【長崎旅】1人4,000円で遊覧船×水族館×動物園を満喫 | 夏休み

Today’s theme is “Enjoying a boat, an aquarium, and a zoo all in Sasebo, Nagasaki!” Plus … a combined ticket costs just ¥4,000 per adult! (See the description below!) The Kujukushima Islands (Sasebo City, Nagasaki Prefecture) are known as “one of the most beautiful bays in the world.” This bay is internationally acclaimed. First, we’ll take a scenic cruise around the Kujukushima Islands! 🚢 We’ll be boarding the Pearl Queen (shown on the right), with its elegant, calm, and classic exterior. The trip takes about 50 minutes. Mornings are recommended for beautiful ocean views and fewer crowds! The deck can get windy, so be careful not to blow away your hat or scarf. The boat is large, with a capacity of 280 people. Many families visit. While the adult fare is ¥1,500, the combined ticket for the aquarium and zoo (¥4,000) is the best value! Let’s get aboard! The first floor is fully air-conditioned and indoors. It’s beautiful. We then head up to the second floor, where the seats are semi-outdoor. Feel the sea breeze while enjoying the scenery. Going even higher, we were rewarded with a spectacular 360-degree view! We set sail! The guides greeted us! 😭 Hmmm, the sea breeze and the warmth of the morning sun were so pleasant… Soon after setting sail, we discovered an oyster farm, a Nagasaki specialty. The wind started to pick up, so we headed indoors. The view from inside was also truly beautiful! The sightseeing boat made announcements to explain the sightseeing spots. The Kujukushima Islands are made up of 208 islands, and their name comes from “Kujuku” (lots) . Said to have the highest island density in Japan, the islands are far closer together than the Seto Inland Sea . We arrived at a spot where the islands were only a few dozen meters apart . The waves were incredibly calm, like a mirror. I’ve never seen islands so close together before. The 360-degree view was amazing! The ecosystem is rich, and if you’re lucky, you might even spot birds of prey like ospreys and peregrine falcons! I took a short break indoors, feeling thirsty and in the mood for some juice. ♪ I chose this juice, inspired by the Kujukushima Islands! Drinking the juice while enjoying the spectacular view was so refreshing… And before we knew it, we were back on the boat. It wasn’t too long, it was a really fun cruise! Thank you very much. After disembarking, we discovered this gachapon machine! It costs 500 yen per turn. It’s a gachapon machine themed around sea creatures! I wonder what’ll come out? It’s so light! I was almost curious as to whether there was anything inside… Yes, there was definitely something inside (^^) It was time for the opening ceremony! 😝 A super cute whale came out! lol This was a perfect hit for us! 🥰 There were many other cute creatures, too. We arrived at the Umi Kirara Aquarium. It’s a 5-minute walk from the ferry terminal. The first thing that caught our eye was a picture of Sakana-kun. My husband and I both love Sakana-kun, so we were super excited! 😂 We want this picture! This is an aquarium that recreates the ocean of the Kujukushima Islands . I found a tiny fish. Maybe a baby filefish? This is a Southern Pufferfish. Relaxation time! Everyone’s favorite sea turtle. A motionless shark. So cute! 🥰 Besides the aquarium, there were plenty of other features for kids to enjoy! There was even a cool model shark. Towards the end, we had fun searching for seahorses! Next up was the zoo. “Mori Kirara” is a 10-minute drive from the ferry terminal and aquarium. This place is home to about 100 species of animals. First , we saw one of our targets: giraffes. It’s been a while since I’ve seen one, and they’re truly mystical creatures! Their horse-like faces and gentle eyes seem to draw you in. You can even feed giraffes here! As they munched on cabbage , another one appeared, making two. It’s a wonderful experience to be able to interact with giraffes at such close range! The zookeeper was a wonderful person, with a deep love for the giraffes! He seemed interested in my camera, so he came over to me (lol). The zoo is spacious, and I saw some goats having casual physical contact with them. 😂 I looked up and spotted a monkey! He was tightrope walking! Amazing! Wow! He was running skillfully on the pole, so impressive! 😂 The monkey behind him was also chasing him with a spectacular tightrope walk. It was a truly spectacular performance! Next up were two meerkats, lined up next to each other. They’re incredibly cute! They’re kept in a wild-like environment, and multiple meerkats are kept here. They’re popular with both children and adults, and it’s easy to take photos and videos. If you see them in person, you’ll definitely be captivated! 🥰 At this zoo, you can even feed red pandas treats! Because they’re nocturnal, red pandas are docile during the day, but here you can see them being very active. The red panda feeding experience is first-come, first-served, so it’s recommended to purchase your tickets as soon as the zoo opens! Under the guidance of the staff, we fed them apples from the branches. This zoo not only breeds and exhibits animals, but also promotes future wildlife conservation through education and breeding. We also saw colorful and cute parakeets, Asiatic black bears, pelicans , and cheetahs! Since the gachapon machine was so much fun, I’ll try it at the zoo too! 😺 I turned the lever. What will I get this time? It felt light when I held it, and I was a bit worried. 😂 Now, it’s time for the opening ceremony! Oh, another cute one! A penguin, just my type! 🐧 Definitely try it as a souvenir! It’s so much fun! We collected the capsule here . We headed to our final destination: Ishidake Observatory. It’s a three-minute drive (or a ten-minute walk) from Mori Kirara Zoo. This is a spectacular spot with a panoramic view of the Kujukushima Islands . Located at the summit of Ishidake, at an elevation of 191 meters, we continued climbing. While it’s possible to walk from Mori Kirara Zoo, we recommend taking a car in summer and winter! The forest is opening up. Almost there! There was a small rest area ! Wow ! A spectacular view already unfolded before my eyes. The Kujukushima islands, large and small, spread out below me. Apparently , this is where the opening scene of the movie “The Last Samurai” was filmed!! The blue and green were so beautiful, I almost forgot about the heat 😂 It seemed like we were almost at the observation deck. After climbing the stairs all the way… we finally arrived!! The view was certainly even better than the rest area we had just left!! The impact is lessened in the video, but the scenery is quite impressive. We were able to see a truly Nagasaki-like spectacle illuminated by the sun! I’m so glad I went 😝 Thank you for watching until the end. I’m going to have a Sasebo burger before heading home. If you enjoyed this video, I’d be happy if you could give it a like!! 🥰 Thank you very much
