【福岡屋台の伝説】常連で直ぐに満席になる『忠助』がエグすぎた…人情と酒が染みる夜!女性人気も高い屋台|japanese street food
Today’s Digest: Today I went to shoot photos at “Yatai Chusuke” in Tenjin, Fukuoka. This popular, long-established food stall has been in business for 60 years, specializing in hand-wrapped gyoza and Hakata ramen. First, let’s take a look at the assembly of the stall. I’ve heard that it weighs nearly a ton. Jeff from the neighboring food stall (El Bajon) helps with the setup. Assembling and tearing down the stall every day is quite hard work. Thank you, Jeff. The three of us expertly assemble and load the stall. The brazier uses propane gas. It’s gradually coming together, starting to look more like a house. The roof of the stall is finished. Menu: This street is a food stall district with six stalls. As we often hear in comments, the stalls are fully equipped with infrastructure like electricity and water. Food Stall Lanterns: The lanterns really enhance the food stall feel. A delicious oden pot filled with ramen soup is set out. Oden is an essential part of any food stall. We’ve got a lot of cold bottled beer in stock. The bottled beer is also ice-cold. Once the stall’s noren curtain is up, it instantly transforms into a food stall. The delicious oden is warm and ready to go. The hibachi is ready, and Chusuke has a TV. This long-established food stall has a great atmosphere. The stall opened around 6 p.m. Chusuke also offers draft beer. The first order seems to be a stir-fry. It’s got innards. It’s got chives. The delicious smell is already filling the air. As you’d expect, many people order alcohol at food stalls. You can enjoy a variety of dishes that go well with alcohol. Oden is also very popular. Tonpeiyaki oden is ¥200 ($1.29) per piece. Customer: Hot shochu and oolong tea . General: Hot shochu, sweet potato, barley, and rice. General: Hot shochu, sweet potato, yes. It’s getting a little chilly, so many people ordered oden that day. Tofu is ¥230 ($1.49). The oden here is a must-try. We received a large order of gyoza. Tadasuke’s teppan gyoza is also a specialty. They are handmade with plenty of oil . Hakata gyoza are small and have a wonderful crispy texture. Chef: We were fully booked with reservations, and a box of eight gyoza cost ¥530 ($3.42). It was full within 30 minutes of opening. Customer: Sorry, two pieces of chicken skin and two pieces of pork belly . Yakitori is also a popular item at the food stall. The proprietress, Junko, was also very nice. Many regulars come to enjoy conversation with the proprietress and the chef. Pork belly and chicken skin are popular skewers in Fukuoka. This is the tonkotsu ramen, a recommended ramen soup from Tadasuke. Customer: We also have hot sake and shochu. They warm it up in a kettle. There were many foreign customers. We received another order of gyoza. If you order three servings of gyoza, it’s a little cheaper. ¥1,500 ($9.69). The chef’s powerful cooking and stirring of the pot on this street lined with food stalls is impressive. Many people also ordered tonpeiyaki. Egg dishes at food stalls are also a staple. What’s next? It looks like it has noodles in it, so it might be yakisoba or yakiramen. Yakisoba or yakiramen? It was yakiramen. Price unknown. Looks delicious. Ramen is also popular. Many food stall ramens are light. I love simple, light food stall ramen. Pork kimchi ¥800 ($5.16), draft beer ¥700 ($4.52) , highball ¥650 ($4.19) , stir-fried offal ¥900 ($5.81) . The offal was plump and tender. Delicious tonpeiyaki ¥800 ($5.16) and delicious gyoza ¥530 ($3.42) that tastes just like a street food stall. Freshly cooked! Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. At street food stalls, the turnover is fast and the hot plate is always hot, so the skin is crispy and the meat is juicy and juicy on the inside. To finish off the meal, we had ramen ¥750 ($4.84) . This nostalgic flavor is irresistible. The char siu is also delicious. I highly recommend you all to try “Yatai Chusuke.” Thank you for the meal. Thank you very much for watching until the end.
