Since it seems like a unique shopping street, we’re going to take a walk and explore it. Those old signs are really unique. We’ve never seen a spot in Tokyo where you cross so many train tracks. It has a real local shopping street vibe. It’s a bit disappointing that it’s turned into just an ordinary street now. Heading for the next station. We’re back on the main street now. The road that runs along the railway tracks has disappeared again. Heading to the next station Shin-Koyasu Station. It’s hot again today, but the heat is tolerable, isn’t it? What’s that? There is a railroad crossing in front of the temple. Look right, look left, all clear, let’s go. This is the first time we’ve ever seen a railroad crossing right next to a temple sign. The kanji characters are too difficult to read. Heading to the next station. Probably Shin-Koyasu Station. Arrived at Keikyu Shin-Koyasu Station. Heading to the next station, Keikyu Koyasu Station. This must be Koyasu station. Waiting in the shade for a bit. Arrived at Koyasu Station. It’s incredibly old and has a great atmosphere. This alleyway has so much character. The sign says “Dead end ahead.” We wonder if anyone lives here. Heading to the next station. Only four more stations until Yokohama. Is that a station? But Google Maps is saying something different. That looks like a station. It’s definitely the station. They use a slightly different kind of gate here than at JR stations. It’s probably under renovation. Which way is the entrance? Arrived at Keikyu Kanagawa-Shimmachi Station. The next station Higashi-Kanagawa. It’s 2:30 PM now. The sun is starting to go down, so it’s easier to walk in the shade. It’s perfectly shaded. But it was hot until around noon. Higashi-Kanagawa Station must be close now, right？ Turn left here. We believe this is the station. Arrived at Higashi-Kanagawa Station. Going to the next station. This view is amazing! This is Yokohama! It feels like time has stopped here. The train is slowing down, so that’s clearly the station. It’s quite a windy day, though. Arrived at Keikyu Kanagawa Station. Heading toward the final station, Yokohama Station. The afternoon sun is intense. Yokohama Station should be close now, but we still can’t see it. [Arrived at Yokohama Station! Mesasge] Arrived at Yokohama Station. It was another hot day, but we successfully arrived at the final destination, Yokohama Station. Now we’re going to walk around a bit, find a place to eat, and then head home.
