My name is UCHIDA, and I am the editor-in-chief of the Jalan MOOK series. This time we will introduce hotels and inns with views of Mt. Fuji. Mount Fuji is also popular as one of Japan’s most famous tourist spots. It is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It truly is a symbol of Japan. Editor-in-Chief UCHIDA, do you like Mount Fuji? I, of course, love it. We are happy just to be able to see Mt. Fuji when we are traveling. Whenever we see Mount Fuji from the window of SHINKANSEN, we always try to take a photo. I always take photos of Mt. Fuji from the plane. The scenery changes depending on where you look. That is the charm of Mount Fuji. This time we will introduce hotels and inns where you can see Mt. FUJI from your hot springs or guest rooms. Please be sure to watch this until the end. The first one is a great hotel to see the rare Red FUJI and Black FUJI. This is SHUHOUKAKU KOGETSU. We can see Mt. Fuji from everywhere in the hotel, including the large public bath, lounge, and guest rooms. One of them is the Mt. Fuji View Footbath Terrace on the first floor. We soak our feet in a foot bath that uses water from the Lake Kawaguchi hot spring source. We can enjoy the scenery of each season. We recommend a morning bath in the Ladies open-air bath Red fuji.” It is early morning from July to October. We may even be able to see the rare Red Fuji, a phenomenon in which Mount Fuji turns red. It is rare to find guest rooms with a reclining NEYU or foot bath. This is rare. This is THE GRILL GEKKO, a teppanyaki restaurant. The chef will prepare your meal right in front of you using carefully selected beef, seafood, and seasonal ingredients. This is the dinner restaurant, THE GRILL MOONBOW. It serves a course of creative Western cuisine using seasonal and local ingredients. Along with that, we can enjoy hors d’oeuvres, desserts, etc. in buffet style. You can see Mt. Fuji from the large public bath, guest rooms, lobby, THE GRILL MOONBOW, Terrace of Light, and Terrace of Wind. The third one is a modern Japanese-style inn located on the shores of Lake Kawaguchi. This is Fuji Lakeside Inn Koraku Onyado Fuji Ginkei. To enjoy the spectacular view, we recommend you take in an open-air observation bath [Fujimi no Yu]” on the top floor. When we soak in the open-air bath, we can see Mt. FUJI at eye level. If the weather is good, you can see Mt. Fuji reflected upside down on the surface of the bathwater. a large bath [Meiseki bath], is surrounded by bold rock faces. From the window in the wash area, we can see Mt. Fuji. Mount Fuji can be seen from all guest rooms, including the special rooms. There is a chair by the window. The chair facing the window will be a great seat for us to look out over Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi. We can enjoy dinner in the panoramic restaurant. Fuji, has both an indoor bath and an open-air bath. The large public bath for men is called KIRAMEKINOYU. There is also a sauna and a waterfall bath. The large bath for women is TOKIMEKINOYU. We can feel refreshed in the indoor bath or the open-air rock bath. From the rooms with open-air baths, you can see Mount Fuji through the shoji screens. We can have the view from the open-air bath all to ourselves. If you want to enjoy the spectacular view even more, head to the rooftop where there are natural hot spring foot baths and telescopes available. The lake and mountains below look like a panoramic photograph. The hotel also features a modern tea lounge overlooking the lake. The lounge is available 24 hours a day. FUJI reflected in front of you. This is REMBRANDT PREMIUM FUJI GOTEMBA. CLUB REMBRANDT is a workation space on the 5th floor. From there we can see a spectacular view of Mt. Fuji right in front of us. It is equipped with office-like facilities and manga. We can use this space to concentrate on work or hobbies. We can use the on-site hot spring facility, KONOHANOYU. It is made from OSAWA stone quarried from OSAWAKUZURE on Mt. FUJI. There is also a standing bath that is about 130cm deep. A nice feature is that you can see Mt. Fuji from the sauna window. This is amazing. LOYLY is held four times a day. In addition, in the Fuji View Twin Room, we can enjoy a panoramic view of the majestic Mt. Fuji from the large windows. Dining Hanagoromo is an all-time buffet restaurant. A magnificent view of Mt. Fuji spreads out in front of you. Along with the picturesque scenery, we can taste about 50 kinds of cuisine, including Shizuoka prefecture’s specialties, Western, Japanese and Chinese cuisine.
