岡山に出張で訪れた際、ちょっと気になっていた「ホテルアベストグランデ岡山」のキャビンスタイルに泊まってみました。岡山駅から徒歩3分、アクセスは抜群。普通のカプセルホテルとはひと味違う“キャビンタイプ”ということで、どんな感じかワクワクしながらチェックインしました。
キャビンスタイルってどんな感じ？
キャビンというと、いわゆるカプセルホテルをイメージする方が多いと思いますが、ここは一歩上をいく感じ。
木目調の落ち着いたデザインで、プライベート空間もちゃんと確保されています。カプセルにありがちな“圧迫感”が少なく、天井も少し高め。寝るだけじゃなく、ゆっくりリラックスできました。
各キャビンには電源コンセントや照明が付いていて、スマホの充電やちょっとした読書も快適。貴重品はダイヤルロック式ロッカーに預けられるので安心です。
大浴場＆サウナでリフレッシュ
キャビンスタイルに泊まる最大の魅力は、やっぱり「なごみの湯」。駅前ホテルでこの規模の大浴場があるのは本当にありがたいです。広いお風呂に浸かり、サウナで汗を流した後は一気に疲れが取れました。

During a business trip to Okayama, I stayed at the “Cabin Style” of Hotel Abest Grande Okayama, a place I had been curious about for a while. Just a 3-minute walk from Okayama Station, the location is unbeatable. Unlike an ordinary capsule hotel, this “cabin type” felt different, and I was excited to check in.
What is the Cabin Style Like?
When you hear “cabin,” you might imagine a typical capsule hotel. But this was a step above.
With warm wooden tones and a calm design, each space had a sense of privacy. Unlike many capsules, it didn’t feel cramped—the ceiling was higher, giving a comfortable atmosphere. It wasn’t just a place to sleep; I could truly relax.
Each cabin came with power outlets and lighting, so charging my phone or reading a book was convenient. Valuables could be stored securely in a dial-lock locker, which gave me peace of mind.
Refreshing in the Large Bath & Sauna
The biggest attraction of staying in the cabin style is definitely the large bath, Nagomi-no-Yu. Having a spacious bathhouse of this size right by the station was such a luxury. After soaking in the hot bath and sweating it out in the sauna, all my fatigue melted away.
Many capsule-type hotels only offer showers, but here it felt more like staying at a hot spring inn.

選擇艙式住宿的最大魅力，就是飯店內的大浴場「なごみの湯」。能在車站前享受到如此規模的浴場，實在難得。泡在寬敞的浴池裡，再到桑拿流一身汗，一天的疲勞全都消散。
許多膠囊旅館只提供淋浴，而這裡更像是入住了一家溫泉旅館。
