Tokyo Station Area Guide: The underground mall around Tokyo Station is enormous. Ginza, Yurakucho, Marunouchi, Otemachi, and Yaesu are all connected, creating a maze-like experience. It also directly connects to the basement floors of large commercial facilities. Enjoy shopping and dining here. There are many hidden gems that are relatively quiet, making it a fun experience. Enjoy strolling through the underground mall while avoiding the rain, wind, and scorching sun. Today, I’ll be guiding you through the underground mall from the Ginza 4-Chome intersection to Yaesu. Here’s a map of the Tokyo Station area. Today’s route. Let’s begin. This is the Ginza 4-Chome intersection. Your current location: ↑ Entering the underground area. This is the Ginza Station ticket gate for the Ginza Line and Hibiya Line. On the left is the Ginza Station ticket gate for the Hibiya Line. Turn right here. This is the Ginza Station ticket gate for the Marunouchi Line and Hibiya Line. This is Marunouchi Line Ginza Station. Turn right here. This is the basement of “Yurakucho ITOCiA.” This is a commercial building with a movie theater, Marui, and more. This is the “Yurakucho Underground Plaza.” It’s a great place to meet up. Enter the “Tokyo Transportation Center.” There used to be a revolving observation restaurant on the top floor. There are also antenna shops from various regions. Go up the left here to JR Yurakucho Station. This is Yurakucho Line Yurakucho Station. Turn right here. Enter the “Tokyo International Forum.” Turn left here. This is the JR Keiyo Line Tokyo Station ticket gate. From here, you’ll enter the TOKIA basement. Its concept is gourmet food for adults. Enter “KITTE.” This is a six-story commercial facility. This is the “Tokyo Marunouchi Ramen Battleground.” There are six ramen shops. This is the Marunouchi area. There is a separate guide video for Marunouchi, so please see the link in the overview. JR Tokyo Station, Marunouchi Underground Central Exit. JR Tokyo Station, Marunouchi Underground North Exit. Turn right here. This is the underground passage connecting Marunouchi and Yaesu. This is the JR Tokyo Station Gransta underground north exit ticket gate (IC card only). Turn right here. This is the “Tokyo Character Street” area within “Tokyo Station Ichibangai.” There are approximately 30 character goods specialty stores from TV stations, anime, games, and more. Ahead of you is the JR Tokyo Station Yaesu Underground Central Exit. Turn left here. This is the “Daimaru” underground food section. This is a very popular department store basement. Go up the stairs ahead of you to reach the Yaesu Central Exit.
