ふらっと出かけた場所を紹介しようと思います。
2022年12月に京都府京都市にある「八坂神社」と「知恩院」に行きました。
・八坂神社
八坂神社は、全国にある八坂神社や素戔嗚尊を祭神とする約2300の神社の総本社。
厄払いや縁結び・美容などのご利益のある八坂神社は「祇園さん」と呼ばれ、各種お守りや油とり紙などが人気を博しています。
「祇園祭」が行われることでも有名で、京都観光の中心として広く親しまれています。
創祀は、諸説あるが社伝では斉明天皇2年（656）と伝えられ平安遷都がなされた延暦13年（794）以前よりこの地に祀られていたとされる。
参拝時間：24時間参拝可能
社務所の受付時間：午前9時～午後5時
ご祈祷の受付時間：午前9時～午後4時
・知恩院
浄土宗の総本山。建暦2年（1212）に法然が没し、弟子たちが廟堂を建てたのが起こり。
江戸時代には徳川家の菩提所となった。
三門楼上には釈迦如来を祀る。御影堂は間口44m、奥行34mの大伽藍で家光が再建。
除夜の鐘で有名な大鐘は重さ約70t。
法然の教えを受け継ぐ念仏の根本道場として広く信仰を集めている。
うぐいす張りの廊下をはじめ七不思議も見逃せない。
開閉門時間：午前5時から午後4時 拝観料：無料
庭園拝観時間：午前9時から午後4時

友禅苑：高校生以上300円、小中学生150円
方丈庭園：高校生以上400円、小中学生200円
共通券：高校生以上500円、小中学生250円

I would like to introduce some places I went to on a whim.
In December 2021, I went to Yasaka Shrine and Chion-in Temple in Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture.
・Yasaka Shrine
Yasaka Shrine is the head shrine of about 2,300 shrines across the country that worship Susanoo-no-Mikoto and Yasaka Shrines across the country.
Yasaka Shrine, which has benefits such as warding off evil spirits, finding love, and beauty, is called “Gion-san” and is popular for its various amulets and oil blotting papers.
It is also famous for the Gion Festival, and is widely loved as a central tourist destination in Kyoto.
There are various theories about the founding of the shrine, but according to the shrine’s tradition, it was in the second year of the reign of Empress Saimei (656), and it is said to have been enshrined here since before the 13th year of Enryaku (794), when the capital was moved to Heian.
Visiting hours: 24 hours a day
Shrine office hours: 9:00AM-5:00PM
Prayer hours: 9:00AM-4:00PM
・Chion-in Temple
The head temple of the Jodo sect. It was founded when Honen passed away in 1212 and his disciples built a temple.
During the Edo period, it became the Tokugawa family’s temple.
Shaka Nyorai is enshrined on the Sanmon tower. The Miedo Hall is a large temple building with a width of 44m and a depth of 34m, rebuilt by Iemitsu.
The large bell, famous for the New Year’s Eve bell, weighs about 70t.
It is widely worshipped as the fundamental training center for nembutsu, which inherits the teachings of Honen.
The Seven Wonders, including the halls covered in nightingale, are not to be missed.

Regular fee: All day (0:00-24:00) 30 minutes/300 yen
Maximum fee: [Mon-Fri] 12 hours from entry 1,500 yen (carryover applicable)
*No maximum fee on weekends, holidays, March 17th to April 18th, and January 1st to January 5th
