⁴ᴷ Fukushima: Aizu Wakamatsu Station (福島県: 会津若松駅) – Japan Walking Tour (November, 2024)
I’m heading toward the Sea of Japan side of the Tohoku region before the snow starts falling. Since I’m working as I travel, I’m making my way north little by little. I’ve now arrived in Aizuwakamatsu City, Fukushima Prefecture.
The temperature here is starting to feel like winter, as expected this far north. Around Aizuwakamatsu Station, there’s an arcade-style shopping street a bit further out and an entertainment district near the city hall. It seems like the city hall is being rebuilt. The historical charm of the old building will be gone once it’s replaced.
