I’m heading to Okinawa now.
I just got my ticket, so next… I have to take the limousine bus. Where’s the bus stop? Excuse me. I’d like to take this bus. Male Security Guard: Are you going to the hotel by limousine bus? Yes. Male Security Guard: Please buy a ticket at the counter and go to bus number 12. When you board the bus, ask if it’s going to the Sakima Art Museum. [I couldn’t find the ticket counter.] [I decided to take bus number 190.] I think this is the bus. The bus is going to the Sakima Art Museum, right? Driver: Yes. Thank you. [I’ve arrived at the bus stop and will be getting off.] Can I exchange 10,000 yen bills? Driver: No, I can’t. Driver: If anyone can exchange a 10,000 yen bill, please help me. Male: Yes, I can. Male: That would be helpful. Thank you for the ten thousand yen bills. Sorry. Thank you. I’m currently at the Sakima Art Museum, so I can’t take any photos. I’ll put my camera away. This is the art museum located right on the edge of the base. The rooftop is a place to clear your mind after viewing the paintings while looking at the ocean. That must be the base. I can see the ocean beyond the base. It’s a very small museum, but it takes time to look around and think. There is a painting by Iri and Toshi Maruki of the Battle of Okinawa. There is a painting of mass suicide. Residents who fled to caves along the Battle of Okinawa and believed the words of Japanese soldiers chose mass suicide, but In another cave just 1 km away, Because there was a guy who spoke English and could see through the Japanese soldiers’ order Then they were able to tell the American soldiers that there were no Japanese soldiers there and safely leave the cave. So no one died. I thought it was important to be able to speak and have knowledge of other languages. The explanation was I’m late, but I came to Okinawa for a two-day, one-night trip. my self-introduction video shows I have been to Canada in my 20s, At that time I met many students who were from Okinawa, and that led me to visit Okinawa more often. This is my sixth visit to Okinawa. And one of those friends is starring in a movie that’s about to be released nationwide. I came to see it in Okinawa, where it’s being shown early. I don’t mean to shock you, but I’m going to walk for 52 minutes. google That’s what the map says. I walk hard to the delicious Okinawa soba restaurant. It looks like there’s a bus running here too. The base is on the left. I’ve come to a very complicated intersection. I cross like this and then cross to the other side. A road with no shade at all. I’m wearing sunscreen on my face and arms, but not on my feet. My feet are getting tan lines from my socks. I’m in a shady area now.
But at least there’s a sidewalk. In Saudi Arabia,
there wouldn’t be any sidewalks. The plants look Okinawan. Taro leaves? Another base.
Oh, no shade! This is the shop. It was right after crossed the base. The base is large, though. Are they open? Oh, it says they’re open. So cool Please help yourself to water. Which one should I get? They all look so delicious. Staff: Are you waiting for someone? I’d like to order… Staff: Please use a meal ticket. Sorry. It’s a meal ticket. What should I get? Staff member: Thank you. The water is delicious. I just got here, and there’s lots of mugwort. I’ll just try the soup first. It’s really delicious. Katsuo stock is very delicious! There’s noodles underneath the tofu. This is the meat used for braised pork. Pork belly. And seaweed. Too much? Healthy medicinal herbs Add “koregusu” (Japanese citrus juice) It tastes better without it. I finished it, but I added too much “koregusu.” It ruined the flavor of the bonito broth. Mugwort may be good for you, but it’s bitter. Truly, good medicine tastes bitter. It was delicious. Gochisousama I’m full. It was worth coming to Okinawa. Next, I’ll head to Blue Seal Ice Cream. It’s a 30-minute walk. After that, I’ll enjoy the ice cream. Walking through a residential area like this. It’s sunny, but it’s starting to rain. Will it be okay? Are you catching anything? Boy: Yes. How many centimeters long will the fish be? ? Boy: 30 centimeters What, seriously? Boy: It’s an eel That black thing under the rock is an eel. Should I catch one and eat it? Boy: Some people do Boy: If you go further in, you’ll find turtles too. But aren’t snakes scary? Boy: Vipers come out at night. Have you seen one?
Boy: No I’ll walk to Blue Seal then. Boy: Good luck! thank you, you too! Even the locals said they’d never seen a viper. Apparently they’re active at night. There are man fishing here too. come to a major street. The traffic light hasn’t changed. Why?
It’s hot. The traffic light is really long. What’s going on? What should I do? Oh, it’s changed. It’s 5 o’clock, so maybe a lot of people are getting off work? go straight, I’ll see Blue Seal ice cream. I can see it.
Look, it’s on the left. Let’s take a break here. Where do I enter? It has an American diner vibe. This looks delicious. Hello.
Which one should I get? I’d like a Blue Seal sundae in a cup, please. choose ice cream and soft cream. What should I do? Salted chinsuko ice cream and Purple sweet potato, please. Purple sweet potato and salted chinsuko. Absolutely delicious! I’ll walk about 10 minutes to the hotel now. Oh, there’s a Starbucks. business rivals! This is the hotel. Hello. Just a normal apartment. This is my room. Huh? How do I open it? Should I turn on the lights?
Let me introduce it to you. There’s a kettle and a microwave right inside. There’s nothing in the refrigerator. The freezer is at the bottom. The bathroom is on the left. Washing machine and toilet. It’s more than enough. The bath is also good enough. Look, everything is here. There’s a kitchen, and some cups there. I’m a little surprised there’s a sink here. There’s a mirror, and everything is here. Toothbrush, body sponge, razor. Hair dryer and Wi-Fi The air conditioner is on, so it’s not that hot. Can also be used for hanging laundry This is what it looks like outside. It’s pretty normal, I guess. You can see the main street. This timeI forgot the outlet. I have a USB cable, but I forgot the outlet. I was able to charge it by connecting the USB to my computer. [Going to see the Eisa dance] [Continued on Day 2]
