The #Tokyo #Metro 2000 series (東京地下鉄2000系/東京メトロ2000系) is the successor to the venerable Tokyo Metro 02 series. Built by Nippon Sharyo (Batch 1) and Kinki Sharyo (Batch 2) and introduced in 2019 on the Marunouchi Line (丸ノ内線), it is fitted with the newer and quieter Toshiba SiC-MOSFET–VVVF traction control system using PMSM technology (same technology that was adopted on some of SMRT’s C151 trains).
