昨夜は「東寺」で期間限定で開催されている幻想的な竹あかりの夜間ライトアップイベント「東寺月回廊」へ。そして本日は、「城南宮」の美しいしだれ梅から、蜷川実花さんが手がける現代アートとコラボレーションした特別イベント「KYOTO NIPPON FESTIVAL」が開催中の「北野天満宮」の梅苑まで、1日で一気に巡ってきました。

In this video, we are taking a special tour of Kyoto’s “plum blossoms” that announce the arrival of spring!
Last night, I visited the limited-time night illumination event “Toji Tsukikairo (Toji Japanese Garden Light-Up)” at Toji Temple, featuring magical bamboo lanterns. Today, I went to see the beautiful weeping plum blossoms at Jonangu Shrine, and then visited the plum garden at Kitano Tenmangu Shrine, which is currently hosting a special modern art collaboration event, “KYOTO NIPPON FESTIVAL” directed by Mika Ninagawa.
I’m excited to share these beautiful, early-blooming plum blossoms and the atmosphere of these special, limited-time events with you. I hope you can feel the spring breeze of Kyoto and the unique charm of each location! Please use it as a reference for your next stroll in Kyoto.
