造物を改築したお部屋に泊まって優雅な時間を過ごそう!
Hello everyone! I’m in Ehime Prefecture! I highly recommend the accommodation I’m introducing today! Please stay with me until the end! It takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes by plane from Tokyo to Matsuyama Airport. It takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes by limousine bus from Matsuyama Airport to Iyo-Ozu Station, and there is a hotel shuttle to the station. If you rent a car, it will take you an hour to get there. We arrive at NIPPONIA HOTEL Ozu Jokamachi. Let’s check in. The building is an old house, and it’s very spacious!! Check-in takes place at a table. Before checking in, we were served Ozu’s famous sweet “Shigure”, tea, and a towel. Staff member: Our hotel is a decentralized hotel. Is this your first time staying at a decentralized hotel? This black grid mark is our hotel’s mark, and our guest rooms are scattered throughout the town. Our concept is to treat the entire town as a hotel and have you enjoy the town itself. I’ll explain the location. You are currently in the OKI building. Today, Mr. M will be staying in Room 502 in the MUNE building next to the OKI building. This time, you have booked a breakfast-only plan, so this is the breakfast venue. The venue has now changed and is now in the TUNE building. A staff member will guide you there later. In this MUNE building, we have our own lounge. Opening hours are from 8am to 10pm. During your stay, we will be serving you local sake, and you can also enjoy a taste test of Ehime-style mandarin orange juice, so please make use of this opportunity. Now, let’s move on to breakfast. Next, excuse me. Tomorrow’s breakfast will be prepared in this Japanese style meal. Currently, the chef has prepared a set of this specialty, egg on rice. This dish is made with eggs from chickens raised completely pesticide-free in a place called Hijikawa in Ozu. Would you like to order this? I didn’t order egg on rice. “Shigure” is a Japanese sweet made by mixing red beans with rice flour or mochi flour and steaming it in a bamboo steamer. The elegant sweetness of the red beans was just right and it was delicious. I head to the lounge through the courtyard of the reception building. The building where the reception is located was apparently the building of a wealthy wax merchant during the Edo period. Wax was a luxury item at the time, so it makes sense that the building is so large. It will also be designated as a national tangible cultural property in August 2023. As you leave the building, the lounge and the reserved room are located on the premises to the right. The building on the left is the lounge. Take a break in the lounge♪ The inside has been stylishly renovated. Ice maker Hot water Coffee maker There is also a capsule-type coffee maker. Black tea Herbal tea is served in a test tube, which is very stylish♡ Japanese alcohol and whiskey Mixed nuts Checking the fridge Asahi beer (premium!) Italian beer Chilean red wine, Australian red and white wine Champagne from France The bottom row is… When you think of Ehime, you think of mandarin orange juice Three types of local sake from Ehime Strong carbonated water, ginger ale, cola I think there’s enough variety! There is a wide variety of glasses to choose from to go with your drink. The lounge is amazing!! I can’t drink alcohol so I had mandarin orange juice. The mandarin orange juice on the right was over US$4 at the airport! I was surprised at how expensive it was! Room 502 at the back of the lounge is where I’ll be staying tonight. The room was apparently renovated from a storehouse. It certainly does look like a storehouse. When you enter, you’ll see a free space right in front of you. It’s a two-story building. On the left is the bathroom. On the right are the stairs leading to the second floor. Let’s go up to the second floor first. The building has been renovated, but the beams and other parts seem to remain the same. Look at this. I think the writing was originally written at the time of construction. You can see writing on the pillar over there. You can really feel the history here. Go up the stairs and you’ll find the desk. The closet is behind the desk. Hangers, haori Insecticide, air freshener Security box The beams are low. You have to crouch down a little to move forward. The ceiling is close! It’s like an attic, and it’s fun! A fusion of Japanese and modern. So stylish♪ Electric kettle Two bottles of water Welcome champagne (full bottle!) It’s nicely chilled in a bucket. There are snacks in the room too. Check under the shelf. There’s a fridge. The usually empty fridge has drinks in it!!! lol I wonder what’s in there? Let’s take some out. Orange juice Cola, ginger ale Soda, two bottles of water Sake Champagne Asahi beer What’s next to the fridge? Black tea Coffee Green tea Air purifier Humidifier Two Japanese-style electrical outlets Yukata and socks The greenery outside the window is beautiful ♡ Checking out the bathroom. The large wooden bathtub with grey tiles is stylish and cool! Unfortunately, this time it’s not a hot spring. There are two handles. Handheld shower Overhead shower Body soap, shampoo, conditioner Towel hanger Hair dryer, towels, glasses The round sink is cute☺ Hand soap and amenities are lined up. Body towel Cotton and cotton swabs Razor Hairbrush Shower cap and hair band Toothbrush set The skin care set contained cleansing, face wash, lotion, and milky lotion. Body lotion Behind the door at the back is the toilet, with writing still on the wall from when it was a storehouse. Washlet You’ll get four special benefits if you make a reservation on the website. 1. Traditional sweets from Ozu 2. Wood vinegar oil 3. Sparkling wine 4. 10% off additional dishes and drinks Enjoy the special traditional sweets from Ozu! A Japanese sweet made of bean paste wrapped in warabi mochi and sprinkled with kinako. It was apparently a favorite of the feudal lord of Ozu. Oh! This is delicious!! The balance between the softness of the warabimochi and the sweetness of the bean paste and kinako is just right! I can’t drink so I just took pictures 😢 A weekday stay, tax and service charges included, and a breakfast plan was US$132. After the room tour, we went back to the lounge. Maybe because the weather was nice, there were a lot of people drinking outside. We were told that we would be shown other rooms, so we took a break and then headed out! There are also rooms available for lodging in the OKI building where the reception is located. It’s really spacious, isn’t it? The stairs in front of you lead to the rooms where you can stay. We will be taking a look at room 203. Perhaps it is a barrel from when they were in business. It faces the courtyard on the premises. Bathroom Is this a lounge? It’s spacious! Bedroom There’s a room in the back, too. There’s another bedroom! This room faces the street, and the old house across the street is very quaint. The buildings with white curtains across from Ozu Castle are all accommodations run by NIPPONIA HOTEL. We’ll be taking a look at one of them. It’s room 102 in the SADA building. The window shaped like a plum blossom is so cute. Japanese-style main room At the end of the hallway is a door that looks like a hidden door There is a toilet. There is a veranda. The bathroom has also been renovated and is very spacious and beautiful. Even though it’s an old house, the facilities are the latest. It’s comfortable and very convenient. Let’s go up to the second floor. The hallway that surrounds the room is lovely♡ Bedroom There’s another room at the back of the bedroom. Ozu Castle is right in front of you!!! What a great view! This picture is so cool!! I’m back in the lounge. The area around the lounge is lit up at night. By sheer coincidence, there is only one room further back than the lounge, and I booked that room, so I’m the only one staying in room 502 who walks down this path. It feels like a private path, and it makes me feel elegant. The lounge is nearby and it’s convenient, so I chose a nice room♪ It looks cool. For dinner, I went to a local restaurant. The light coming through the latticed windows piques my curiosity. I wonder how they’re spending their time? I’ve come outside the premises. It’s very quiet. The night view is also nice. We head to a restaurant with a high Google rating, a two-minute walk from the inn. On the way, we passed the building where we will have breakfast tomorrow. This tall light was apparently originally a chimney from an oil refinery. The building inside is also quite charming. I’m looking forward to tomorrow. We’ll have dinner at a local restaurant called “Amimoto.” The restaurant has counter seating and tatami-mat table seating. Maybe a fish tank? Here’s the menu. It’s great that they have set meals♡ They’re not too expensive and are nice. If you want to drink alcohol, they also have a menu of a la carte dishes. They have both meat and fish. I ordered the sea bream rice set meal. Clear soup Two small side dishes are included. Ehime specialty “sea bream rice” Mix well and put on rice. This looks delicious!! Put it all in at once! The sea bream meat looks chewy and delicious!! The sea bream meat is transparent. It feels fresh. Very delicious!! Highly recommended!! White fish nanbanzuke. The seasoning is very much to my liking. Blanched green vegetables. I forgot what it tasted like lol My favorite!! Deep fried octopus♡ The octopus was very tender and delicious☺ The chicken tempura set meal arrived. They gave me a large serving as a service. The side dishes were the same. Apparently it’s eaten with tempura sauce and ponzu sauce. Clean soup The chicken tempura looks delicious! I saw it on Google photos and I wanted to eat it!! With tempura sauce Put the freshly fried, hot chicken on top of rice! The meat is tender and delicious!! When you come to Ozu, this is the only place to go. With both my stomach and my heart full, I returned to my room. The bathtub is large, so it takes 30 to 40 minutes to fill with water. I’m going to enjoy my bath time by adding wood vinegar, which is a special perk for booking directly from the website. Is it okay to add everything? ? I feel a bit guilty because I use a lot of hot water… I can’t drink alcohol, so I enjoy my bath time with ginger ale♡ The carbonation is irresistible!! It makes me feel so elegant.✨ The night is getting late. Good night. Good morning. It’s a beautiful morning with the sun shining through the skylight. I’ve arrived at the breakfast venue I went to last night. It’s a beautiful Japanese garden with lots of greenery. If I take it easy I’ll be late for my reservation. The interior of the restaurant is cute♡ They prepared a private room for us. A Japanese breakfast made with local Ehime ingredients. Looks delicious✨ You can have more rice and miso soup. Personally, the amount and variety of dishes was just right. The sweet white miso soup was so delicious that I had a second helping. When you think of Ehime, you think of citrus fruits. The flesh is so shiny! My mouth felt so refreshed. Thank you for the meal. After the meal, I returned to the lounge. I took a leisurely break after the meal. What did you all think? Why not enjoy a relaxing stroll through the castle town?
