Popularly known as Linimo, the Aichi Rapid Transit in Nagoya is the only magnetic levitation train line operating in Japan at time of filming.

The maglev trainsets were built by Nippon Sharyo and won the 2005 Good Design Award and the 2006 Laurel Peize. They were fitted with Toyo Denki IGBT-VVVF traction control, except for trainset 09 which was retrofitted with Toyo Denki SiC-VVVF traction control.
