八丈島に竜宮城を訪ねる【自由ヶ丘遊園地】

(Note: Ryugu-jo Castle is a legendary Japanese castle that was said to be at the bottom of the sea) It was originally “Jiyugaoka Amusement Park,” where bull wrestling and other events were held Established by Kikuchi Tadashi, known as the “Mito Komon of Hachijo Island”
(Note: Mito Komon was a 17th century feudal lord who later became the protagonist of fiction and is known as a brilliant man who traveled around the country and solved various problems) There is Ojiyare Sushi, a banana farm, and a guesthouse “Ojare” means “Welcome” in the Hachijo dialect Kikuchi also served as a referee for bull sumo wrestling and was known as a famous person In this book, he is described as “a megalomaniac with a very good heart,” “the island’s greatest eccentric and famous person.” In the old days, there were famous old men like him in every region It seems to have closed by the end of the 1980s The guesthouse is still in business next door This structure was probably part of Jiyugaoka Amusement Park I wanted to see what bull sumo was like The bustle is gone, and only the wind is blowing through Thank you for watching.

自由ヶ丘遊園は八丈島にあった観光施設で、牛角力などが行われていました。島の名物爺さんが行司を務めていたとそうです。
閉業後に2階建てほどのコンクリート壁のみによる構造物が残され、珍スポット「竜宮城」として知られるようになりました。

外枠しか残ってないのか、それとも壁の、抜かれた所から牛角力を見下ろす形で観ていたのか。規模は違うでしょうが、スペインなんかの闘牛場みたいな場所だなと思いました。この場所で見たら牛角力、迫力すごかったろうな。
たしかにいましたね、地方の名物オヤジ😊。ご存知かと思いますが、地元青森県でも小田川城温泉、その当時は有名でしたね。
竜宮城といえば鉾田だったのですが、恐らくこれはother ruinsなんでしょうね。「自由ヶ丘」とか如何にも新興開発地で使用される名称ですが、そこかしこに垣間見える石垣などの景色から推察するに、どっかの島？
八丈島に闘牛なんかあったのですね。
