【大阪】アクティビティ満載 子供から大人まで楽しめる OMO7大阪

Hello, this is Taka from Zipang55. I’m currently at OMO7 Osaka, a Hoshino Resorts hotel in Osaka. This hotel is conveniently located for sightseeing in Osaka and offers a wide range of activities. This channel primarily focuses on introducing hotels and other tourist spots around the city. Please subscribe and like, as it encourages me to continue making videos. So, let’s get started. OMO7 Osaka is located right in front of Shin-Imamiya Station, about a 15-minute train ride from Osaka Station. Since this is OMO7, it’s a full-service hotel with an on-site restaurant. At the entrance, there was also a Billiken statue, a famous Osaka landmark. It’s said that stroking its soles will grant your wishes. This relatively new hotel opened in April 2022. It’s quite large, with 14 floors and 436 rooms. There are free lockers in front of the lobby where you can leave your luggage. With so many lockers, it seems like you’ll have no trouble finding the right one. The lobby was bright and spacious. The second floor houses the front desk, a cafe, a restaurant, and a courtyard. The check-in counter is unmanned, and guests check in using a QR code emailed to them in advance. Next to the counter, there was a sofa seating area where guests could relax even during busy times. There was also a charging station nearby. Pajamas were available for rental. They offered a variety of sizes, from small to large. Guests were free to bring their own amenities. Basic items like cotton balls, razors, and toothbrushes were provided. The library offered books and other useful information for traveling to Osaka. During the Expo, there was also an Expo-related exhibit. There was ample seating and electrical outlets, making it a relaxing space. Next door was a gift shop selling merchandise. It was built into the wall, giving it a stylish, space-saving look. There were many activities available here, many of which were free, and I’d like to participate in some later. In the evening, from 7:30 PM, guests could enjoy free takoyaki and beer in the courtyard. Lantern rentals were also available. Depending on the season, events like smart ball and fan-making were also held. There was also a giant “Neighborhood Map,” a specialty of OMO. It introduced recommended spots around the hotel. Scan the QR code to view the location on Google Maps. It’s convenient for snacking while walking around. There’s also a cafe near the lobby, selling light snacks. The seating is well-spaced and stylish. There’s even seating where you can bring your pet. Outside of breakfast, they sell ramen, rice crackers, and bread. They also sell beer, juice, and desserts like tiramisu. It’s convenient for when you’re feeling a little hungry. Water was available free of charge. It seems you can also get your water refill in your room. They also offer a service where you can add your favorite photo to the can label. In addition to the cafe, there’s a restaurant on-site. They serve ramen, hamburgers, and other items. Prices were a bit high, though. They also serve alcoholic beverages in the evening. OMO7 Osaka also has a large public bath, but for a fee. Located near the courtyard, it features a distinctive exterior inspired by Osaka’s bathhouse culture, featuring light and shadow. Before entering, purchase a ticket from the automatic ticket machine. Payment by card appears to be the only accepted method. A 300 yen popsicle is included with use of the large public bath. The bathroom has an open skylight in the ceiling, allowing you to breathe in the fresh air and smell the fresh air. It gently reflects the light streaming in from outside, creating a white, otherworldly atmosphere. If you’re interested, give it a try. The courtyard just outside has plenty of seating, making it a great place to relax. It’s spacious, perfect for kids and pets to run around and play. At night, the courtyard hosts “Pika Pika Night.” It’s spacious, so it seems like you can spend your time wherever you like. Now, let me introduce you to our room. There was a cute cat ornament in the elevator hall. The lobby is on the second floor, and the guest rooms are located on the third to fourteenth floors. This time, I stayed in a king room. Since this hotel is newly built, the room was beautiful. There was a map of Osaka on the wall. The king-size bed was quite large. The room was also spacious and comfortable. The sofa was also spacious. The sink was integrated into the room. There was a TV, which could be adjusted to a comfortable viewing position. There was also an air purifier. The desk was large and looked like it would be easy to work on. Various supplies were placed under the sink. There was candy, a typical Osaka thing. Coffee and roasted green tea were also available. There were mugs and a kettle. A hair dryer and bath towels were also provided. There were no drinks in the refrigerator, but a bottle of water was provided in the room. Lotion, milky lotion, and hand soap were also provided. The bathroom was located halfway down the hallway, with a separate bathtub and washing area. It was spacious, and it looked like you could take a long soak in the tub. The toilet was also clean and spacious. The hallway could be partitioned off, which was convenient and meant you didn’t have to worry about changing clothes. There was no closet, but hangers and deodorizing spray were hanging on the wall. It doesn’t take up much space, so this might be fine. Osaka station names and famous places were written on the wall, which was fun just to look at. I’m sure I’ll have many conversations with the other guests. This time, I stayed in this room for one night. The price was 15,000 yen per adult for a weekend stay with no meals included. Although it was a weekend stay, it was relatively expensive compared to other accommodations in the area. There are many activities, many of which are free to participate in. Apparently , there’s also a walking tour of the Shinsekai area and a bus to Universal Studios Japan. Some activities require reservations, so please make your reservations once you’ve decided on your stay dates. There are various room types, including some that can accommodate multiple guests. It seems like a fun stay for families. Next, I’ll participate in the “Super Kushikatsu Immersion Tour” activity. We met in front of the neighborhood map and visited two kushikatsu restaurants with the staff. Since I arrived late, I’ll only be able to introduce one restaurant. About a seven-minute walk from the hotel is Janjan Yokocho, a place named after the street vendors who used to attract customers with the sound of shamisen. Walking a little further, I could see Tsutenkaku Tower. Even today, there are many affordable and delicious restaurants lined up, making it a popular tourist spot. As we walked, we were introduced to several recommended restaurants. Speaking of kushikatsu in Osaka, Daruma is famous. We were also introduced to the restaurant where Daruma originated. Omiya, located across the street, is also popular for serving kushikatsu similar to corn dogs. We were also introduced to the coffee shop where mixed juice originated. This retro coffee shop offers meals and drinks. Mixed juice is also available for takeout. For 700 yen per glass, you can enjoy a traditional mixed juice. If you’re interested, give it a try. This time, we visited a kushikatsu restaurant called Osho. Apparently, it used to be a shogi (Japanese chess) restaurant, but it has been renovated into a kushikatsu restaurant. The restaurant we were introduced to is affiliated with Hoshino Resorts, and offers a special set menu. We ordered the 1,500 yen set, which includes several kushikatsu skewers, some snacks, and a drink. The participation fee for this tour is 1,000 yen per person, plus food and drink costs. The concept is to get tourists into restaurants that are difficult to enter on their own. This restaurant offers many original kushikatsu dishes, and we were able to try some unique ones. Kushikatsu topped with salmon roe is something you don’t often get to try. The food was delicious, and the staff were happy to share their local stories. They also offered recommendations for other restaurants and Osaka sightseeing, so if you’re interested, please join in. Now, let’s head back to participating in the hotel’s activities. Comedians performed live comedy shows, introduced the history of Yoshimoto, and introduced the Osaka Expo. In another lecture, we heard from a sculptor of the portable shrine used in the Danjiri Festival. The content seems to vary depending on the time of your stay. In the Kansai region, floats are called danjiri. Danjiri festivals are primarily held in September and October. There’s a festival called Kishiwada in September, and it’s said to have had an unusual beginning. In castle towns, there’s a day once a year when commoners could visit their lord. It’s said that the Danjiri Festival began when commoners came up with the idea to entertain the lord. It ‘s about 3.8 meters tall, and the main body alone weighs about 4 tons. With about 30 adults and drums piled on top, it weighs about 7 tons. It takes at least five years to complete. The float itself alone cost 100 million yen. Including decorations, it’s estimated to cost about 140 million yen. Including tires and other consumables, it costs about 10 million yen just to move it. The danjiri itself is beautifully carved. It’s about 45 cm deep and is made of about five pieces of wood. At the end, we were able to watch a carving demonstration. Apparently, the carving was done using the image in front as a reference. Pikapika Night was also being held outside. Free takoyaki, beer, juice, and more were available. There was also a corner where you could draw on a fan at OMO7 Osaka. Kids would love it. Smartball gave out candy to participants. These patterns are fun. Takoyaki can be given multiple times, but first-timers seem to be given priority. A representative from a famous takoyaki restaurant came and cooked it right in front of you. It was a joy to be able to eat piping hot takoyaki. Pineapple juice was also available. I enjoyed piping hot takoyaki with a cold beer. The food was delicious, and it was great that the all-you-can-eat option was included. The restaurant also sold summery treats like shaved ice and ramune soda. It seems the items available change depending on the season. Outside, they had a projection mapping show, projecting fireworks and other images. Each show lasted about five minutes and was held several times a night. If you’re staying overnight, be sure to check it out. I visited during the Osaka Expo, so the projections were also tailored to the Expo. There were about three lectures like the ones I mentioned earlier, held every 30 minutes. These included a comedy live show, an introduction to Universal Studios Japan, and a cultural and historical presentation by a local resident. It’s a great opportunity to learn new things, so be sure to attend a lecture that interests you. Now, I’ll head back to my room and rest. Good morning. Finally, a quick introduction to breakfast. Light snacks are available in the cafe in the morning, and a buffet is also available in the restaurant. The restaurant offers Osaka specialties and dishes made with dashi broth. Since it’s a buffet, it’s great that you can try a variety of dishes. The cafe also offers plate meals for 1,800 yen. In addition to the plates, drinks and soup are included. If you don’t need as much as the buffet, this might be a good option. They also sell bread and rice balls sourced from local shops. If you prefer a simpler snack, this is also a good option. Choose your breakfast to suit your style. So what did you think of this “OMO7 Osaka”? There were plenty of activities, and it was a hotel that could be enjoyed by people of all ages. I recommend you all consider staying there too. I hope this video will be of some use to your trip. Please subscribe, like, and give it a super thanks, as it encourages me to continue making videos. Thank you for watching until the end. See you in the next video – goodbye
