Hotel Resol Trinity Hakata & Fukuoka Cuisine: Hello! This is Hozuki. This travelogue is about a 4-night, 5-day trip to Fukuoka and Kumamoto (plus Oita)! This time, I’ll be introducing Hotel Resol Trinity Hakata in Fukuoka City for the second night (I stayed at a different hotel the first night). For the third night, I stayed at Senomoto Kogen Hotel in Kurokawa Onsen. *For the fourth night, I also stayed at Yukyo no Hibiki Yusai, also in Kurokawa Onsen! I’d also like to share some of Fukuoka’s fascinating cuisine! Hotel Resol Trinity Hakata, located in Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture, is super convenient, just a one-minute walk from Nakasu-Kawabata Station on the Subway Airport Line! It’s only 13 minutes from the airport! Located in Nakasu, Fukuoka’s downtown area, this inn is conveniently close to the station! As a high-rise hotel, the views are amazing and the rooms are clean! Nakasu is also full of delicious restaurants nearby! We enjoyed motsunabe (motsunabe), mizutaki (chicken stew), and delicious seafood! After enjoying all that delicious food, it’s nice to have a large public bath at the inn! The breakfast was wonderful, featuring delicious Kyushu cuisine! Even though it was the Obon period, the price was just over 9,000 yen per person! (Depending on the date, you can stay for just over 6,000 yen.) This time, I hope to share the charms of Hotel Resol Trinity Hakata and Fukuoka Prefecture. Thank you for your continued support! This time, I flew from Itami Airport! After a swaying monorail, I arrived at Itami Airport! This time, I had light takoyaki, rice balls, and sandwiches. For some reason, when I travel, I really crave takoyaki! This time, I flew to Hakata on a propeller plane! Well, off I go! Propeller planes really give you that “I’m flying!” feeling! We arrived in Fukuoka in 1 hour and 15 minutes! It’s close! I took the subway from Fukuoka Airport Station to Nakasu-Kawabata Station! We arrived in 9 minutes! For my first night, I stayed at the S-Peria Hotel near Nakasu-Kawabata Station! After checking in and taking a short rest… dinner was offal hotpot! I went to the famous restaurant, Motsuo. This restaurant has a rating of 4.9 on Google Maps! The motsunabe comes in soy sauce and miso. I have to choose the final dish carefully… The snacks look delicious too! I think I’ll have a highball today! The appetizer is squid mentaiko. Okay… Cheers ! Ah, a highball in this heat is the best! (Temperature 35°C) This squid mentaiko is already so delicious! A pickled cucumber and a vegetable first! This kind of thing is so good. The amount of domestic pork stomach vinegared offal is amazing! And it goes well with yuzu pepper! I saw the sardine mentaiko on TV and wanted to try it! The sardines and popping crust are irresistible! Hakata motsunabe (miso) The offal is super juicy and bursting with flavor! It was so delicious that this was the only video I took, haha. So, to finish off the meal! I tried the curry risotto (¥580)! They make it for me, and it smelled and looked amazing! It was a little too good! It was the best motsunabe ever! And then we went to the second place! (Why does that happen?) After motsunabe, you want a light drink, right?! That said, we focused on vegetables, and the meatballs and chicken skin here were delicious! The two of us continued drinking in the room, lol. We toasted with a rather unusual highball, had apple pie, and crepes! Delicious. We ate too much, so we reset our visceral fat… and that’s how our first day ended! We’ll continue enjoying Fukuoka tomorrow! Good night! We checked out of our hotel for the first night and headed straight for lunch! lol. Hakata Robata Uotoko, which has been incredibly popular even before it opened! The interior is also very nice! Apparently their fish set meal is amazing! So… toast ! Ah, having beer in the afternoon is so exciting… And we’re also happy that we both love Akaboshi! Uotoko Don (Fishman Don) – what a beautiful bowl… six pieces in total, including fresh yellowtail and salmon! Wow! It also comes with small side dishes like vegetables and dessert! You can choose between Uotoko’s special savory soy sauce or sesame sauce! I chose soy sauce, and my partner chose sesame sauce! It was so fresh and had such a great texture! The umami was beyond amazing! The salmon also had a great balance of fat and meat… the sesame sauce went perfectly with the white fish! It also becomes an izakaya in the evening, so it’s a place I’d definitely like to return to! After lunch, we headed to Yakuin Station (about a 7-minute walk) and then took the train to Dazaifu! We went to Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine! As expected, it was the Obon holiday, so it was super crowded! But it was hot… over 35 degrees… It’s been a while since I last visited Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine! It’s currently under renovation, so we prayed at the temporary shrine! While praying… we also received a goshuin stamp after praying! When you think of Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine, you think of the cow! We waited in line for about 10 minutes and got to pet it! It was so hot, so I hydrated…drank plum cider… and had some umegae mochi! It was delicious… We returned to Hakata Station! The bus was convenient. Hakata Station is huge, isn’t it?! We took a break at Okada, a coffee shop near Hakata Station. The atmosphere inside the shop was also amazing… I tried Muscat tea. You can get refills! The aroma of Muscat spreads softly when you pour it into the cup… it’s a very soothing flavor that goes well with sweets. My partner had a peach parfait and lemongrass tea! The parfait was full of seasonal peaches. I couldn’t resist! I had the seasonal gelato and ice cream platter! It was full of fruit and looked really delicious! Eating gelato in the heat. Ah, I was so happy… I also had a parfait, which was really delicious! It’s time to head to the hotel! We got off at Nakasu-Kawabata Station and arrived at our accommodation for the night, Hotel Resol Trinity Hakata! It’s a large 14-story hotel with a large public bath! Now it’s time to check in! I received dried plums to help prevent heatstroke. Thankfully… the amenities are here. Toothbrushes, hair brushes, and teas are also provided. The cold towels are also very convenient! When I visited, the summer festival was happening! They also offered a welcome drink service. There was even a PC room for business! The reception is on a high floor (13th floor), so the view is amazing! It’s wonderful to stay at an inn where you can enjoy the view of the city of Hakata! This time, I stayed in a room on the 12th floor! I walked through a beautiful hallway… and my room key was keyed. Let’s enter! [Non-smoking room] Twin room . Wow, a chic Hollywood twin! It’s great! First, check out the view! Opening the curtains… I could see the whole view of Hakata! Since the inn is in Nakasu, I could also see the river! Back to the bed. It’s spacious and nice! I also like the outlets next to the bed. The TV is in a great position! That’s great! It wasn’t a smart TV. There was also a humidifier/air purifier next to the TV. Mineral water was available, and the refrigerator was a regular size. Thankful. There’s also a charger on the desk, which can charge any type of device! It’s convenient. It’s very bright when you open the curtains. There’s also a desk, which is nice! The hangers are exposed. They’re easy to use! There are also separate pajamas and bath products. Separate pajamas are great… and the air conditioning can be individually controlled! Next, I’ll introduce the bathroom. It’s a beautiful unit bath. The bathtub is spacious. (I didn’t use it because there was a large public bath!) The sink is compact. The hair dryer is Panasonic! I’ll rest a bit in my room… and then I’ll head out for dinner! (I just eat all the time, lol) It’s about a 5-minute walk from the hotel… (close by) Hakata Mizutaki and Yakitori Torizen Nakasu Branch! I’ll try the set course this time! I wonder what to drink… Okay … let’s have a toast ! Shochu in Kyushu is delicious after all ! I chose the Hakata Mizutaki Kaiseki “Kaze” course (¥4,500)! A platter of three kinds of chicken sashimi! Chicken gizzard, chicken fillet, and thigh! First up, the chicken gizzard. It was crunchy and delicious! The chicken fillet was slightly cooked. It was delicious. And the thigh meat was super tasty! The texture and flavor were amazing! I can’t stop drinking sweet potato shochu! The grilled chicken wings have arrived! They’re super shiny! The sweet and spicy sauce and juicy chicken wings are irresistible! Next up is the fried cartilage! Wow! The crunchy texture and yuzu pepper are so tasty! It goes well with sake! And then there’s the main course, Hakata Mizutaki! This thick soup is irresistible! First, enjoying the soup on its own is a gentlemanly thing to do (?) It has a clear, transparent taste! So yummy! Now let’s add the vegetables and simmer! It’ll be delicious. Wait a while. Apparently the meatballs are cooked, so it’s okay to eat them! (I can’t wait) The umami of the meatballs… The crunchy cartilage… The ponzu sauce is so tasty… Oh. It’s starting to taste great! This thigh meat is also super tasty! It pairs perfectly with the broth! The combination of meatballs and vegetables is also delicious! And then there’s the rice porridge set to finish off the meal! After simmering for a while, add the egg… and the rice porridge is ready! Looks so delicious! Finally, sprinkle some nori seaweed on top and it’s a blissful moment… all the flavor is concentrated… Apparently adding this green onion sauce makes it even more delicious! It’s perfect. It was a winner… it adds a nice accent and is delicious! So I ate it all! Thank you for the meal! Just as I was thinking that, dessert arrived! Lol It was delicious! So, I went to the second place today Lol Nikaino Sakana! After the hotpot, it was time for an izakaya! (Why does that always happen?) I suddenly felt like eating seafood. A five-kind sashimi platter with hairtail, delicious-looking tuna, flounder, and more! Hairtail! It was melt-in-your-mouth delicious! I can’t stand it! Fukuoka’s sashimi is so good that I’m drinking way too much! Lol There’s a lot of fatty sashimi, and it’s really delicious… Nikaino’s potato salad is amazing… it’s amazing (my vocabulary is limited). It’s impossible not to be delicious with salmon roe and flying fish roe sprinkled on top! Atemaki (sesame mackerel) Sesame mackerel that I wanted to eat! The amount of atemaki was just right! Fukuoka’s sesame mackerel is so delicious… I’m so happy. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Fukuoka! Thank you for the meal! Finally, let’s head home after seeing the neon lights of Nakasu! There was also a fun-looking boat passing by! Ah, I want to go bar-hopping in Hakata at least once a year! After enjoying the view, we headed back to the hotel! We took a short rest in our room… and headed to the large public bath! I’m so glad there’s a large public bath! The hot spring is Yamakasa no Yu, located on the top floor! Let’s enjoy it! From the top floor (14th floor), you can enjoy a leisurely view of the Nishi-Nakasu and Tenjin areas! At night, you can enjoy the night view and relax to soothe your fatigue. There were plenty of washing areas and the bathtub was spacious, so I was able to relax and enjoy myself! After a bath, you really need to drink! Lol (and the alcohol disappears in an instant). Finally, let’s take care of our bodies! We drank and ate well today! That’s all for today! Good night! Good morning! So, without further ado… it’s time for the long-awaited breakfast! Woo hoo! Our breakfast venue is IL-CHIANTI HAKATA on the first floor! We find a stylish counter seat! We grab our trays and head out! First up is salad! Fukuoka vegetables! We get tomatoes, a mixed salad, and maybe some tuna! We also have beans, cucumbers, onions, and carrots! We have Chianti (an Italian diner’s signature) and green shiso dressing. I’ll go with the Chianti dressing! Next up are scrambled eggs , and this is the pasta of the day! It’s good! It’s a cream pasta. It looks delicious ! Next up we have bacon and sausage ! This is chicken nanban! Good! We’ll have it with tartar sauce! Hokkaido Gold Rush corn! I have to try it! Next up is grilled fish. It seems they have salmon and mackerel. There’s also escabeche next to us! We have Chikuzenni, and in the back there’s glass noodle salad. Then we had satsumaage, and of course, Fukuoka is all about mentaiko! Yay! We also had akamoku seaweed! I love sticky things. Next, we had rice from the rice cooker! It was a Hakata specialty called “Umakadesutai”! (It tastes like daikon radish?) We also had some “Okuto” in the empty space! We had the escabeche too! We had mackerel too! (They didn’t have any salmon…) Oh dear. We had wine for breakfast! But I drank too much, so I went for detox water! Lol We also had a green smoothie (green juice)! My partner looked like this. We had everything in one sitting! (He loves tomatoes.) Hozuki’s Choice – a balanced breakfast of Japanese and Western dishes – mackerel, escabeche, pasta, salad, okuto, corn, and Chikuzenni were also good! Fukuoka’s specialty mentaiko, akamoku seaweed, and umakadesutai! The green smoothie and detox water made it perfect! This is how I’d like to eat it! First up, veggie first! Fresh Fukuoka vegetables! Okuto made from seaweed. So bouncy and delicious. Chikuzenni, a dish that originated in Fukuoka Prefecture. It’s slightly sweet and delicious! And when you think of Fukuoka, you think of mentaiko! I love mentaiko! Eating it with rice is like heaven! Fukuoka is great. And satsumaage! This is also authentic , chewy and delicious! The escabeche is so sour! This Western breakfast is delicious! The mackerel is also delicious! It’s fatty! And the pasta is great! As you’d expect from an Italian restaurant. Oh, the corn from Hokkaido is really good! The bacon and sausage are also delicious. I love chicken nanban! I’m happy to see so many Kyushu specialties. Dried daikon radish is delicious! It’s crunchy and mellow! Akamoku seaweed. It’s sticky and delicious, but it’s also delicious when poured over rice to make a rice bowl! When combined with mentaiko, it’s as delicious as expected. I ate it all the first time! I’ve eaten a lot today, so I think I’ll finish it off next time! This time I tried the mixed grain rice! And then I made it into a mentaiko rice bowl! I also added akamoku seaweed! I also had miso soup! (Topped with green onions and grated kelp) I’m repeating the delicious things. First up is satsumaage! Maybe I’ll get some chicken nanban too! Maybe I’ll get the watermelon my partner recommended! Then I’ll have a fruit cocktail and some yogurt! (Healthy) I’ll try pouring some “agar honey” on top of it. Looks delicious. Hozuki’s Choice – A simple way to finish off the meal with something delicious – I’ll pair the delicious Akamoku mentaiko rice bowl from earlier with chicken nanban and satsumaage! And then I’ll have some juicy watermelon with yogurt made with agar honey and fruit! That’s how I want to finish off! Ah, Akamoku mentaiko is delicious. Seems good for you too! The satsumaage is fresh (?) and delicious… A slightly sweet miso soup! I love it! The watermelon my partner recommended is sweet! Yummy! The honey agar is also delicious! A good way to finish off! All in all, I enjoyed it! Hotel Resol Trinity was a delight! Now it’s time to get going! Hotel Resol Trinity Hakata was a wonderful inn! The price was 9,246 yen per person, including discounts! (Coupons used and points taken into account.) We stayed in the heart of Fukuoka during the Obon holiday! This price was a great deal for the conditions! The inn offered excellent value for money, with great food, baths, and accessibility! Hotel Resol Trinity Hakata has excellent access! Being a high-rise hotel, the views were amazing and the rooms were clean! It’s also located in Nakasu, so there are plenty of great restaurants nearby ! Motsunabe, mizutaki, and delicious seafood! After enjoying delicious food, it’s also nice that the inn has a large public bath ! Breakfast was wonderful, featuring delicious Kyushu cuisine! *Food, drinks, services, and prices change depending on the season, so please check the official website for the latest information. Thank you for your comments and likes! (It’s very encouraging!) Our next video will be about Kurokawa Onsen and Senomoto Kogen Hotel! Thank you for watching!
