【熊本】コスパ最強!熊本観光に超便利‼︎アクセス抜群‼︎星野リゾート OMO5熊本

Hello. This is Taka from Zipang55. I’m currently at Kumamoto Airport. This time we will be staying at OMO5 Kumamoto, which is convenient for sightseeing in Kumamoto city. I have introduced OMO several times in the past, but this time I will introduce OMO from Kumamoto, which is relatively new. I also participated in some free activities, so I hope I can share a lot with you. This channel mainly introduces hotels and tourist spots around the country. It will encourage me to make videos, so I would be happy if you could subscribe to the channel and give it a high rating. Now let me introduce it to you. OMO Kumamoto is about 40 minutes by car from Kumamoto Airport. It takes about 50 minutes by bus, and it is easily accessible as it is only a 1-minute walk from the Torimachi-suji bus stop. The location is in the center of the downtown area, and you can easily access Kumamoto Castle and Kamidori, which we introduced in Kumamoto’s sightseeing spots. OMO is numbered by series, and Kumamoto is number 5, so it is a facility with a cafe attached. Please try to judge the size of the hotel by the numbers. OMO Kumamoto came into view right next to the station. We operate on the upper floors of a complex building built on the site of Kumamoto Parco. There are commercial facilities and restaurants on the lower floors, so you won’t have to worry about eating out. It was crowded during check-in time. It seems that there are many tourists from Korea. Check-in will be smoother if you submit your QR code in advance. Once you have entered the required information and registered your card key, you are done. The style was to bring what you needed for the amenities yourself. There is a cafe and terrace next to the lobby that you can use freely. There are chairs and desks, so you can relax here. There is a water station where you can drink water for your room. There is also a washing machine and dryer, making it suitable for long-term stays. There are also free lockers of various sizes. It’s convenient to be able to leave your luggage before check-in and after check-out. The cafe carries a wide variety of products, from drinks to snacks. Cheesecake, smoothies and alcohol are also available. We also sell souvenirs such as Kumamoto specialties. Kumamoto is a thriving producer of rushes, which are the raw material for tatami mats. Art using rushes was also displayed. When you get close, you can smell the faint scent of rushes. There was also OMO’s famous neighborhood map. There are descriptions of nearby tourist spots and recommended gourmet food. You can also try looking for a place to have dinner here. There are many restaurants in Kumamoto city, so it can be difficult to decide where to go. Negibouzu, which was introduced in the Kumamoto sightseeing spots, and the bookstore that Natsume Soseki frequented were also introduced. There was even a Kumamon sign. You can overlook Kumamoto’s main street from the outside terrace. There were also lights made from tiles from Kumamoto Castle that had fallen during the Kumamoto earthquake. There are seats like sofa seats, so you can relax. And you can see Kumamoto Castle in the back. It’s wonderful because you can take your time to see the majestic Kumamoto Castle. It might be nice to relax here with a drink in hand. Now, I would like to introduce you to the room. Use the card key you registered earlier for the room key. The inside of the room is very nice and clean. As soon as you enter through the entrance, there is a hanger rack. There was also a sink nearby. There are cups and a kettle next to the sink. There was also a hair dryer downstairs. The toilet is also separate and clean. The bathroom is also quite clean, with a bathtub and washing area separated. There was also a standing mirror next to the washing area. The bed is a twin room and there is also a desk. It’s spacious and easy to work with. There was also a charging space next to it. There’s also an air purifier. The refrigerator is also quite large, so you can store chilled souvenirs. There was also a safe. There are also tissues and hand mirrors. The TV is also located in a position where it can be easily viewed from the bed, which is nice. There was also an outlet next to the bed. The windows have sunshades and curtains that you can adjust yourself. If you try hard enough, you can see Kumamoto Castle from the window. It hasn’t been long since it opened, so it’s all clean and stylish. For TV, you can choose between paid video services and Youtube, so you can watch it by signing up with your own account. There were many free activities organized in a booklet. We offer a variety of activities such as walking around the castle town, going to local bars, talking about Kumamoto Castle, and learning about Kumamon. Apparently there are events where Kumamon actually comes and you can talk to him. This is only available on specified days, so please check the website. Advance reservations are required for walking around the castle town, so please make reservations as soon as you have decided on your accommodation date. There are also explanations inside the facility, which are easy to understand. The accommodation fee this time was 5000 yen for 1 person staying overnight without meals. I stayed there on a public holiday the next day, but it was still cheap. You can usually stay for around 6,000 yen to 10,000 yen without meals. Considering the recent rise in accommodation prices, this is a very good price. Well, this time I have booked a walk around town, so I would like to participate. We will meet in front of the Neighborhood Map and have a staff member guide us around the city. We will introduce you to trivia and recommended shops in Kumamoto City. People who love new things are said to be “Wasamon” in the Kumamoto dialect. In a quiz format, the students talked about how Kumamoto’s streetcars were equipped with air conditioning for the first time, and about the first scramble crossing. I actually went inside the store and was introduced to what was inside. It seems that the first owner of the store installed it with the idea that the raincoat would draw in customers. The Haraku Manju, which was introduced in the Kumamoto sightseeing spot in the previous video, was also introduced here. He also introduced many other things, including stories about buildings that had previously been built and even the latest trending sweets, so I really enjoyed it. This building is said to be a repurposed old horse stable. On the way, we also received apple-flavored candy. Because underground water from Aso flows through Kumamoto City, clean water similar to mineral water flows from the taps. This spherical rock is easily rotated by springing underground water. It looks like an object that visualizes the flow of underground water. I was also given a map with the shops listed. It took about an hour and was a lot of fun. You will basically be walking without any breaks, so please be careful about that. The Kumamoto Neighborhood Bar will be held from 5pm. There are many bars in Kumamoto city, and we can introduce you to a bar that suits you. Although we only had one type of cocktail, we were also able to sample some cocktails. Just tell them what kind of cocktail or alcohol you’d like to drink, and they’ll show you the recommended bars. The chocolate and cocktail bar Septiglass, which I introduced during Kumamoto sightseeing, was also introduced here. Special toast sets were also sold at the cafe in the building at night. It might be a good idea to enjoy some relaxing time with gelato and alcohol. We also sell snacks, so don’t worry if you get hungry. Unlike during the day, the place was dimly lit and had a bar-like atmosphere. Free concerts are also held in the evenings. Depending on the day, you may be able to listen to a singing session. There were also jackets left so you could use the terrace during the colder months. The terrace seats are also lit up, creating a calm atmosphere. We could also see Kumamoto Castle lit up at night. If you are tired from sightseeing, you may want to relax at the hotel. Well, I would like to take a rest today. good morning. It’s a sunny and pleasant morning. There was a charge for breakfast, but drinks were also available. The breakfast also seems to have items made with local products from Kumamoto Prefecture. There was also a set menu for 1,250 yen that included salad, bread, and a drink. From 10am, you can listen to stories about Kumamoto Castle and Kiyomasa Kato, the man who built Kumamoto Castle. You can enjoy listening to stories about Kumamoto Castle while taking quizzes, so it’s sure to be fun for you and your kids. He also introduced spots where you can take beautiful photos of Kumamoto Castle. You will also receive a booklet summarizing them at the end, so if you have time, please participate. So, what did you think of “OMO5 Kumamoto” this time? It was easily accessible and there were plenty of free activities, so I was able to have a satisfying stay. Please consider staying overnight when sightseeing in Kumamoto city. I would be happy if this video could be of some use to you in your travels. It will encourage me to make videos, so please subscribe to the channel and give me a high rating. Thank you for watching until the end. See you again in the next video~Goodbye ~
