ゆっくりでしか見えない風景がある。
奈良・山の辺の道を、ただ歩いた日。
道を歩くと、
わたしのまなざしがほどけていく。
しんどさも、暑さも、
ふと現れる木陰や祈りの場に包まれて、
気づけば心がすこしやわらかくなっていた。
“まなざしの途”を歩いているのは、
たぶん足よりも、心なのかもしれない。
There are landscapes that can only be seen slowly.
The day I simply walked along the Yamanobe trail in Nara.
When I walk along the path,
My gaze is relaxed.
The hardship and the heat,
I was surrounded by the shade of trees and places of prayer,
I realised that my heart had softened a little.
Walking on the “path of the gaze”,
Perhaps it is more our hearts than our feet that are walking on the path of the gaze.
