Good morning! We are a newlywed, unemployed couple traveling around Japan on our honeymoon , eating all kinds of delicious food. So, today, take a look ! I bought some summer warm clothes for today, and where are we going today? It’s the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route. Did you know? The Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route is where you can see the spectacular views of Tateyama. Today is June 6th, and it’s currently 6:30 AM. We have to go see it this early in the morning! There’s a spectacular view called Yuki-no-Otani, which can only be seen from April to June. It’s a snow wall, you know! It’s a famous view, but it’s only visible until June, so since we’re in Toyama, we have no choice but to go see it. Have you noticed? It’s a rare time of year (usually off-season, so it’s rare! ) I’m currently at Tateyama Station, and I’ve booked a cable car ride for an hour later at 7:40 AM. I’ll be getting my tickets and getting ready by then, since we’ll be climbing. Let’s go! Climbing! 帰りました。 English: It feels like both are different , but it’s okay since it was a one-take shot and I’m sleepy, so I’m going to park the car and head towards Tateyama Station. Right now, this is the largest parking lot, but even if it’s full here, there are plenty of parking lots nearby. I’m here now and walking towards Tateyama Station, and we’ll talk as we walk. We’re coming from Tateyama Station now, but for those coming by car, there is a parking lot on the opposite side of Tateyama Station. For those coming from the Nagano side, there is also a parking lot at Ogizawa Station. For those coming by car to the Alpine Route, you will need to park in one of those parking lots. Since we are in Toyama, we will leave our car at Tateyama today and take the cable car from there . We bought tickets for the cable car from Tateyama Station. You can reserve in advance, but if you reserve on the day you will have to line up in the morning, so I recommend booking in advance online. We had booked in advance, so all we had to do was scan the QR code at the ticket machine to get our ticket and then line up. We were actually planning to go to Kurobe Dam, on the other side of Toyama.帰りました。 English : The prices have gone up a lot in the last few years, so if you go to Kurobe Dam , it will cost over 16,000 yen round trip per person, which is definitely out of reach for us on a budget. But if you go to Yuki-no-Otani, where we are going today, it will cost 7,000 yen round trip per person , which is almost half the price, so this time we will go to see Yuki-no-Otani. Kurobe Dam is not currently in the water release season, so we would like to come back sometime when it is. While we were talking, we arrived at Tateyama Station. First up is the cable car. We have to transfer, so we will take the cable car first. So let’s head up. Let’s go! Let’s go! So, we are at Tateyama Station. This is the fourth train since the first one of the day. This is the ticket machine. We already got our tickets, so take them with you. It says tickets should be issued 30 minutes before departure, so we arrived exactly 15 minutes early, which is great. There is a line up for the previous train, which opens in the morning , so we decided to sit down and wait. While I was eating clams… don’t we have to line up? Shall we go? I was eating some kahina udon when we were already in line. I was late, but I was acting like I had plenty of time, so there was a huge line in front of me. They started queuing about 10 minutes before. Let’s go in. 14,000 yen for two people… Savor the super luxury ticket. Now we’re entering. It’s an amazing cable car . It’s been a while since I took a cable car. Tateyama → Bijodaira . We arrived at Bijodaira station. It took just 7 minutes. From there, I’ll take the bus for 50 minutes and sleep. I woke up before 5am today and I’m sleepy. Maybe I should go to sleep. There’s a 7:50am bus, I can get on that. There’s an extra bus. Yes , when I looked at the timetable, I figured I’d wait about 40 minutes here, but there was an extra bus. Next, I got on the bus. Do you know? This is a place called Bijodaira. Does that mean it’s a beautiful woman? Thank you, what do you mean, thank you? I ‘m on the bus to my final destination, Murodo . It’s the last one where two people can sit side by side. I’ll take the bus for 50 minutes from here and go to sleep. Arriving at Bijodaira → Murodo. It’s cool , in fact it’s cold . First, I’ll go to the roof of the building! Wow , it’s amazing! It’s really amazing. I can see the view of Toyama. I’ve just left Murodo Terminal and am at the entrance to a famous pond called Mikurigaike . I just passed Yuki-no-Otani on the bus, but it seems there’s a place to walk later, so I’d like to go for a walk later. It ‘s still after hours, so until then, let’s take a walk around Mikurigaike. For now, let’s go to Mikurigaike. The view is amazing! It’s so breathtaking! Finally, the snowy road is here. To the snowy mountains in June. Seriously, be careful with your camera. The water in the pond is acidic, so no fish or other living creatures live there. Apparently the pond was formed when water collected in a hole made by an eruption. In summer, the pond melts again, the mountains turn green, and I’m sure you’ll be able to see a completely different, spectacular view. I went back to Murodo, and the Snow Valley Walk starts at 9:30, so it wasn’t open when I arrived, but it’s open now, so I want to go see Snow Valley from here. It was so sunny just a while ago, but the moment we got to the snowy hill, it became cloudy. It’s so cloudy , you can’t see the blue sky. This is Snow Otani. The bus was high, so it didn’t look very high, but when we got off, it was so high . Isn’t it amazing that it’s piled up like this? It’s amazing that it ‘s piled up like this. We didn’t grow up in a snowy country, so it’s hard to believe. Even if it does pile up, it only gets up to about ankle height, and even then, it seems to happen once every two years. Snow Otani Q&A: What is that wooden stick sticking out of the snow wall? It’s a marker that was installed last fall to indicate the location of the road. In the middle of winter, the road There are poles set up so you can’t tell where the path is. Now we’ve come. This is the highest point of Snow Otani. It’s so high! It might be the best view of my life. An unforgettable view. Everything was beautiful in 360 degrees, I never got bored of looking at it. That space made me so happy.
