人気観光地から近い驚愕コスパのオールインクルーシブ宿。貸切温泉も全部無料。チェックインした瞬間から夢のようなサービスが続く宿
We came to Owakudani in Hakone-machi, Kanagawa Prefecture. Owakudani is a sloping area formed by the collapse of Hakone’s highest peak, Kamiyama, and has an elevation of 1,044m. It is a fumarolic zone formed by the last eruption of the Hakone volcano about 3,000 years ago. Before the Meiji era, it was called “Great Hell,” but as tourism development progressed, it was developed to allow visitors to see the smoke and sulfur, and has become one of Hakone’s most popular tourist spots . This is a large object with the motif of Owakudani’s specialty, “black eggs.” Many people were holding black eggs, so we were tempted to try some as well. The shells of black eggs, which are ingredients of hot springs, become black due to the hydrogen sulfide and iron they contain. It is said that eating one black egg will extend your life by seven years. Black eggs are known for their deliciousness, and when they were tested on a TV program, they were found to have about 20% more umami than regular boiled eggs. They also came with salt. They have a slight hint of sulfur. AromaThe yolk is fluffy and simple, yet somehow has a special taste. One of the joys of traveling is being able to enjoy the unique flavors of each region. This is a new experiential observation area that opened in April 2025 in Owakudani, Hakone. Its name is “Chikyu no Tani” (Valley of the Earth). This area has a theme of “Black, Geo, and Wind,” and each zone is designed to allow you to experience the nature of Owakudani in a different way. When you climb the stairs, the first thing that catches your eye is the “Kaze no Wa Terrace.” As its name suggests, the terrace is a smooth circle with the wind blowing through it from the center, and you can see the majestic nature of Hakone in all directions. In one corner of the terrace, there is a space that juts out towards the mountain, which is recommended as a spot for commemorative photos. The fence is not too high and does not block the view, so the impressive steam and cliffs are captured in the photos as they are. This is the “Breath Deck.” It seems to jut out into the air. The floor and fence are made of glass , but my sister gave up because she couldn’t go. When we stepped onto the deck, we were surprised at how high it was. At our feet and over the fence, we could see the rugged rock surface, the constant steam , and yellow and white sulfur crystals. One of the symbols of Owakudani is the view of the Hakone Ropeway gondolas slowly moving through the valley. “Ozora no Hotori” is a spot where you can get a close-up view of the Hakone Ropeway. This is also “Tani no Marche”, which reopened on April 25th. We had lunch at the Owakudani Station Restaurant. It was a hearty menu. There was a counter seat by the window that overlooked the Owakudani fumarole area, so we could enjoy our meal with an excellent view. Dad had the most popular special Owakudani cutlet curry. Mom and sister shared a set meal of minced cutlet with Ashigara beef. It was nice to eat while looking at Owakudani. The batter was crispy. The minced meat cutlet was light and juicy on the inside. To-san shared his curry with me, which was spicy and had a mature taste. Thank you for the meal ! There are several restaurants in Owakudani, so we decided to have dessert here. We bought an anko waffle soft serve ice cream. It was hot that day, so the cold soft serve was a blessing… The combination with the anko was perfect, and we were able to take a breather. When we left the parking lot at Owakudani, there was a traffic jam of cars waiting to park. Owakudani’s parking lot can fill up during busy times, so it’s best to arrive early. It’s about a 10-minute drive from Owakudani to the hotel where we’ll be staying for the night. We’ll be staying at the hot spring inn “Hakone Yutowa” in Gora, Hakone, which opened in August 2019. The hotel’s name, Yutowa, comes from the image of “hot springs,” which evokes the warmth and relaxed atmosphere of the hotel, and is a “circle” that connects you and your loved ones and allows you to spend time together. The hotel’s greatest attraction is the all-inclusive lounge, which offers drink service, sweets time, a foot bath and bonfire, a spa lounge, and private baths… there are so many special services that the stay itself becomes the purpose of the trip. Access is about 90 minutes by car from Tokyo, take the Odakyu Romance Car from Shinjuku to Hakone Yumoto, then transfer to the Hakone Tozan Railway for a total of about 2 hours . It is only a 5-minute walk from the nearest Gora Station, and while it is close to the station, it is in a quiet location surrounded by forest, making it the perfect base for sightseeing. Hakone The Yutowa Parking Lot is located 150 meters from the hotel and is free to use. The station is close by, so if you’re lucky, you can enjoy the Hakone Tozan Railway running up close on the way to the parking lot or right in front of the hotel. The lobby has a calm atmosphere with an impressive warmth of wood and indirect lighting. This is the front desk . Payment is required in advance at check-in. There is an amenity corner in front of the front desk with cotton, cotton swabs, hairbrushes, razors, and a pot. There is no shop in the building, but you can choose souvenirs here. This is the yukata corner. There are colorful yukatas ranging from large sizes to children’s sizes , which makes the travel mood even more festive. We have come to the second floor and would like to take a look at the guest rooms . There are two buildings on the premises, the main building and the condominium building. The main building offers a hotel stay with a buffet, while the condominium building offers a stay with a kitchen, so you can choose according to your travel style. This time We will be staying in a standard guest room in the main building. The room is a tatami-floored room where you take off your shoes before entering. It is a twin-type Western-style room with a simple and warm design. The bed is made by Simmons. The phone, outlet, and light switches are all located next to the pillow, so it was comfortable. It is simply furnished with a table and sofa. There are also towels, bags, and a hot spring bath . You can’t see the distant view, but the maple trees and hydrangeas in the courtyard that you can see from the window give it a nice atmosphere. This is the toilet and shower room. A hairdryer and toothbrush are provided. It was a room with a Japanese modern and calm atmosphere. That concludes the room tour. Now let’s take a look inside the building. This is the library lounge. The library lounge is a space created with the concept of connecting people with each other in a “circle” of interaction, such as friends, family, and fellow travelers. There are table seats, counter seats, and sofa seats, and you can use them however you like . The library’s bookshelves have a theme of the four seasons, and are decorated with approximately The library has a collection of 700 books, including essays, photo books, picture books, and more, and is a lineup that can be enjoyed by a wide range of people, including foreign tourists. Books can also be taken out within the facility. What is particularly eye-catching is the circular, enclosed seating area, which has a comforting design that makes you feel as if you are inside a cocoon, and is said to be a popular photo spot. This is a perfect space not only for reading books, but also for spreading out your laptop and working. The library is fully equipped with Wi-Fi, and there is a charging station on each table. The drink corner is free to drink, so you can enjoy as much as you like, whenever you like, with about 13 types of drinks, including coffee, tea, oolong tea, juice, and carbonated drinks. Opening hours are from 6:00 to 24:00, and alcohol is also provided free of charge between 19:00 and 22:00. If you want to read a book, It’s nice to relax with a drink while reading. At 3pm they start serving snacks, so I’ll come back later. There is also a comic corner in one corner of the library lounge. There are about 1,000 manga books, with a collection that is very satisfying to read, from popular works to hidden masterpieces. There are also translated manga, such as English versions, which are great for foreigners. Hammocks are provided, so you can relax and enjoy manga. The space, decorated with art on the walls with motifs of “LEGO®” and “hanafuda”, is also recommended as a photo spot. Next to the manga corner, there was a massage chair. It costs 300 yen for 15 minutes. Next, we headed to the large public bath in the west building. The large public bath is open from 3pm to 11pm, and from 6am to 9:30am the next day, and there is no switching between men and women. You can put your shoes in the lockers here. Clean changing room. Lockers with locks available. Fully equipped with Sekkisei and DHC skin care products. The hair dryer had a strong, comfortable airflow. The women’s large bath is a fantastic space where light and hot water intertwine. What catches your eye are the large and small windows on the ceiling and walls. The natural light that shines in through them shines through the blue, green, and yellow acrylic, creating a beautiful gradation of light on the surface of the bath. It shows completely different expressions during the day and at night, which is also fun. There is another bath here as well. A micro-bubble bath with fine bubbles that feel good. The countless fine bubbles feel good on your skin. The water feels smooth and warms you up from the core of your body. There is also a sauna. It was a large bath with a colorful and gorgeous atmosphere. Next is the men’s bath. It is the same as the women’s bath, so I will introduce it briefly. The men’s large bath has a decoration on the ceiling. The wooden design is impressive. The hot spring is from the private hot spring source, Ninotaira Onsen, known as the “beauty bath” and one of the 17 hot springs in Hakone, and the spring quality (sodium chloride hot spring) is known for making the skin smooth. There are 10 washing places in total. There is no cold bath, but the sauna alone makes the bath more satisfying. Hakone Yutowa also offers day trips to the hot springs. No reservation is required, so you can drop in empty-handed. Bath towels and face towels are available for free. In addition to the hot springs, you can relax in the public spaces of the building, and there is a free drink corner and snacks and popsicles are available. There is a spa lounge just outside the large bath. It is a relaxing space where you can relax after the bath or spend your time as you like. Free drinks are available here. Mixed berry, lemon, and apple cider vinegar detox water is refreshing and perfect for a drink after a bath. You can also enjoy free popsicles and milk after a bath. The milk is small enough that even children can finish it. There are four types of popsicles: apple, muscat, grape, and peach. Milk and ice cream are available until midnight and from 6am the next morning. Outside the door of the spa lounge, you will find the Nakaniwa. On the wooden deck, there is a foot bath using the private hot spring water and a bonfire (gas type), and you can spend the night watching the flames. The foot bath using the private hot spring water facing the Nakaniwa is a healing place where you can take a break while feeling the seasonal breeze. I was happy to be able to choose a cushion and relax. There is also a swing-style swing chair. You can enjoy an extraordinary time that can only be experienced here in a stylish public space. In one corner of the spa lounge, there is a table game corner. There are various types of games available, including card games and board games. Next to the table game corner, there is a kids’ area with toys for children to play with. It is a playful space with magnetic building blocks to decorate the walls, a ball pool, coloring books, and more. This is the relaxation salon. Although there is an additional charge, it seems like it would be good to relieve your daily fatigue in the relaxation salon where you can receive body care and foot reflexology treatment menus. This is a private bath. There are two private baths, and neither of them require reservations, so you can use them by placing a sign on the entrance door. Each use is 30 minutes. The fee is free and you can use it as many times as you like if it is open. First, we will introduce the “Wa” bathroom, which has a modern and light atmosphere. The bathroom made of granite is a comfortable space that exudes quality in its simplicity. There are three washing areas and it is spacious enough. You can enjoy the hot springs at your leisure with your family and friends without worrying about the people around you. Next is the “Iyashi” bathroom, which has a chic and calm atmosphere. This is a bathroom made of granite that has a moist and calm atmosphere . The wooden accents add to the warm atmosphere and create a private bath where you can enjoy the hot springs of Hakone without having to worry about anyone. There are a total of three smoking areas in the building. A major feature of Hakone Yutowa is that the “all-inclusive” accommodation fee includes drinks, snacks, and use of the private baths. At 3 p.m., the snack corner appears. A variety of snacks are available until 7pm. You can also bring your own snacks and drinks into your room. Individually wrapped Madeleines, Ramune candies , chocolate sandwiches, biscuits, banana chips, mixed dried fruit, mixed nuts, wafers, chocolate chip cookies , butter cookies, kakinotane . Snacks are packed in this bag. The variety of snacks lined up in the lounge is so exciting that I brought a lot. Since alcohol is not served until 7pm , I purchased a beer from the vending machine and enjoyed it. The heat during the day is hard on the body… On days like this, I reset with a beer. Cheers . It wasn’t very cold, so let’s cool it with ice. Snacks go down well with beer. From 7pm, it’s time for sweets, which I’m looking forward to. After checking in, Being able to relax with a snack in hand is a luxury that can only be found in an all-inclusive resort. It’s time for the long-awaited dinner. On this day, there were three sessions starting at 5:30 p.m. The last entry is at 7:30 p.m. The buffet is a 90-minute session. Seats are reserved. The buffet table is divided into two rooms. It is a half-buffet style where each person can choose their main dish. At this time of year, you can choose from beef misuji teppanyaki or steamed summer vegetables with abalone and conger eel chiri. Let’s take a look at the salad corner. Colorful vegetables, mackerel and bean salad, cucumber, plum , cartilage, sea bream carpaccio, fried onion, croutons, olive oil, black pepper, rock salt, truffle dressing, roasted sesame, fried chicken, pork skewered cutlet, sauce, mustard, Sriracha sauce, barbecue, seaweed salt, mustard, sriracha sauce , BBQ, seaweed salt , mustard, sriracha sauce, BBQ, seaweed salt, seaweed, sriracha sauce … Food, ketchupFrench friesEscabeche of barracudaCaprese with olives and cheeseSimmered eggplantMarinated shrimp and octopusPair ribsSteamed mussels in sakeSummer vegetablesSweet and sour porkTempura (shrimp, pumpkin, eggplant, shishito peppers) It seems that you can also make tempura bowlMatcha salt, seaweed saltGrated daikon radish, grated gingerTempura bowl sauce , tempura sauceThis is the sushi cornerTunaSalmonOmeletteGinger , soy sauce, wasabiBeef stewGarlic toastBagetteCrab tartareTortilla , salsa , relishThis is dessertAlmond jellyWatermelonGrapesMangoUdonCold soup, tantan- style soup , hot soup, cold soupGreen onionGingerGrilled gingerNoriPork mince for tantanAsazukeMiso soupRiceFurikakeThis is the drink cornerGlasses are chilledNon -alcoholic beerBeer barrelDraft wineSpecial Honjozo Echigo Matsuro Junmai Dry Morimasu Honkaku Imo Shochu, Junmai Kaori Shochu, Takara Shochu Super Whisky, Suntory Whisky Peach liqueur, peppermint liqueur, passion fruit liqueur , vodka, gin, rum, Campari, cassis, red plum wine , regular soft drinks , Kobe, decaffeinated coffee, black tea , 4 types of ice cream, Hokkaido milk, Japanese black tea, lemon, grapes , tableware for children and baby food are also available, information on allergens is clearly displayed, and I can feel the attention to detail. Let’s arrange the food. Let’s try all the types of tempura. Another shrimp , beef stew with lots of meat. First, of course, beer. We piled it all up like this. Dad looks like this . Big sister looks like this . The arrangement of the carpaccio is, Better than me… I’ll start with campi squid prese. Olives and cheese go well together. The barracuda escabeche is a refreshing dish with a sweet and sour marinade that soaks into the fragrant fried barracuda. The tempura is crispy and goes well with beer. My sister also likes tempura and is happy with the carpaccio. Next, my mother also ate it, and it was a moist and smooth sea bream. The pork was crispy and juicy, and the sweet and sour sauce was addictive. The main dish we ordered came. My father, who likes meat, ordered beef misuji teppanyaki, and my mother and sister, who like seafood, ordered abalone. The beef misuji looks like this, and the abalone and conger eel look like this. I’m looking forward to the second glass of beer. I ordered the udon and after 10 minutes, a staff member came to take the lid away. It looked delicious. The steamed conger eel was fluffy and delicate , and although it was light in color, it was not at all unsatisfying. The more you chew the abalone, the more the aroma and flavor of the sea wafts through. The crunchy texture is irresistible. To- san shared some beef misuji with me, which was also soft and delicious. It’s nice to have a main dish, as it makes you feel special. There are several types of udon soup, so you can enjoy a variety of dishes. The tempura udon and tantan-style udon were both delicious. It was a spicy taste that went well with beer. For dessert, we had watermelon and ice cream. All three members of my family love watermelon, so just having watermelon for dessert got us excited. It was fresh and very delicious. The half buffet did not have many items, but the food was familiar and unpretentious, and the drinks went down well. Everything was simple, and the taste made me want to have more. It was a casual and enjoyable atmosphere. I was full. Thank you for the meal . It was 7pm, so I went to the lounge. The alcohol corner appeared . There was plum wine, cassis, peach liqueur, Dew’s highball, shochu , and Campari kale juice. You can make kale lemon sour and enjoy it as an alcoholic drink. The beer was Kirin draft beer, and you could enjoy it in a special glass. This is the sweets corner . The skewers of dumplings were topped with mitarashika anko . It seems that the sweet potato cake , sweet potato pudding, and persimmon seeds will continue to be served. The sweet potato pudding has a crunchy surface and the red bean paste is granular. For drinks , I had kale juice and beer, which I had been curious about . It was a luxurious time in the evening. We shared a toast with everyone. The kale juice was refreshing and delicious. I tried all the sweets, but the sweet potato pudding was rich and the most delicious. The simple sweetness of the sweet potato is soothing. The lounge at night had a moist atmosphere and I was able to relax while drinking alcohol. I came to Nakaniwa before going to bed. The bonfire lights were lit, and Nakaniwa was lit up with a calm atmosphere that was different from the daytime , so I watched the bonfire and enjoyed the snacks. Everyone was relaxing in wing chairs and soaking their feet in the foot bath. Good night for today. Good morning. The weather is nice today. The birds are singing and it’s a pleasant morning. The air makes you want to take a deep breath. It’s time for breakfast. Breakfast is served from 7:00 to 9:00, with the last entry at 8:30. Let’s take a look at the salad corner. Egg salad, cherry tomatoes, lettuce, corn, seaweed, various dressings , croutons, fried onions, olive oil, rock salt, black pepper, mentaiko , pickled plum, pickles , salted kelp, hijiki , grated radish , whitebait, tuna sukiyaki, yudofu , condiments, natto , seasoned seaweed, mekabu, salmon , onsen egg , scrambled eggs, bacon , sausages, ketchup, mustard, hash browns. Potato French toast Powdered sugar, cinnamon sugar, maple syrup This is the ramen corner Ramen Ramen soup Char siu, naruto, bamboo shoots, green onions Shijimi soup Corn potage Curry porridge White rice Furikake Fukujinzuke , parsley, croutons Brioche Matcha Danish Rice flour roll Croissant Bread Margarine, blueberry jam, strawberry jam Cheese Soy sauce, vinegar, chili oil, mustard Pork Yuba roll Steamed vegetables This is the dessert corner Banana Orange Grapefruit jelly (with nata de coco) Yogurt Soy milk Milk Granola Coffee Decaffeinated coffee I’ve looked through everything so I’ll start serving up right away The first round is Japanese food I would like to try the pork wrapped in yuba, which is a rare dish. I served it like this, my sister looked like this , and my husband looked like this . I’ll eat it. Hakone has always been a popular tourist destination, isn’t it? You can soak in the hot springs, relax in the mountain scenery, and enjoy Lake Ashi and the ropeway, as well as historic shrines. It’s close to the city center, but the moment you arrive, the air and scenery are like a different world . That contrast must be the charm of Hakone. There are long-established inns, casual hotels, and plenty of art and cafes. Hakone is perfect for an adult weekend where you want to enjoy everything. It’s rare to find ramen at a breakfast buffet. A simple soy sauce-based soup. Completed. I had some melted cheese, so I decided to make pizza toast. I could have put bacon on it, but I decided to make pizza toast without any toppings. I waited for 3 minutes and it was delicious. The melted cheese goes well with the crispy toast. The sweet ketchup has a nostalgic taste. It was a big portion so we all shared it, and everyone praised it as delicious. For dessert, I had French toast. It was a gently sweet French toast with a simple taste that I really liked. After a delicious breakfast, I was completely recharged. Thank you for the meal . It was time to check out . Check-out is at 10:00. I spent the time relaxing in the foot bath. The payment was already made at check-in, so all I had to do was return the room key. Now I’ll tell you about the price and my impressions of my stay. The cheapest price for Hakone Yutowa is 13,900 yen per adult for one night with two meals from the official website. The cheapest price for a plan with breakfast is 13,900 yen per adult. The price is 8,400 yen. This is the price for a semi-double room for two adults sharing one room. The standard twin room we stayed in this time includes two meals and costs 22,300 yen per adult (for two adults sharing one room). If you choose the plan that includes breakfast, it costs 16,800 yen per adult (for two adults sharing one room). The hotel is easily accessible to tourist spots and there are restaurants scattered around the area, so it might be a good idea to choose the plan that includes breakfast and have dinner at a time that suits you as you go about your sightseeing. Single guests are also accepted, and the cheapest plan for one night with two meals is 15,750 yen per person. Elementary school students are charged 70% off the adult price, and children aged 3 to 6 are charged 15,750 yen off the adult price. If you have a futon, it is 5,000 yen, if you sleep with your pet, it is 3,000 yen. Children from 0 to 2 years old are free. “Hakone Yutowa” is a relaxing inn where adults and children can relax as they like while enjoying board games, books, and even a kids’ space. The hot spring was a large bath and a private bath, and it was nice to be able to enjoy different atmospheres of the baths as many times as you like. There are surprisingly few inns where you can use the private baths as many times as you like for free, so it is a very valuable inn. What is particularly noteworthy is the large number of free services that can be enjoyed. After checking in, snacks and free drinks are prepared. In the evening, you can spend a little luxury time with sweets and alcoholic drinks, and after the bath, you can take a break with ice cream and milk. During your stay, there are many ideas to relax at your own pace. Details of Hakone Yutowa are listed in the description. Please check it out. Thank you for watching until the end. Thank you for watching until the end.
