長野・別所温泉|上田電鉄 別所線で巡る 信州の鎌倉と松茸の秋 1泊2日
We’ve arrived in Ueda City, Nagano Prefecture! We’re going to ride a train called Ueda Electric Railway and travel along the Bessho Line! Summer has passed and it’s becoming autumn-like It’s getting cooler Perfect weather for traveling!! A local line connecting Ueda Station to Bessho Onsen Station in about 30 minutes You can enjoy the seasonal countryside scenery from the train windows! I have hay fever 😂 We took the Ueda Electric Railway and came to Yagisawa Station! The Yagisawa Station building is super cute! The color is sky blue It’s so cute!! It has a nice atmosphere It’s an unmanned station, so it has character! It’s been used as a movie filming location and for music video shoots! But I can see why people want to use it! I totally get it We took so many photos! We couldn’t stop taking videos & photos and stayed for an hour! lol Sky blue stations are rare, right? They are! It has a pop feel Like something from an anime It has that kind of vibe It was really nice♪ This is the view when you get off at the station So peaceful! Rural scenery spreads out before you!! You know The rice is a bit… Masa is looking this way like she wants to say something!! The rice has been harvested, you can feel autumn True! It’s gotten quite cool The sun is strong but the wind is cool Naru’s turn That mountain is called “Tokko-san” Can you climb it? Apparently you can! It’s big! From there, like Doesn’t it look like it’s spreading out? Yeah This area is called “Shiodaira” Shiodaira This area has little rain So there are many ponds scattered throughout! Let’s wander around this area a bit And go to a soba restaurant There’s a soba place, so let’s go I’m nervous! lol In the Edo period, it was called “Shioda Sanmangoku”
as the granary district of Ueda Domain! Birds are targeting the rice!! Let’s eat! Soba with three types of dipping sauces! Walnut, grated yam, and fried tempura bits First, let’s try it with walnut! Mmm, delicious! Walnut seems to go well with it! It’s sweet! It’s super sweet The walnut chunks Have a good texture and mouthfeel!! Delicious I wondered what sweet soba would be like But it’s good!! Walnut really goes well with it!! The soba had a nice bite and was delicious♪ The tempura was also generous in portion!! The soba from Horokanai, Hokkaido was delicious too!! We came to “Maida Station,” the station before Yagisawa Station! We’ve arrived at Bessho Onsen Station! This Bessho Onsen Station Is super cute too It really is! It’s retro! The blue, beige, and white look nice together Is the Bessho Line retro? Or is it kind of stylish? They have places like this It’s nice Let’s head to the hot spring area! This is today’s final destination! Bessho Onsen is Called the “Kamakura of Shinano” Because there are so many temples and shrines That was unexpected Let’s check out various places! A hot spring with 1,400 years of history, the oldest in Shinano Written about by Sei Shonagon in “The Pillow Book” Known as “Nanakuri no Yu” Kitamuki Kannon is over there! That’s it! There’s something that looks like a shrine Did we take the wrong path? There’s supposed to be an approach path! Let’s aim for the approach! Let’s go through the approach!! Kitamuki Kannon!! Ah! This is it! This is it! The famous one! This is the approach! Kitamuki Kannon is visible in the back! Ah! You see this often! Kitamuki Kannon, where the Kannon Hall is usually built facing south Is an unusual north-facing protection temple “Like the North Star that guides travelers,
I wish to be an unchanging guide” Legend says it chose to face north itself With “Ryosanmairi” (visiting both temples) with Zenkoji Temple You can receive blessings for both this life and the afterlife, making it popular Aizen Katsura A Katsura tree with blessings for matchmaking and love fulfillment You can see Mount Azumaya and Mount Nekodake in the distance Which ones? The pointed one is “Mount Azumaya” This one is probably Mount Nekodake! Nostalgic! We went there Nostalgic! It’s nostalgic that we went! But I didn’t go What! Really? You’re right, you didn’t go! I totally slipped up…😂 Looking at it like this The city of Ueda is really surrounded by mountains Isn’t it intricate? The mountains are quite… We could see the Kagura-den of Bessho Shrine too! There are many souvenir shops along the approach!! We came to a stylish cafe! Hard to decide… Pouring caramel on it! Firm pudding The bitterness of the caramel is delicious!! A pure Japanese-style inn founded in 1923 From all guest rooms you can view the beautiful Japanese garden in all four seasons! A somehow calming, comfortable room The room also has a bath and toilet! Going to the hot spring right away!! That was a good bath! The water quality is really good!! It’s super smooth and after getting out It kind of clings to your skin? It’s a hot spring that’s gentle on the skin!! It was really good The outdoor bath was lukewarm Just right The indoor bath was hot! Where the water comes out There was a talisman, right? Kitamuki Kannon? It was from Kitamuki Kannon! That’s unusual First time seeing a talisman in a bath!! Having that there Seems to bring even more blessings The baths at Bessho Onsen The hot spring I think it springs from under Kitamuki Kannon? Hot spring water welling up from beneath Kitamuki Kannon!! Going to dinner at the “Matsutake Cabin” They provide transportation, so you can enjoy with peace of mind♪ Driving through the mountains! About 10 minutes from the hotel! A matsutake cuisine specialty restaurant open for a limited time From early September to mid-November when matsutake can be harvested! The location from the matsutake cabin surrounded by Japanese red pine forest Overlooking Shiodaira and the mountains is outstanding! Matsutake sushi, dobin-mushi, grilled matsutake, etc. You can enjoy an exquisite full course of matsutake dishes It’s all matsutake!! Amazing! What is matsutake sushi!! First time hearing about it!! But I Have hay fever Can’t smell anything at all I really can’t smell anything That’s terrible The aroma is just gone Let’s eat It’s big! The matsutake! It goes well with the vinegared rice! Delicious!! It’s crunchy And tasty I can’t quite get the aroma That’s too bad But it’s incredibly delicious It feels like eating something luxurious! Tell me what kind of aroma it has Please🙏 Plenty of matsutake!! So delicious!! My nose might be clearing up!! lol I might be able to smell The matsutake soon!! The power of matsutake is clearing my nose Amazing I haven’t fully recovered yet So I can’t tell But maybe I’ll start to smell it soon! lol Magnificent matsutake! You tear and grill the matsutake yourself♪ Pour sake on it and grill!! Looks delicious!😻 Yes! Delicious!! The matsutake flavor is concentrated This is the most delicious I can really taste the matsutake! So good!! Incredibly delicious Wow! Grilled matsutake is amazing!! This is it!! I’m feeling energized! I’m feeling better So good! The best!! Wait, isn’t the grilled one too good? The grilled one is amazingly good!! Seriously delicious! It comes out from inside too, right? (The aroma and flavor) When you bite, it gushes out (The aroma and flavor) I’ve come to prefer eating matsutake grilled♪ I’ll have it with matsutake rice It’s really delicious! I could eat another one! Of course you could! Too delicious! The hot pot even has udon noodles to finish!! A dinner that was worth splurging on♪ Back to the hot spring town♪ The inn’s lights have a warm color Entering Ishiyu (Bessho Onsen Public Bath)♪ Fee: ¥300 A hot spring said to have been a hidden bath of the Sanada clan during the Warring States period The bath was a bit small, but the water was hot and felt great! Good morning! Today we’re going to visit Three temples and shrines Each one seems worth seeing I’m looking forward to it It’s morning so it’s very cool The breeze is refreshing The forest and sky give a sense Of autumn approaching It’s definitely cool Whether it’s autumn by looking at the sky I can’t judge that The shade of blue has changed Oh really Probably… lol Let’s enjoy today too Signs of autumn♪ There was a foot bath! Few people around since it’s morning The oldest Zen temple in Shinano, opened in 1246 Along with Kenchoji Temple in Kamakura It was one of Japan’s oldest Rinzai Zen temples But was converted to Soto Zen around 1588 About 4 minutes walk to the octagonal three-story pagoda! The octagonal three-story pagoda viewed through the trees is also nice!! It’s an octagonal three-story pagoda!! Seems like it! Octagonal ones are rare! Japan’s only existing wooden octagonal three-story pagoda! How many sides do they usually have? Generally “square” is most common It might look like a four-story pagoda But the bottom layer is called “mokoshi” (eaves) It serves as rain protection So counting from the top there are 3 That’s why it’s a three-story pagoda! And what’s surprising This building Was the first in Nagano Prefecture to be designated a “National Treasure”! Earlier than Matsumoto Castle and Zenkoji Temple It was the first to be designated a national treasure The atmosphere of this temple Is really amazing I was surprised That a place like this exists! Yeah yeah yeah yeah It’s covered in moss and the light is beautiful It feels like it’s in the middle of a forest, so nice It’s built quite deep in the mountains I was surprised!! The building is also big and impressive! Impressive Really worth seeing Cosmos are blooming! Yes! They’re beautiful! So beautiful!! You feel autumn When cosmos bloom Cosmos means autumn What! Really!! Do you know what kanji Cosmos is written with? Kanji? Isn’t it katakana? It’s not katakana What kanji is it written with? Do you know cosmos? Cosmos? I have no image at all It’s autumn! Hint is autumn! Autumn and this pink color Doesn’t it resemble some flower? Dandelion? No! The pink color! Pink colored Peach? No, different! Blooms in spring? Cherry blossom? Yes! Ah! I get it! Autumn cherry blossom Well you’d get it from that I gave too many hints “Autumn cherry blossom” is written as “cosmos” Oh really There’s no way you could read that That’s why it blooms in autumn They’re pretty Indeed Mount Asama is also slightly visible on the far right! This Jorakuji Temple Is the main temple of Kitamuki Kannon This is the main temple Kitamuki Kannon Hall is not an independent temple
but part of Jorakuji Temple! Kitamuki Kannon was facing north, right Jorakuji Temple is facing south They’re facing each other Facing this place? Facing this place And also facing Zenkoji Temple Ta-da! The thatched roof is impressive Isn’t this the thickest one so far? A temple with such a large thatched roof Is quite rare! Made in 1262 (Kamakura period) Climbing a slightly steep mountain path! A shrine built on a small hill north of Bessho Onsen Long believed to bring blessings for matchmaking and fertility The Kagura-den has no front wall and is open You can enjoy views of Shiodaira and the distant Asama mountain range The view is really nice It is! You can see all of (Bessho Onsen)! You can clearly see the Bessho Onsen hot spring town (Bessho Onsen) is quite compact But there were slopes So it was a worthwhile walk Just right! As a walk that doubles as trekking It’s close to the mountains Looking at it like this Delicious!! Plenty of matsutake!! The oyaki dough and matsutake match perfectly, supremely delicious!! Thank you for watching!
