短編映画「徳島の阿波踊りとは」

町の名前は徳島。

旅する写真家が初めて日本の三代盆踊り「徳島の阿波踊り」に参加し、
この祭りが伝えようとする私達へのメッセージを映像化した。

二日間参加。(阿波踊り五日間のうち四日目と最終日)
初日はよいよい囃子にてむつきが篠笛を演奏する様子を映した密着映像
二日目は南内町演舞場で土砂降りの中圧巻の演技を観覧した。

Set in the town of Tokushima, this short film follows a traveling photographer as he takes part in one of Japan’s three great Bon Odori festivals — Awa Odori — for the very first time. Through his lens, he captures the unspoken message this powerful tradition still conveys to us today.

The film was shot over two days during the five-day celebration:

Day One features an intimate documentary scene with flutist Mutsuki performing the Yoiyoi Hayashi with the group Mutuki.

Day Two captures a breathtaking performance in the Minamiuchimachi Enbujo stage, danced under a dramatic downpour.
