【青森車中泊】薪ストーブ&火鉢のロマン。最高に贅沢な秘密基地Bug-truck雪中キャンプ。百沢温泉の裏のRVパークで雪化粧

Hi! I’m Ono in Aomori. Snow season has finally arrived in Aomori! Tonight, I’d like to sneak in another night of car camping. Today I’d like to introduce this. Previously, I made a Japanese brazier “hibachi” using scrap wood from the old house I was renovating myself. It was incredibly good. So this time, I asked my carpenter friend to make me a brazier using Aomori hiba wood. Here it is. Finally completed. A brazier made from Aomori hiba wood. I named it Hibachi. I had him make a drawer for me here. When this lid is opened like this, it becomes a table. It is designed specifically for portability. Even if it starts raining while in use, closing this lid seals out air, extinguishing the flame. After testing for carbon monoxide emissions and the lid’s heat resistance, it seemed safe, so I brought this along today. Let’s try using this in the vehicle today. However, unlike wood stoves, charcoal emits carbon monoxide. Using it in a confined vehicle is dangerous. Using this inside a vehicle poses a risk of carbon monoxide poisoning. Do not attempt this under any circumstances. Today, I want to carefully verify the carbon monoxide concentration using a carbon monoxide sensor while taking sufficient precautions. Hyakuzawa Onsen’s Original Beer “DOSAYUSA” “DOSAYUSA” is an Aomori dialect phrase meaning “Where are you going? To the hot springs!” Cheers! It tastes like a premium brand! It has a strong hop aroma and a robust flavor. A beer with very strong bitterness and refreshing qualities. Control the heat by arranging the charcoal. It’s a task that shares the same kind of enjoyment as a bonfire. Using charcoal for braziers produces absolutely no odor. It’s surprising that it doesn’t give off that barbecue-like smell. It is absolutely essential to be extremely careful about carbon monoxide emissions. Do not attempt this under any circumstances. Carbon monoxide is odorless and highly toxic. Poisoning causes loss of consciousness as if falling asleep. Adequate ventilation must be maintained even when used at home. However, I believe there is no need to be overly fearful. Using 3-4 pieces of charcoal while ventilating a typical indoor space is fine. When using bean charcoal heaters, I often notice how many people criticize them based solely on online knowledge without having any personal experience. This is a traditional Japanese tool that has been around for ages. Please use it correctly and with care. Today, let’s enjoy the brazier while properly monitoring it using two carbon monoxide sensors. Let’s start the party. This is the true pleasure of a brazier, distinct from a wood-burning stove. This is spicy cod roe. I’ll relax and enjoy waiting while eating the sushi I bought at the supermarket. What perfect planning on my part. Sake pairs perfectly with a brazier. Cheers! So tasty! This is precisely the kind of sake that should be served chilled. See, it says here that it’s best served chilled. I believe the ideal temperature for chilled sake is achieved by cooling it with snow like this. How about trying some cod roe? Isn’t it about time? This looks perfect. Delicious! Salt and pepper. Shiitake mushrooms look incredibly delicious! Wow! Delicious! I’ll probably finish all the shiitake mushrooms in no time. How about green onions? So sweet. Snowing outside. Wood-burning stove, brazier, and snowy landscape. And well-chilled sake. Today’s party is especially fun. This mesh might need some improvement. If the present situation goes on, I’ll end up eating a lot of ashes. Shiitake mushrooms are the most delicious. The underside of the lid uses calcium silicate material. Heat resistance up to 1000°C. It also serves as a fire extinguisher by blocking air. I think I’ll make some more improvements to the table section. Good night. Good morning. Not much snow accumulated. It’s a pleasant morning. Once charcoal is lit, it’s easy to relight. Let’s have something warm to drink before heading home. Of course, I must never be careless. However, leaving the door open resulted in lower carbon monoxide levels than anticipated. In spaces with plenty of oxygen, carbon monoxide levels probably won’t rise significantly. As oxygen is consumed, carbon monoxide levels may rise sharply. Ventilation is important not only to release carbon monoxide but also to supply the oxygen needed for combustion. Smaller tanks are more difficult to maintain water quality in than larger tanks when keeping medaka. Therefore, using a brazier in a confined vehicle interior is dangerous. Given that, wood stoves really are the best, aren’t they? Thank you for watching until the end.
