Hello, I’m Chihiro. This time we will introduce the Gifu hotel “Dormy Inn Gifu Ekimae”. The hotel is located in Gifu City, Gifu Prefecture. 8 minutes walk from Gifu Station. From the second floor, you can go directly from the station without having to cross the pedestrian crossing. I chose this hotel because it was a good hotel within walking distance from the station. The entrance is also connected to the deck that connects from the ground level and the station. Then, let’s enter the hotel. Dormy Inn is a business hotel chain with nearly 100 locations nationwide. It is famous for its large public bath and late night ramen. Reception is on the 6th floor. First, check in at the reception. Coffee is available in the lobby. Amenities include toothbrushes, combs, razors, and cotton swabs. The lounge has manga and massage chairs. After checking in, go to the accommodation floor. There are a total of 149 rooms. Arrived at the room. The room we stayed in was a double room. This is a compact room of 14㎡. There is a double size bed. You can see the city of Gifu from the window. The mountains in the back are beautiful. The beds are made by Simmons and are very comfortable. There is a desk and TV in front of the bed. The wash basin is in the hallway. There is a shelf and a refrigerator under the sink. There’s yuzu financier and mineral water in the fridge. Inside the shelf are a mug and an electric kettle. There are coats and fabric spray in the closet. Next, go inside the door. There is a toilet inside. There is no bathtub, only a shower. The body soap is POLA. Shampoo and conditioner are also included. Clothes for indoor use are separate for top and bottom. The public bath has a natural hot spring and sauna. You can eat ice cream after taking a bath. Ramen for dinner is free. For breakfast, go to the restaurant on the lobby floor. It’s a buffet that combines Japanese and Western style. There are plenty of salads and vegetables. We have Gifu’s specialty grilled chicken and Hida beef croquettes. A pork stew made with Gifu’s Minoken pork. We also have Hida beef mixed rice. There are 3 types of bread. Desserts include fruits and cakes. In addition to soft drinks, coffee and tea are also available. Here is the breakfast I had! In addition to Hida beef rice, I’m glad they also have Nagoya’s specialty, kishimen. Another good thing about Dormy Inn is that you can eat local specialties. There are also plenty of rice options. For drinks, I chose oolong tea and green tea. After breakfast, leave the hotel! As the name suggests, Dormy Inn Gifu Ekimae is located in front of Gifu Station, and you can get on the train or bus right away, making it convenient for sightseeing and getting around. There is only a shower in the room, but it was nice to be able to take a bath in the hot springs. Also, for breakfast, we had a lot of Gifu specialties, and they were all delicious.
