静かな雨のフェリー旅。小豆島・こまめ食堂とエンジェルロードを巡る1日。

Going to Tonosho? Yes. A morning of light rain. We boarded a ferry and headed to Shodoshima, an island in the Seto Inland Sea. Enjoy the lunch that was a hot topic on social media. In the world of Kiki’s Delivery Service. A heart-shaped leaf that brings happiness. To the setting of “Twenty-four Eyes”. Angel Road at dusk. A day-long trip around Shodoshima. Roadside Station Genpei no Sato Mure: Mure-cho, Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture. We took a nap at this roadside station last night. When woke up in the morning, it was light rain outside. The window panes were covered with condensation. On a quiet rainy morning, the journey to Shodoshima slowly begins. In the light rain,we head to the ferry terminal. Tonosho? Yes. Good morning. I’ll get my ticket. Thank you. From Takamatsu to Tonosho, Shodoshima. It’s about an hour’s boat ride. We hope the weather will improve. Olive Shima-chan is so cute. We arrived in no time. The bus is olive-colored, too. It’s true. As soon as we arrived on the island, we went to a popular restaurant. We walked along the tranquil rice paddy path. A huge bamboo art piece. Nakayama Senmaida, one of the 100 best rice terraces in Japan. The Somen Set is the culmination of the craftsmanship of somen craftsman Hirai-san. Somen is a specialty of Shodoshima. I’ll get this set. Wow, what a huge rice ball. Let’s eat. There are noodles in the soup. It’s flat. It’s huge! I wonder if I can eat it whole. Delicious, hot. I like how each fish is different. I wonder what kind of fish this is? Let’s look for the olive leaf of happiness. It is said that if you find an olive leaf in the shape of a heart, you will be happy. If you find one, you can pick it and use it as a bookmark. This is a certified “chonmage olive”. There it is! There it is. It said that you can pick the heart, so can I pick it? Look, look! This must be a heart. I’ll make a bookmark and take it home. The cat is cute. So cute. It’s so pretty. So pretty. Sit up straighter. Are those stilts? Wouldn’t it be easier if they were lower? Can I do that? A flat surface would be better. What if you do it around there? I can’t. You’re kidding. What if you lean forward a little? Have you ever done that? I have. I used to be able to ride them. Amazing, amazing! Wouldn’t longer be better? You’re good at it! Apparently people used to play with wooden stilts. Wouldn’t longer be better? Just put your feet to the side. I used to be able to do that. How do I ride them? I have to lean forward a little. I’m sure I can do that. Maybe I can’t do this, either. The string isn’t long enough, is it? I need a string this long. Ah, I can do it. Isn’t this that one? A hula hoop? No, no. How do you do that? It ‘s the one from Barefoot Gen. How do you do that? I don’t know either . Put the stick in the groove here and walk. What will they do? I don’t know either. It’s something like this. They walk with it. Walk? They roll it. Isn’t that how it feels? Yeah, it’s surprisingly difficult. Should I do it with more force? Not at all. Maybe I should throw it farther? What? I don’t know, How do I do this? I don’t know either. The wooden school building built in 1902, the setting of the movie “Twenty-Four Eyes” . Desks and organs from that time are on display. It’s really beautiful. On to Angel Road. It’s not what I thought it would be. I totally agree. So this place will soon be gone. I wonder if it’s beautiful at sunset. You can only cross this road twice a day. It depends on the tides. It’s evening now, but it seems you can cross it until around 7 or 6 o’clock. Is this moss? Is it algae? Is it algae? Is it seaweed? These algae must be having a hard time. I’m sure they want water. There are no living creatures here. Won’t all living creatures run away at the same time? It would be a shame if they were too late to escape into the hollow and were making a “pichipichipichipichi” sound. There might be some who were too late to escape. I wonder if they sell these votive plaques over there? They’re written on shells. There are hearts and shells. Are they real shells? It’s time to go back, and we wait for the ferry at the port. We enjoyed Shodoshima for a full day. Thank you for watching our video until the end. Our journey is still continuing.
