The long-awaited One Fukuoka Building has finally opened! ✨ I’m genuinely happy and proud for the people of Fukuoka. The building looked so stylish, yet it beautifully retained a Japanese essence, especially with the elegant wooden planks lining the ceiling. And the animal murals on the wall help soften the urban atmosphere. Contemporary, traditional and nature, such a wonderful combination design for this building! 👍
It was great to see the popular Hakata Issou opening a new branch there! And I was especially excited to see that Tsutaya Bookstore, which left a lasting impression on me at Fukuoka Airport, now has a new store in this location, such a convenient addition.

Two weeks ago, I could only catch a glimpse of its exterior, I was so close to being able to visit this new building myself. But perhaps it’s precisely because of regrets that hope exists. I’m determined to return to beautiful Fukuoka in the near future, to visit this building in person, along with other new and old projects!

We are planning to visit Fukuoka again this coming June 2025…hopefully the weather is not too hot or rainy…will include this OFB in our itinerary…

確かに外観、内装ともお洒落で圧倒される素晴らしいワンビルですね！大都会天神のランドマークになるのは間違いないけど高級すぎて以前のコアやイムズみたいに中高生ギャルが来るとこじゃないですね、旧イムズビルには中高生でも賑わうようなエリアを造って欲しいと思うのは僕だけかな？

平日だから少ないく感じるのかな？
元大名育ちで、もう離れて長いですが、、福岡天神って、人通り数が少ないんですよね。
もう大分増えたかな？と思ってましたが、どうですかね・・
例えば、大阪ミナミなど、実は外国人が居ないと、閑散となるんですよね。
古い施設がやっと立て替えられて、これから少しづつなのかもですね。
三ノ宮、河原町、と同じくらいかな。

てっきり今日行くのかと思っていました。
最初ワンビル出来る前は４階迄 店でその上はオフイスと聞いてたけど 蓋を開けた５階にレストラン で その上はカフェやコンビニが出来たので 最初の予定より魅力的だとおもいました
一部のお店を除けば、それほど混んでもなさそう。平日狙って行って見よう。
24日のグランドオープン日には「開業式典」で高島市長も祝辞を送られ新たなる門出に花を添えられました。
開店前からも長蛇の列だったようで、入館後も即行列となったお店もあったようです。
53:01の「クリスピー・クリーム・ドーナツ」は9年ぶりのお目見えということもあり長時間待ちの大人気。
8:24のもんじゃ焼き「たまとや」は九州初進出らしく人気店となりそうな予感がします。
13:04のアナログレコード専門店「FACE」は実にユニークでマニアックな店舗ですね。
「一周回って見直される価値観」というディープな世界へのニーズが根強く存在するということに感動！
59:06の「THE CONTINENTAL ROYAL&Goh」の初日もロイヤル時代からの旧知のファン方々が多く来店され大盛況だったとか。
「Royal＆Gohカレーランチ」はお薦めの逸品です。
49:26の「如水庵」には懐かしい思い出があります。
50年以上昔、旧福岡ビルの右横には「西鉄街」という小規模なアーケード街があり、そこで営業していたのが如水庵の別名義「五十二萬石」のお店でした。母に連れられて「高級最中」をたびたび購入していました。
ショーケース内に展示されているのは当時の木製看板ですね。
半世紀以上昔の「旧福岡ビル」時代の思い出話となります。
当時、２～３Fにはインテリアショップ「NIC」という有名店が存在していました。
同店は、西鉄（N）と岩田屋（I）のベンチャー企業として創業されまして、欧米のモダンデザインや日本のグッドデザイン等の「インテリア・デザイン」という概念は当時の消費者に新鮮な驚きで受け入れられました。
99年に惜しくも閉店となりましたが、当店の時代を先取りしたライフスタイルの提案や、全国のデザイン活動をリードした功績は今も伝説として語り継がれています。
当時、子供だった私にとっては同店のフロアは完全なる場違いな異世界だったのですが、高級品志向の私の母は「カリモクのチェアー」や「フリッツハンセンのソファー」などをよく同店で購入していました。当時も相当に高価でしたが。。。
その「NIC」に勤務された後に独立されて、世界的な陶芸家となられた「鹿児島 睦」さんがいらっしゃいます。
今回のワンビル館内のB2F～4階のエスカレーター横の壁面には、同氏の手がけた象嵌（ぞうがん）という手法によるタイルアートが描かれています。
10:25、26:38、48:22、49:03、の独特のタッチの味わい深い動物画の数々がそれですね。
エスカレーター乗降中は確実に目が釘付けとなるでしょうし、その芸術性の高さには敬服です。
旧福ビル（NIC）からの芸術的DNAがこうした形で現在もなお引き継がれていることには感無量ですね。。。
その他にも6Ｆ「スカイロビー」の41:06の「巨大クジラの立体アート」や42:06からの「動物立体アート」なども
当ビルの開発コンセプトである「創造交差点」（多様なものが交差することで新しいアイデアやカルチャーが生まれる場所へ）に則った作品の供覧であるようです。18F、19F の「ONE FUKUOKA HOTEL」でも別作品の鑑賞が可能なようです。
以上、またまた長々とした語りとなってしまい恐縮であります。
ふと、50年前の旧福ビル内のエレベーターの操作が脳裏をよぎりました。
行き先階の黒い丸型ボタンをカチッと押し込んで、その階に到着したらボン！と跳ね上がるのを見るのが子供心に毎回楽しみでした（笑）。
「昭和100年」のワンビルエレベーターはどれほどの進化をしているのでしょうね？
