福岡旅行 グルメ 天神・博多観光 おすすめレストラン紹介part2 天神南駅周辺・太宰府エリア編
Hello, this is Part 2 of the Fukuoka series. Following on from Part 1, I will be introducing the area south of Tenjin, the center of Fukuoka city , the area around Tenjin Minami Station on the subway, and Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine . The area I will be introducing this time includes the restaurant I most highly recommend for this trip to Fukuoka, so please stick with me until the end. Part 2 The first restaurant I chose is Calvo, which I chose because Fukuoka has a strong image of having many delicious Japanese restaurants , but I later found out that they also have restaurants in Tokyo, Shibuya, and Gakugei University, and I regret my choice a little… The location is here . It’s a 6-minute walk away and has good reviews. It’s listed as an Italian/Spanish restaurant, so as a Spanish lover, I thought it was a must-visit. This is the white sangria. What I had here was fried bamboo shoots wrapped in prosciutto. The restaurant’s signature dish is crispy fried fresh fish (with mushroom sauce). It has a strong visual impact . The crispy texture is great, and the sauce is delicious. However, if possible, I would like it to have a little more impact. Since the visual impact is strong, I would be happier if the taste had an equally strong impact. The cavatelli with shirasu and shiso leaves also has a consistent taste , but I would like to have one more. I guess that’s okay… it’s tough to compete in such a competitive area. The next restaurant is Torikawayaki restaurant “Sumi”, which is my personal number one among the restaurants I’m introducing this time. It’s a very different image to the traditional image of a yakitori restaurant , with a clean and sleek design. It’s located here , about a 15-minute walk from Tenjin Minami Station on the subway , and has received high praise. To be honest, I often get takeout yakitori from my local yakitori restaurant , and I only go to proper yakitori restaurants once or twice a year, so I don’t eat at many yakitori restaurants to compare their tastes , but the saltiness of the yakitori here is just right, and it’s really, really delicious. It ‘s the best yakitori restaurant I’ve ever been to in my life. It’s an incredibly delicious yakitori restaurant. I was talking to the guy who works at the yakitori restaurant and seemed to be the owner , and it turned out he’d been to all the delicious yakitori restaurants in the country, and he even knew about a famous restaurant in a residential area near where I live that ‘s only known to those in the know . He’s a very dedicated researcher, and the yakitori toppings are neatly arranged in the display case, and the way he grills the yakitori is so quick and quick it’s like watching an attraction and it’s captivating. Also, the technique he uses to create the perfect flavor of yakitori isn’t to look good, but rather he tried out various techniques and arrived at this one . What do you think? 食べましたか、おいしいものが美味しかった。 焼き鳥ってやっぱり美味しいね。 English : I will definitely go back again The salt is sprinkled evenly It ‘s amazing And even though this is a yakitori restaurant, they also recommend the sesame mackerel, so as a sesame mackerel lover, it’s a must-try It’s so beautiful At this point , I was already on my second beer… Here it is , grilled chicken skin The browning is exquisite I could eat as many as I wanted And the yakitori with the perfect salting are truly superb Actually , I had planned to go to one more store plus a donut store after this, so if I had known from the beginning how delicious it was , I would have finished the day by eating everything at this store alone I will definitely visit again That “exquisite salting and amazing technique of evenly salting” If there was a “world championship” then they would undoubtedly be the world champion (well, such a championship is unlikely to exist) (but I wish there was one…) Oh, this is a rare “squid beak” It has a crunchy texture and is an addictive dish for those who value texture Even the meatballs eaten with “sauce” are not inferior to “salty” yakitori What do you think of this “gloss”? Finally, chicken soup was served, just like at a mizutaki restaurant. It was a perfect lineup (sorry for the imperfect photography skills…). It satisfied my eyes, tongue, and story. It was truly delicious. I highly recommend it. ” Please try it.” I stopped by on my way back from the yakitori restaurant. In Tokyo, the lines are so long, I don’t feel like waiting. “I’m donut?” I went to Dako Fukuoka, a sister store of “Dako Fukuoka .” It’s an 8-minute walk from Tenjin-minami Station on the subway. The reviews are a little lower than those of the Tokyo stores. I mainly bought donuts, which I’ve heard are popular (sorry for the close-up shot…). Donuts tend to have a boom every few years , but I usually go to buy them after the boom has passed, so this time it was still a little early… It’s new, and being able to buy delicious donuts without the huge lines you see in Tokyo is a great value. Give it a try if you’re interested. There’s also a dining area inside the store . Next up is Taihou Ramen, originating in Kurume, Fukuoka. It’s located here, a 3-minute walk from Tenjin-minami Station on the subway. The reviews are about right. A coworker from Kurume suggested I try this place, and it has a richer flavor than Hakata ramen. First of all, I was disappointed with the bite-sized gyoza in Part 1, so this is a win-win. And now, here comes Taihou Ramen. As expected, it had a richer flavor and aroma than Hakata ramen… It’s a restaurant that carries the name “Birthplace of Tonkotsu Ramen” and it’s delicious, but I still prefer Ichiran. It really shows how well Ichiran does things and I’m a big fan of Ichiran. Sorry, junior. Next up is the incredibly popular “Uo to Sakana Itokashi.” It also has a sister restaurant in Ropponmatsu. It’s located here, a 6-minute walk from Tenjin Minami Station on the subway, and has received positive reviews. It was also selected as one of Gurunavi’s 2024 Top 100 Restaurants. While it’s difficult to get in at night without a reservation , they open from 7am without a reservation, so I came for breakfast. “It’s outrageous that they have such an attractive flyer out so early in the morning,” I thought. “I ‘ll drink it all up and do it!” So, I ordered a delicious, bitter craft beer. Here it is , the “Itokashi Gozen” (3,000 yen), which was listed first on the menu. This is the first tier of a two-tiered box , and this is the second tier. They know how to make things look delicious… It was worth getting up early this morning. This is the “Hakata Sesame Mackerel Set Meal” (2,300 yen). The dish also brings out the flavor of the mackerel. However, the appearance of a menu item with the same name varies greatly depending on the restaurant, which is a testament to the ingenuity of each restaurant. This is the “Sashimi Set Meal” (2,200 yen). It makes you want to have a second beer this morning, as you’d expect from a popular restaurant, and I’m very satisfied. Please try it if you have the time. Speaking of Fukuoka, you can’t miss out on mizutaki, right? I’d like to go to both the long-established and the new restaurants, but as a tourist with limited time, it’s difficult to do both , so this time I chose the new popular restaurant, Torichiyo. The location is a 10-minute walk from Tenjin Minami Station on the subway, and about a 6-minute walk from “Itokashi” mentioned earlier. If you’re in this area, you can use “Watanabedori Station” here, or take the bus to the nearby bus stop. The restaurant has an extremely high rating . The restaurant seats about 20 customers, and is just the right size for the staff to keep an eye on you. Anyway, first of all, beer. This is the appetizer, not “sesame mackerel” but “chicken sesame”. Why is “sesame miso” so delicious? It’s packed with sesame seeds and a huge intake of “sesame lignans. ” The appetizer is a surprise right from the start . Now, the main attraction is here . It’s full of collagen and gives you “hope” for aging skin. Here, we are fully prepared to enjoy the best part of mizutaki , the “first bowl of soup.” The “first bowl of soup made with all our heart” has been poured. It is the best part of mizutaki. It is no exaggeration to say that people come to eat “mizutaki” to drink this. The meat has been cooked and is already tender. Next, the “tsukune” is carefully placed in the pot with excellent “handiwork.” The fried chicken wings also arrive. The “tsukune” is not inferior to those in Nagoya. The “tsukune” is cooked well and has a great flavor. Vegetables and tofu have also been added . The soup must be “amazing.” It seems It seems like the time is right, and I can’t wait for the food to be served. It’s here, the ingredients are infused with flavor and have a “slight” nice color. The umami has permeated all the ingredients and I can’t stop eating. This restaurant also pours in a “second dashi” that has been infused with various flavors . The chicken flavor is infused with the sweetness of the vegetables, making it richer, but still gentle. And to finish, of course, we have rice porridge, which is also like an “oyakodon” in a sense. Actually, we could have chosen “plain noodles” for the final dish , and we ordered that too, but it was made so quickly that we forgot to take a video… But of course it was delicious . And here is the finished rice porridge. It ‘s the culmination of today’s meal. The flavor of the ingredients is concentrated, making it like a “model rice porridge”. At first, I was thinking about going to the long-established “Iroha”, but I was satisfied with the good points of this new restaurant. I was very satisfied with the meal. The total cost was 12,000 yen . Thank you, Torichiyo . Next up is not a restaurant, but a popular mentaiko shop called Haraguchi Shoten, which has been featured in the media a lot recently. It’s located inside the Yanagibashi Rengo Market , and its appearance is irresistible for those born in the Showa era. It’s located here: a 13-minute walk from Tenjin Minami Station on the subway. Like Torichiyo, it’s a 7-minute walk from Watanabedori Station on the subway , so this is closer. You can also come by bus, and it has extremely high reviews. Since it’s inside the market, it’s closed on Sundays, but on other days it’s open from 8am. There are many different types of mentaiko lined up like this . In fact, it seems that they had been featured on TBS’s “Sekakuna Gourmet” the day before. Luckily, it was before the broadcast. If it had been after the broadcast, I wouldn’t have been able to buy what I wanted. So , what I bought this time from Haraguchi Shoten was this “Yuzu Squid Mentaiko” and this Mentaiko with Dried Chirimen Sansho Pepper . Since I like “Squid Mentaiko,” I tried comparing them to my favorite, “Wakakae” Squid Mentaiko. First of all, this “Wakakae” Squid Mentaiko is definitely recommended for those who like the “crunchy” texture of squid. The balance of squid and mentaiko is also perfect. On the other hand, this Yuzu Squid Mentaiko from Haraguchi Shoten is not inferior with a strong yuzu flavor. However, as you can see from the photo, Wakakae has more mentaiko and the texture of the squid is softer at Haraguchi Shoten, so when you consider the overwhelming difference in the texture of the squid, Wakakae wins when it comes to squid mentaiko. However, this Mentaiko with Dried Chirimen Sansho Pepper has a generous amount of mentaiko and is delicious, so I recommend it. Also, this is “Cold Mackerel Mentaiko.” This was featured on “Sekakuna Gourmet,” so I’m glad I was able to buy it before the show aired. This one also has just the right balance of mentaiko, making it a great side dish that pairs well with both sake and rice. If you’d like, try comparing different varieties of mentaiko . Note that Haraguchi Shoten products are only available here; they’re not sold at airports or department stores, so just to be safe… The next restaurant is recommended by the manager of Haraguchi Shoten, who I just mentioned, as a breakfast spot , so I changed my original plan and went there instead. It appears to be a restaurant inside the F Concept Hotel . It’s located right next to Haraguchi Shoten. The reviews are high, but I’m not sure if that’s for the hotel or the restaurant … However, the reviews for the food are all positive . I went during breakfast time, and there was only one other customer there. They have a wide selection of sake, so this is a must-try for sake lovers. They have a wide selection of sake, mainly from Western Japan, but as you’d expect, the majority are from Fukuoka . Since I tend to get drunk on sake, I don’t drink it that often , so even looking at the brands, I don’t really know what they’re all about, so I decided to go with beer, “Asa” Ichiban Shibori. It sounds like the name of a milk product… So, this is a “botan shrimp” sashimi set meal. It’s piled high with “botan shrimp” and should satisfy most shrimp lovers. Thank you to the manager of Haraguchi Shoten for introducing me to this great restaurant. And here, as I wanted to compare the food from various restaurants, I chose the sesame mackerel set meal (which also comes with fried horse mackerel). The sesame mackerel from each restaurant is always a hit. Each restaurant has its own unique character, so you never get bored. The fried horse mackerel is also thick, so it’s a very satisfying morning meal. Please try it if you have time. By the way, this is “Shokudo Hikari” which is located in the same market and which I had originally planned to go to. There was a huge queue before it even opened, which was amazing , but most of the people there were Asian foreigners… Just for reference… Next, I’ll be going to Tokyo. Amamu Da Kotan is a popular bakery that also has a branch in Omotesando. It ‘s located in the Ropponmatsu area, so it takes about 20 minutes by bus or subway from the Tenjin area. It’s not that highly rated. I originally planned to have breakfast in the shop, but I didn’t realize they’d moved to a nearby location, and the eat -in space was gone. Instead, I bought the bread I wanted and ate it a short walk away in Ohori Park . All the breads are small and stylish, and there are so many varieties it’s hard to choose… I bought seven kinds in total . Since it’s a breakfast alternative, there are a lot of prepared foods . The Omotesando store has a long queue, so I don’t feel like waiting, but maybe because I was there early in the morning, I was able to buy the donuts right away . Like Tsuya, I think the bread is delicious, but I don’t feel like I want to line up to buy it, so I recommend this shop to people like that. At the end of Part 2, as a Fukuoka native, I feel that if I don’t visit a shrine when I come to Fukuoka, I’ll be punished, so I headed to Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine. It’s about 40 minutes from Nishitetsu Tenjin Station to Futsukaichi Station, and it’s a nice, quaint place that really gets you in the mood . Ramen Ichiran also has a store there, and you can eat ramen in a pentagonal bowl for good luck in passing exams . Starbucks is also in Dazaifu style, and this is apparently designed by Kengo Kuma. I’m not following Kengo Kuma in Spain or Australia, but I was lucky to come across his work. As I walked through the picturesque approach to the shrine, I came across the sacred cow of Dazaifu. There are 11 of them in total , and if you stroke their heads, they will bestow you with wisdom. Although it’s a little late now, I was able to stroke them quite a few times, including the horns. These kinds of stairs also lift your spirits. It’s a beautiful sight. When you come during the plum blossom season, this area is in full bloom and beautiful. There is a corridor of wind chimes like this, so you can cool off during the hot day. In fact, Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine is currently in the middle of major renovation work on the main hall for the first time in 124 years, which will continue until 2026. Before leaving, when I saw a video of the temporary hall, I was so impressed by how different it was from the previous main hall that I thought I might give up going , but when I saw it in person, it was so magnificent that it was hard to believe it was a temporary hall, and a building that was comparable to the main hall was amazing. This temporary hall is on the roof. There are some pretty big trees planted on top, which is quite majestic… I think it’s better to see it in person than on video. There’s a “forest” on the roof. This is the real “Mori Building.” After praying, we enjoyed some food in Dazaifu, comparing umegae mochi at three different shops . The first is Amagiya, one of the popular shops. The sweet bean paste here is perfectly balanced and delicious . The second is Nakamuraya. I always buy the mochi from this shop. Whenever I visit my parents’ house, I always buy about 20 as souvenirs (for personal use). The skin of this shop’s mochi is crispy, so it’s best to eat it right away. If there was a combination of this mochi’s skin and the sweet bean paste from Amagiya, it would be the best… The third shop was Ono Chikushido. Unfortunately, this shop stopped selling Umegae Mochi in July, so you can no longer eat it, but it was a delicious shop with a gentle sweetness. There are more than 10 shops along the approach to the shrine , so please try them all and compare them. This concludes Part 2. In the next Part 3, we will mainly introduce shops around Hakata Station and Kushida Shrine. Please be sure to check back next time. Thank you for reading to the end this time .
