Hotel Resol Trinity Kyoto. Taking commemorative photos with maiko at a hotel event. The second night of our 4-night, 5-day Kyoto trip was at Hotel Resol Trinity Kyoto. Among the Resol Group’s hotels, Trinity Hotel offers a level of relaxation that’s a cut above the rest. This time, we used a shareholder discount coupon to stay at three Resol Group hotels in Kyoto City. To keep the price within the same range, we added options at the other hotels, bringing the room rate for all hotels to around 14,000 yen, including breakfast. Also, during the September event, all three hotels held maiko events. After watching the maiko dance, we participated in a photo session. For hotel events, we will include links to their official websites in the description section. However, the Sanjo hotel did have a maiko event, although it wasn’t listed on its website. We recommend checking with the hotel about event details before your stay. Please also refer to the chapter list in the description section. Access: The nearest station to the hotel is Kyoto City Hall Station on the Tozai Subway Line. Take the Karasuma Line from Kyoto Station to Karasuma-Oike Station, then transfer to the Tozai Line and get off at Kyoto City Hall Station, one stop away. You can also walk from Karasuma-Oike Station on the Karasuma Line or Sanjo Station on the Keihan Main Line. I checked out of Four Points Flex by Sheraton Kyoto Oike at 11:00 AM and arrived at this hotel in about a five-minute walk. I temporarily checked in to leave my luggage. After sightseeing, I returned and officially checked in at 3:00 PM. I booked through the official Risor website. At the three Risor hotels, I signed in using a tablet. There’s a courtyard decorated with wind chimes. This is a nighttime shot. Many people were relaxing here during the day. You need a room key to enter the hotel area. Bring your own amenities and tea from here. A tricolored toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush and cotton swabs, bath salts, and razor tea . Take the elevator . Signs in the elevator also show you where the vending machines, ice machine, microwave, laundry, smoking area, and large public bath are located. He speaks slowly, so I can understand even at double speed. There’s a bamboo blind in the room facing the courtyard. It was the farthest room from the elevator , but the closest to the emergency exit. I entered the room, but it was pitch black . In addition to slippers, I also had sandals for the public bath. I booked a hotel where I could meet maiko, with the standard Kyoto dance and photo session plan, including breakfast. It cost 14,000 yen for a weekday stay. There was a hanger next to the entrance. A tote bag for when I went to the bath. The room was the type where you take off your shoes before entering, but I wonder if the foreigners take their shoes off before entering. There were two bottles of water, and a drawer with coffee cups and coffee packs. There was a refrigerator below. Under the TV, there was a trash can and an air purifier. And outside the window… What’s that? I can’t see! I could open and close the blinds using the bedside button. A glimpse of green forest ahead. I wonder if that’s the Kyoto Imperial Palace? I was staying alone, but the bed was a wide double. There were power outlets on both sides of the bed, a charging station, and a comfortable Japanese-style chair. The bathroom also had shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and hand soap. The night view was hot again today. My pajamas were separate , and the shoji windows shone brightly. The next morning , I had matcha tea . A matcha set was provided in my room. If it was too strong, I could dilute it with hot water later. A sweet Japanese snack would be perfect. The public bath: This hotel has a public bath on the first floor. It’s open anytime, except for the three hours between 3 PM on the day of check-in and 10 AM on the day of check-out, and between 2 AM and 5 AM. You have to bring your own towel from your room, but everything else is provided. I went after 3 PM after check-in and again in the evening, and it wasn’t crowded. To access the women’s bath, you need a special spa card key. This tote bag, located under the hanger, is convenient for getting to the bath. The towels in the room are bath towels, face towels, and a towel in the middle for washing your body. There’s a sofa to relax on after leaving the bath. Maiko Event: In September, Hotel Trinity held a maiko event near the front desk every day except Sunday, starting at 4:50 PM. The maiko danced two songs, “Gion Kouta ♪ Darari no Obi no ♪ ,” followed by a photo opportunity with the maiko. The hairpins , obi, kimono, and obi-dome (sash clips) were all gorgeous. The breakfast buffet was held at Blue Books Cafe Kyoto on the first floor of the hotel. A large serving of homemade tofu. Tofu condiments and mugwort green maple fu. Kyoto-style pickles. Shibazuke ( pickled vegetables). Lightly pickled cucumber. Kyoto-style light daikon radish. Blanched green vegetables and kiriboshi daikon radish. Miso soup. A rice cooker was also served. Fruit, yogurt, cereal, shiratama dumplings, matcha warabi mochi, boiled azuki beans. That was the Japanese food table. This was Western food. Smoked chicken and quiche. Bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, cheese gratin, hash browns, fried autumn salmon. Various salads. Various breads . Drinks. Tea available too. Tsuji pear tea. Smoothies too. A delicious breakfast was ready. I served each bite. Breakfast was from 7am to 10am. I was the only other group to enter the restaurant at opening time. Thank you for your kind help with check-out . I left my room before 7am. After checking out at the front desk and having breakfast , I headed straight to my next accommodation, Hotel Resol Shijo Muromachi. That’s it. Please come and see me again. See you soon! Traveling Snow Leopard
