日帰りで神奈川最高峰を制覇!でも脚が死んだ…丹沢・蛭ヶ岳
[Music] There really are bears, lots of them. This was a nice hut. This was a nice hut. [Music] Are you at your limit? [Music] It’s delicious. [Music] It really hurts. Oh, wow, it really hurts. Are you okay? It looks like it’s going to clear up. [Music] [Music] Good morning. This is Yamanobori from Keri. Today’s video is about climbing Hirugatake, the highest peak in the Tanzawa Mountains and Kanagawa Prefecture. So, why is there narration today? Well, I checked the video I took and realized there was no audio at all. Well, there was audio halfway through, so when I say “halfway through,” it actually started near the summit. So, this time I’ll be broadcasting without audio until halfway through. I’ll be adding narration here and there. I hope you’ll watch until the end. So, I immediately realized I’d forgotten my watch at the start. It’s been a while since I last forgot something. Now , the route I’ll be climbing today is the Aone Route, aiming for the summit of Hirugatake. This is the shortest route to the summit of Hirugatake. It’s long, but it’s a route that I think will get me to the summit without too much difficulty . So, why did I park my car in the parking lot of the former Aone Elementary School just before this? Well, there’s a reason for that later. There’s construction going on . I parked in the parking lot just before this because I might not be able to get home. The construction is apparently going on until February 2026. So, if you’re coming, please be careful. I don’t think they’ll be doing the construction on weekends, but even when there isn’t construction, the road is narrow, so please be careful. The water was also really beautiful. I arrived at the gate. I’ve walked about 1.9 km to get there. There’s a parking lot next to the gate. It can actually fit about five cars. [Music] Yes, just like always. I want to show off these high-top rush socks, so I rolled up the cuffs a little. I love these wool gloves because they’re so warm. They work great as inner gloves in the dead of winter. [Music] It was a little chilly at first, so I put on a wind shell, but after walking a bit, it got too hot, so I took it off. It’s been a while since I’ve worn hoodie Wadi pants. They ‘re perfect for this time of year. The wind shell I always bring with me is convenient because it packs up. It’s already pretty cold in the mornings, but I think it’s best to start walking when it’s still a little chilly this time of year. [Music] Okay, so from here, we’ll pass the gate and head toward Hirugatake. Apparently, bears are around too . I’ll take off my gaiters, which I forgot to take off. It’s already hot. [Music] I’ve gone a little past the fork. On the way back, I’ll come back down from that fork. There’ll be another fork. It seems like it takes the same amount of time either way. I’ll follow Yamap and go this way. I’ve been walking for about an hour, but the paved road continues. So, I pass the gate here, and the paved road continues. [Music] It’s already November, so I ‘m sure the leeches we hate are gone by now. Good. I brought along my “Johnny Down the Hill” just in case. The paved road finally ends here. After about an hour and 12 minutes of walking, the paved road finally ends here . It’s been a long paved road. We were talking about how we’d like to ride it someday. [Music] [Music] Once we get past this point, it gets a little steeper. The autumn leaves were beautiful up above. The footing is a bit rough in places, and the dead leaves make it a little slippery. The autumn sky is spreading out, a common sight in Tanzawa. [Music] The autumn leaves around here are beautiful. A lot of them have already fallen, but they were still beautiful. [Music] [Music] Finally, the sun is starting to shine around here. Ah, when the sun comes out, it gets quite warm. Yes. Finally, the steep climb is over. There seemed to be a shelter just around the corner, so we thought we’d check it out, but it was kind of far down, so we decided against it . We found a nice bench/table, so we took a quick break. We had a Coke and a peanut pow bar. It’s delicious. Yeah. It’s the kind of flavor you crave in winter. What does it taste like? [Music] From where we rested, it was a gradual climb. After a while, we came across a boardwalk that looked like it was from Tanzawa , and as we walked, we could see Mt. Hirugatake in the distance, but it was already covered in fog . The autumn leaves on the surrounding mountains were incredibly beautiful. [Music] We arrived at the top of Hacchozaka. That’s the route we’re planning to take on our way back. And below, we found the usual Tanzawa specialty, melon bread. We just bought some and said it. The boardwalk just kept going from here. It was really easy to walk here. [Music] I didn’t know this, but this is the highest point of the Tokai Nature Trail. Yes. We’ve arrived at Himeji. There are three beautiful benches, and the summit of Hirugatake is still quite visible from this point. If it wasn’t foggy, you could even see Mt. Fuji. It’s a shame today. From here, we head back towards Hirugatake, but it ‘s a bit narrow. Only the entrance was narrow. From here, we start descending a bit . We’ve descended quite a bit. Along the way, we saw some beautiful autumn leaves. We found an open area . Now it’s time for rice balls. It’s a bit long, so I brought some rice balls as my trail snack. I chose rice because I thought it would give me energy. This rice ball is a limited edition only available at the 7-Eleven in Kanagawa. The filling is dried horse mackerel. It’s unusual, isn’t it? It was delicious. [Music] A slightly open area appears. This place is called Haragoya-daira, and it seems there used to be a hut here. [Music] After walking along a gentle mountain path for a while, you’ll come across this dragon-like tree. It’s apparently one of the highlights of this route, and it’s often featured on Yamap and other sites. It really does look like a dragon. From here, it’s gentle for a while, but the ups and downs continue. [Music] Okay. The ups and downs end here, and from here it’s just straight uphill. It ‘s long, from here. Yeah, really long, but halfway through, it opens up really, and the view is amazing. [Music] So, this is a little strange. Here, the sign says 0.4km. The next one is also 0.4km. And then again 0.4km. I’ve made no progress, but I ‘m not. And then, finally, here again, it’s 0.4km. I’m making progress. Why? These are the last set of stairs. This was long too. I really hate stairs. [Music] Okay. And from here, the audio starts. Aren’t we there? I can see the solar panels, a little. It was really long. It’s all white. But it’s all white. Lots of benches. We’ve arrived. Hirugatake. The highest peak in Tanzawa. We’ve arrived. 10:55. We’ve reached the summit of Hirugatake. The last set of stairs is long. Long. Seriously long. Yes. We were saying, “What kind of stupid ridge is this?” On the way up. We were saying that this one is really stupider. Right. It’s really stupid. That’s right over there. That place is really stupid. The climb up the stairs is seriously harder than Okura Ridge. It’s really well maintained. It’s easy to walk on though. All those stairs really did tire me out. Wow. So happy. So, I made it. The view. It’s all white . Can’t be helped. Yeah. It’s a mountain after all. That’s right. I’ve always wanted to come here. That’s right. I’m happy I made it. I’m glad I finally got my badge. I still don’t have it though. Oh, that’s right. And then there’s that. Mt. Omuro. I’ll go next time. Someday. Yes. So, there should be curry there, so I’ll go and have some. What if I don’t , it’s going to be tough. There’s probably one. Please. There’s probably one. This is the advanced trail, and if you’re coming from Nishitanzawa, this is the one. That trail is over there. I can’t see anything at all. I can’t see anything at all. Oh man. Okay, I’ll head towards the hut for now. There should be curry there. Oh, right. Right. Hirugatake Sanso. Wide, here we are. This is the direction coming from Mt. Tanzawa. The people who run Hilton and stuff. [Music] Oh , I think I can eat here. [Music] You can put as much fukujinzuke and pickled radish as you want. Let’s eat. Let ‘s eat. [Music] It’s so delicious. It has some richness. Yeah. Delicious. The combination with cola is great. I’m also having this bottle of water today. It’s been a while since I brought this bottle with me. It’s the best. So good. Delicious. [Music] Did it get crushed? It seems fine. Come on, just a little, just a little. I came out after eating curry and it cleared up a little. It’s so beautiful over there. Ah, gas, gas. It’s so sunny down below. Why? Oh, is it going to clear up? It looks like it’ll clear up. There’s a chance. Bye. See you later. That was a nice hut. That was a nice hut. Will the sun come out? Maybe. Oh, there’s the sun. Is it round, round? Lol, not that way. Over there. See, see. It’s really round, round. Ah, it’s sunny. It’s sunny. Look, look, look, look. Oh? What? What? Ah. What? It looked like it was going to be sunny. No, it looks like the sun might come out a little. It’s so cold . No way. Will it clear up on the way? Look, look, look. Wow, but it’s so thick. The book is messing around with me. Ah, it’s sunny. Down below. Look, look, look, look. It’s coming out, coming out, coming out. Oh, it’s out. Look, it’s out. Oh, amazing. Is it just for a moment? It’s out. Look, just for a moment. Thankful. Wow, just for a moment. The temperature is, right now, 9°C. There’s a bit of a chill with the wind, but it’s not that cold. Is it at its limit? What do you think? Ah, it’s warm. I’m waiting for it to clear up again. Ah, it’s really warm. Eh, the sun hasn’t come out yet? Look, it’s getting brighter again. Is that right? Huh? It’s not. Oh, it’s no good. It’s not coming out. I’ll just go home. I just saw it for a moment. And the curry was so delicious. It was covered in sauce like this. Yes, yes, yes, yes. It was spicy. Delicious. It warmed me up. Yes. I sweated a lot while eating it. That didn’t happen to me though. The hut keeper was also really kind. Right. He’s a kind person, yes. He called out to everyone. Yes. He told everyone to be careful on their way home. Yes. Yes. Well, it’s already cold and I don’t think it’s going to clear up, so yes. I think I’ll head down the mountain. Yes. It ‘s definitely not going to clear up. Sad. It’s definitely not going to clear up. I’ll say it. Yes. It was already so thick. A little sad. Why is it 10 now ? I don’t have a watch, it’s 11:35. I don’t have a watch. 11:35 okay. Then, well, I hope I can get down by around 2 or 3pm. Yes. So, along the way, I took a slightly different route than the one I took on the way there, and from the top of Hacchozaka it becomes a different route again, so I’ll go that far and then a little bit more from there, and I’ll post the footage once I’ve got it. Okay, I’ll be careful on the way back. It’s so cold. [Music] Now that I’ve passed Himeji, it’s time for dessert. I was really torn between a chocolate pie and a Snickers today. But I just got a silver filling, so I was a bit scared and went for a chocolate pie. Yup. Delicious. Was it angel pie? Ah, the marshmallow one. I prefer chocolate pie to angel pie. Oh, I see. I prefer angel pie. Marshmallows are like that. I love marshmallows. Which one are you guys? Yes, this is a fork in the road. Is it here? The head or the head of Hacchozaka? I can’t tell for a long time. I’m here. I came this way this morning, but I’ll come back this way on the way back. There’s a sign here. It’s towards Higashino bus stop and Aone. The route on this side takes just under an hour and a half and meets up with the route we took in the morning. A single autumn leaf like this is nice, isn’t it? I know. The area towards Hirugatake is so dark today. Well, you get days like that. It was good exercise, so it’s fine. Maybe next time. I want to go to the snowy mountains this month or next, so I guess it’s fine as a way to build up some stamina. Yeah. This route is a little narrower. It looks like there was some kind of accident just now. What happened? Eh? Hmm. Looking at it like that, it doesn’t seem like a big deal. But somehow. It looks a bit exaggerated. Did you just hit something there? On a branch of a tree? The branch was sticking out like this and I didn’t see it at all, yeah. I didn’t take a picture, yeah. I hit it with all my might. My clothes weren’t torn, but it hurts like this. Is it fair to say it was an exaggeration? yeah. I’ve never really felt anything. No, I’ve felt something. Have I? What is it? It’s like this. Yeah. It’s a funny bone. What the heck did you just do? Lol, like it’s come here. It was reverberating like I was wondering if the funny bone was even there, and it went numb all the way to the tips of my feet. Yeah. Yeah. So, right now? It really hurts. What, are you kidding me? It really hurts right now? Are you okay? It’s numb. What, are you okay? My funny bone, uh, feels like it’s really broken? No, it’s not broken. Ouch. It’s not broken. Wait a minute. Stop it. No, it hurts the most on the mountain. See, it’s swollen, isn’t it? Yeah. It definitely is swollen. Is it a bruise? In the video it just looks like a slight scrape, so it looks a bit exaggerated, but it really hurts. It’s dangerous, so I’m going to turn this (camera) off for now. Everyone, you’d better be careful here. Yeah, I get it. Yeah. Maybe? He’s demonstrating it with his own example. That’s right. Yes. Why. Does it still hurt? It hurts. I’ll show you when we get down the mountain. It really hurt. But it still hurts a little. So, is this route a little steep? Both are steep, but this one is steep too. There are rocks, and branches like before, so maybe it’s better to climb this way. I’m thinking that if I were to go around, that would be it, for now. That’s what I think. Wow, it’s slippery. It’s a mix of gravel and dead leaves. We’re following the rails all the way. Isn’t this really huge? And isn’t this one pretty new? There are bears, lots of them. I’ve seen a lot of them today. I really want to ride it. That monorail. I really want to ride it . Yeah. It’s nice. There’s a narrow path. On this route, [music] the bottom is coming into view. There’s construction going on. Looks like you can go either way. This is cedar. Oh, there it is. It’s coming up from here Looks like I missed this place. My nose is really itchy. Pollen? Probably. Cedar? Probably. Oh, definitely. I missed it this morning. Well, I wasn’t planning on going there. Here’s the fork in the road. No, it’s a little hard to find. There’s a sign, but you have to go in here, right? Right. Okay, the rest of the way is paved. Okay. Let’s take a look to see if there’s any construction going on from here. From here, it’s another 1.9km walk back to the parking lot. There’s no construction going on today. Maybe it’s just a coincidence. Maybe it’s just a coincidence . Yeah. Rather than taking a chance on this, I’d rather have peace of mind. Well, walking is a good thing. So, I’m back down the mountain. I arrived at the parking lot at 3:02 PM. It was a long walk, hut. So, it took me about 8 hours and 42 minutes to get back to the parking lot. Including breaks, I walked for about 8 hours. I probably spent about 40 minutes around the hut, so I skipped the hut. It’s been quite a while since I last walked a long distance today. I think it’s been a while since I walked more than 10km. Yeah. Yeah. And it feels like I walked. How was it today? I’m glad I was able to safely reach the summit of Hirugatake, which I’ve always wanted to climb. Yeah, it was great. As I was climbing, the autumn leaves on the surrounding mountains looked beautiful, so I was glad. Yeah. It was really beautiful. Although the surrounding mountains looked prettier than the one I was climbing. And there weren’t many climbers here, so I think you can enjoy a quiet hike. Yes. And in the end, there was no construction going on at the end. It’s a bit of a mystery. Yes. That’s true. But the descent felt a bit long. No, the descent was really long. The climb felt like it was over in an instant, but even though the descent was shorter, it felt really long. I wonder why. Maybe it’s because I achieved it after all. The way back always feels long. Yes. I had a pretty tough impression of Hirugatake, so I was prepared, but the boardwalk was well-maintained almost all the way to the summit, making it a fairly easy climb. Yes, it was easy to walk. Yeah. The last set of stairs was a bit tough for me. They were really long. And, since it’s autumn foliage season, the path was unclear in places, so be careful if you come here. There are also rocks and roots hidden in the dead leaves, so you might need to watch your step there. There were some steep slopes on both ends in places, so be careful when walking. That’s all for today’s video. Having said that, I haven’t checked the condition of my foot yet, just a little. It’s scary to look at. I’m scared of the condition of my foot. It’s still throbbing. I don’t know how it’s doing… but it doesn’t seem to be bleeding. If you enjoyed this video, please click the like button and subscribe to my channel. Thank you. Okay, see you in the next video. Bye-bye. I guess next time we’ll go to the winter mountains? Let’s take a look at my feet. I’m really curious about the state of my feet. No, it’s scary, scary, scary, scary. Oh, not at all! They’re swollen. They’re really swollen. This part is bad.
