【栃木市観光】蔵の街・巴波川を満喫する1日旅｜遊覧船＆人気のカフェ
Good morning A crisp autumn morning in Tochigi City Traditional warehouses line the Uzuma River In 2009, Tochigi City received the Beautiful Cityscape Award The writing on the bridge reads “Uzuma River (うずまがわ)” The bridge is called Korai Bridge A perfect spot for a morning walk You might be lucky to walk alongside ducks The scenery looks like a painting The koi fish are swimming energetically The ducks and koi fish are so soothing The koi fish sparkle under the morning sun I also saw a white heron Lanterns are set along the Uzuma River from summer to early autumn This warehouse is open as Tsukada Museum of History and Legends Admission is 700 yen for adults and 350 yen for children I am excited to see many different robots The entrance to the warehouse looks like this The old lady robot plays the shamisen, and the old man is a doll The location was used in the drama Jin, and photos were displayed A family treasure of the Tsukada family A photo of the 110m-long stone wall completed in 1912 The most interesting part for me was the warehouse play The story was based on legends of the Uzuma River Watching a play inside a warehouse felt unique It was my first time seeing a robot play, and it was unlike anything I’d seen! There was also a display of traditional doll floats on the opposite side I was surprised when the float and Hyottoko started moving The Tsukada family was in the timber business, so timber was displayed on the walls There seems to be a villa further inside A doll of the seventh-generation owner greeted me at the villa I was free to explore the garden I could hear the sound of a suikinkutsu by putting my ear close I enjoyed learning about the history of Tochigi City There is also a legend called the Catfish’s Gratitude along the Uzuma River The Uzuma River feels special after hearing its legend The flowing river and willow leaves are very soothing I decided to take the town’s riverboat tour to experience more history Tickets are 1000 yen for adults, 700 yen for children, and 300 yen for dogs This is the boat tour ticket office There’s a spot where you can take photos sitting in the boat The ticket office has a charming, old-fashioned atmosphere You can borrow a traditional straw hat Now, let’s get on board I’m getting excited It’s a day pass, so you can ride as many times as you like The boatman gave us a history tour and even sang a song Please enjoy the boatman’s song at your leisure It feels like time is flowing slowly Korai Bridge is coming up We’re turning around under the bridge and heading back From the boat, we could see ducks and koi fish up close They looked like they were following the boat, which was adorable The view of the warehouse town from the boat feels even more charming I wonder if people 100 years ago saw the same scenery The ducks walking along the bank are adorable too The boatman said that the white herons are excellent at catching food Feeding them from the boat was thrilling, and they ate with great energy I wish I could swim as gracefully as that We’re almost back at the dock I felt refreshed by the sights of the warehouse town and the creatures of the Uzuma River The boatman’s song and historical guide were also very enjoyable Thank you very much, I’ll be back again There’s a delightful café near the Uzuma River It’s called HOULE COFFEE You can enjoy café lattes, coffee jelly, and more Their homemade ice cream is also delicious The pudding is outstanding too The pudding has a nice jiggle You can take it to go, perfect for a walk Stroll along the Uzuma River with coffee in hand Step by step, enjoying the walk The ducks are swimming by so comfortably It’s the perfect walking route In the evening, the streetlights come on When night falls, the lanterns light up too It feels even more like traveling back in time The autumn moon is beautiful as well A truly Japanese landscape unfolds around you Tochigi City’s calm atmosphere was incredibly relaxing I enjoyed the changing faces of the Uzuma River from morning to night
