静岡旅行ガイド #3: かつての日本の将軍のように食べる!

Japan by Food and Shizuka return for Part 3 of their journey through Shizuoka Prefecture, one of the best day-trip destinations from Tokyo—renowned for its vibrant food culture, traditional cuisine, and unique regional specialties.

In this episode, Shizuka explores the prefectural capital, Shizuoka City, and visits the local French fusion restaurant Monsieur Moizumi. There, Chef Moizumi presents creative dishes inspired by the favorite foods of Tokugawa Ieyasu, the legendary historical figure and one of Japan’s “Great Unifiers,” blending history with modern gastronomy.

  1. That was interesting. I think Tokugawa Ieyasu was who Hiroyuki Sanada's character in Shogun was based on.

  2. Her warm respect for both gentlemen and her appreciation for the chef’s skill and life experience made this adventure even more enjoyable to watch.

  3. The tour guide came off as a prick. Who directed this episode? Are you guys hiring producers/directors? I’d love to apply

  4. You either have much better technique eating sashimi and (other episodes) ramen, or have many white tops. I tend drip so much I Must wear dark colors when eating traditional Japanese (or any Asian) cuisine. 🍜🍱🍣🍛

  5. Shizuka, i wonder. Is this your regular way of speaking japanese or are you trying to speak a little clearer and slower? As a learner it feels like that to me. Anyway, thanks for speaking clear and slow.

  7. Should have given you a proper steak knife for the waygu instead of the butter knife, but maybe they were just showing off about the tenderness.Anyway, a wonderful show. Thanks!
