Nagoya Night Walk: Sakae & Nishiki on the Last Friday of the Year
Happy New Year.
My second upload of the year is a walk through Sakae and Nishiki, one of the main entertainment districts in Nagoya City.
I had originally been thinking of heading toward the Tohoku region, but with all the recent news about bear sightings, I decided to change plans and travel west instead. The final destination of this journey is Okayama Prefecture.
From Okayama I passed through Hyogo, Osaka, Nara, and Mie, then made a slight detour by heading north into Gifu Prefecture, before finally arriving in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture. This walk around Sakae and Nishiki is the last shoot of this trip, and also my final recording of 2025.
Partway through, it started to rain, so I couldn’t cover all the streets I had planned to walk, and I wrapped up the shoot after about 30 minutes. Even so, it felt quite busy—probably because it was the last Friday of the year-end party season, with lots of people out enjoying the night.
