Japan’s Nara Park in Autumn Feels Like a Dream | Deer Among the Fall Leaves🦌🍁
Visiting Japan’s Nara Park!🦌🍁 A world of many deer and beautiful autumn leaves. Also, don’t miss the high-speed rice cake pounding and temples! Please enjoy 4-day trip! Good morning! I’m at Nara Station. Today I’m going to take the bus to Nara Park, where the deer and the autumn leaves are beautiful. The bus ride takes about 10 minutes! Nara is about 400km from Tokyo. Nara Park is close to Nara Station and can be reached on foot in 30 minutes. Welcome to deer world🦌 When you get off the bus, you’ll find yourself in a different world. Wild deer and humans coexist here. Nara Park is a vast park that boasts a total area of 500 hectares. In addition, in November and December you can see beautiful autumn leaves. This video was filmed from December 10th to 13th. The fiery red color and the deer are beautiful. In the morning, a group of deer crossed the river and went to the park. Then one of the deer started to cry. I heard the deer’s voice for the first time. It’s a very strange voice. I wonder what she’s saying? The park’s deer are wild but friendly. If you look closely at the faces of deer, there are individual differences🫎 Beautiful. Hey, you’ve got something on your bottom😂 It’s a red fallen leaf. cute🍁 (Forget about that and look at this) Oh! Amazing. These trees are called “momiji” They are usually green, but in autumn they turn red. There are not many countries in the world where you can see autumn leaves. East Asia, Europe and parts of North America. Of these, Japan is the only country where you can see red and orange autumn leaves all at once. For this reason, Japan is said to be “the country with the most beautiful autumn leaves in the world” Let’s give the deer some snacks. In Nara Park, a snack called “deer crackers” is sold. It’s a snack specially for deer, and it’s very popular with them. (Hurry up and buy it) One set is 200 yen. ($1)(€1) I bought three sets. ($3.84)(€3.69) There are already customers with reservations. (Thanks) Hello. (Hello) Great sound. (Please give me more) The deer bow when they ask for sweets. Good girl, good girl. You’re a smart. So cute. I was surrounded by the deer. With deer crackers, anyone can become popular. In the morning, they seem to be particularly hungry. However, teasing is a no-no. They can be dangerous as they may bite or charge at you in anger. Please be careful if you visit. They will chase me forever😂 I will give them all a snack while I run away. When I run out of snacks, I raise my hands. When I do that, they don’t attack me. I think I’ll buy some more snacks. But there are deer guards around😂 Please give me one. The deer near the sales area. If I’m not careful, they’ll eat my hand. The deer that are approaching are worth watching. I’ve got the hang of it. finish! You’re very polite. Thank you. Next, I’m going to an event! The current time is 10:00 a.m. I have come to a place called Tobihino. Suddenly, a man starts to play the horn. Then, to my surprise, the deer come running out of the forest! Amazing! This is a traditional event called “Shikayose” The sound of the instruments attracts around 200 deer. This event is held several times a year. In December, it was held from the 1st to the 14th! When the performance was over, the deer started walking towards the horn player. The reason for this was that they would receive a reward. The horn player is scattering nuts. The deer then form a beautiful line. This event began in 1892. It is said that they first played a trumpet at a festival to gather the deer. There are currently 1325 deer in Nara Park. It seems that the staff count them by sight every year. That must be a very difficult job😂 The reason why there are deer in Nara has not yet been clarified. For this reason, the deer have been carefully protected as messengers of the gods for over 1000 years. The event has ended safely. I’m getting as close as I can to the deer and filming them. The chewing sounds are too good. What kind of nut is this? It’s an acorn! Do you have acorns in your country too? Please let us know in the comments🌰 But, deer crackers are more popular than acorns. The deer crackers disappeared in an instant. It’s interesting to see the deer’s heads rising in turn. Staff: Please help us raise funds for the deer! The donations are being used to pay for the treatment of injured deer. The deer wouldn’t eat the acorns from my hand. Maybe the deer in the forest are very cautious. Or maybe my hands are smelly? But there was one kind deer. Thanks. Deer are popular with children too. But if I were a child, I think I’d be scared of deer. Aren’t you scared of being at the same height as the deer?😱 (Don’t say that!) (I’m sad〜) Hey, you! It’s a red light! Very dangerous😂 But here the deer always take priority. As the day progresses, more people arrive. The time of opportunity has come for the deer. They’re cute, but be careful of the males. The males are known to be rough and head-butt. For this reason, many males have their antlers cut off for safety. However, even without antlers they are still very dangerous. You need to be careful not to get caught up in a fight. The Japanese people agitate the deer. Oh my god.. Female deer are relatively gentle. However, they are wild, so be careful. The sun has risen and the deer are enjoying the sunshine. Cute. Nara Park has a straight road leading to Todai-ji Temple. The first maple leaves in the video are around here. The “Shikayose” is a plaza further south on the map. There are many shops lining the road leading to Todai-ji Temple. There are ice cream shops and souvenir shops. Nara Park is home to the World Heritage Site of Todai-ji Temple. Let’s go. This is the Great South Gate of Todaiji Temple.(Nandaimon Gate) It’s so big that you might think this is Todaiji Temple. On either side of the gate stand the guardian statues known as Kongorikishi. They have faces fit to be gatekeepers. I continue along the path. You need to pay an admission fee to see Todai-ji. The entrance to the Daibutsuden. (Great Buddha Hall) A combined ticket for Todaiji and the museum costs 1200 yen. It’s 800 yen to just go into the temple. I chose the ticket for the temple only. That’s Todai-ji! It’s amazing. Todai-ji is a building that was built about 1,300 years ago. This temple was built by a former emperor to protect the country. In 1998, it was designated a World Heritage Site. When you enter the temple, you will see a huge statue of Buddha. It is about 15 meters high, and the width of its face is about 3.2 meters. The pose of the hands has meaning. The right hand gives a sense of security, and the left hand means that your wish will be granted. I will also have my wish granted by the Great Buddha. I hope this video reaches many people.
Nyoirinkannon zō There were two more statues further back. You can also see a miniature of Todai-ji Temple. It’s wonderfully detailed. Since I’ve come all this way, I’ll buy a lucky charm. You can buy all sorts of different amulets. I bought an amulet with a picture of the Great Buddha! Good color. It was a wonderful time! I felt sacred. I’m a bit hungry, so let’s take a break. I’ll eat Japanese dango nearby🍡 It smells sweet and good. There are also takoyaki and ice cream, in addition to dango🐙🍨 120 yen per piece.($0.7) Cheaper than deer snacks🤣 Thank you. looks delicious! These are sweet dumplings called mitarashi dango. The taste is addictive. Pay attention to the deer in the back. 😂 I’m getting even hungrier. This cafe is a good place to go in such a situation. Cafe CONCE From the seats by the window, you can take your time watching the deer. Matcha latte and sandwich (¥1650)($10)(€10) This cafe is a hidden gem. This green tea latte is really delicious. The perfect balance of sweetness and bitterness. The sandwiches are freshly baked. The simple cheese and bacon are delicious. What’s more, this cafe has Wi-Fi and power outlets, so you can even work. It’s wonderful to be able to work while watching the deer. Next, I’ll head to a world of yellow. A large ginkgo tree. There is a beauty to it that is different from the red autumn leaves. So beautiful. Do you guys live here? It’s a garden that’s too enviable. The deer are currently taking a nap. It looks like pudding🍮 Nara is often chosen as a destination for school trips. When I was in junior high school, I visited Osaka, Nara and Kyoto. It’s good to travel alone, but it’s also fun to come with friends and family. In Nara, there are rental bicycles everywhere in the city. They’re cheap, so I recommend them as a means of transport. There’s a place I really want to visit by bicycle. It takes about 10 minutes to get there. The destination is Mizutani Chaya! I’ve arrived! Here is Mizutani Chaya🍁 Mizutani Chaya is a restaurant during the day. The combination of autumn leaves and buildings is beautiful, making it a popular spot for photographers. However, there aren’t many deer. You’re lucky if you see two or three deer. He seems to be quite a glutton. Since I’m here, let’s eat something. The main dish is udon noodles. There’s also a wide selection of drinks and desserts. The restaurant has a nice Japanese atmosphere. I ordered the shrimp tempura udon. It’s really delicious! The crispy batter and the shrimp. It’s perfect for cold weather. A spice called “shichimi” It’s spicy, so be careful not to cough too much😂 Delicious… The flavor isn’t that strong, but it’s chewy and easy to eat. I really want everyone to try it. The soup has a nice fishy flavor. It’s also nice to eat outside on the terrace! Thank you for the meal. He also wants to eat. Unfortunately, deer are not allowed inside. His sad back. But he found someone who gave him a snack. Good for you! What’s on the other side of the bridge? I’ll go and have a look! Then the deer parent and child follow me. There was a shrine there! It’s a small shrine called Mizutani Shrine. I return home with the deer in tow. Is the deer on the right the father? Probably not, as the fawn is on its guard. You’re so cute. It’s probably about six months old. The combination of the red fallen leaves and the deer looks good. She seems to have found some nuts. It’s time to say goodbye. Bye! The hotel for the first day is just 30 seconds on foot from here! It’s a bit far from Nara Station, but it’s a recommended hotel. let’s go. We really did arrive at the hotel in 30 seconds. The name of the hotel is THE DEER PARK INN! I said it was a hotel, but it’s more like a guesthouse. The price is 5600 yen per night! It’s cheap. The interior is a nice combination of white walls and wood. This is my room! Oh! Lovely room! It’s not that big, but the view is the selling point of this room. You can have the deer all to yourself! The room has a double bed, air conditioning, hairdryer, etc. The facilities are minimal, but comfortable. The shower and toilet are shared. There is a stylish shared living room. There is also a kitchen! All-you-can-drink tea, coffee, cocoa, etc. Japanese cup ramen noodles are sold for 200 yen.($1)(€1) There are cooking utensils, so you can buy ingredients and cook. It’s cold, so I’ll have some cocoa. I like the color of this mug. A relaxing moment☕️ Watching the deer calms my heart. After this, I plan to walk for about 10 minutes to get to a place called Nigatsudo. This is Nigatsudo. The sunset is so beautiful. When the sun goes down, you can see the whole night view of Nara. I highly recommend visiting Nigatsudo at night. I chose to stay at a hotel nearby because I wanted to see this night view. If you come to Nara, please visit. See you tomorrow. Good night. Good morning. It’s a wonderful morning. The morning sun makes the deer and my heart shine. I did my best to capture the best moments on video. Actually, there are lots of other people trying to get the best shot too. Oh, pee. Photographers from all over the world gather in Nara Park. (What are you taking a picture of?) The deer look curious. They have no idea that they are part of a spectacular view. Don’t worry, I’m not a suspicious person. (What did it smell like?) Just like yesterday, the deer are crossing the river and coming to the park. Slowly at own pace. Good morning. (I’m sleepy) Is this really Japan? I feel like I’m in some deer country. On this day too, the deer are attracted by the sound of the horn. But, today the deer are walking instead of running. (Give me, give me) As usual, there are many deer and many people today. Even though this event only happens a few times a year, the deer always come. They are clever creatures. The deer of Nara have been passing on their unique genes for over 1000 years. They have not been in contact with deer from other regions in that time. I can’t hide my surprise. That’s why you guys are so friendly. I am grateful to them for having lived for so long. I found a place in the park that is not an exaggeration to say is the most beautiful. The roof, which is shaped like an umbrella, is very stylish. The autumn leaves in the background are also great! I bought some deer snacks again for this. I’ll give them to you in order, so don’t bite me. Angle adjustment by deer😂 Good job! This is a good scene. (Let us know your favorite scenes in the comments, too!) Next, we’re going to the second World Heritage Site! This is a shrine called Kasuga Taisha. This red gate called a torii is a sign of a shrine. This is the Sourin (Golden Pagoda). The difference between a temple and a shrine is that a temple enshrines a Buddhist statue, while a shrine enshrines a god. World Heritage Site “Kasuga Taisha” The messenger of the gods welcomes us. The messenger of the gods is interested in the plastic bottle. The yellow leaves are beautiful around here. The combination of stone and deer is also picturesque. It costs 700 yen to enter Kasuga Taisha.($4)(€4) But it’s 100 yen cheaper than the ticket for Todaiji. This is Kasuga Taisha. Although it is smaller than Todaiji, the vermillion-lacquered buildings are beautiful. There are many lanterns decorating the walkways. A total of 3000! Until the end of the Edo period (1603-1867), all of the lanterns were lit every night. There are lit lanterns in the dark room. It’s a very fantastic space. This building was originally used by Shinto priests attending at the shrine. At present, hanging lanterns made of copper are on display to recreate the atmosphere of the annual Mando-ro Festival. The 3,000 lanterns of Kasuga Taisha Shrine are now lit only twice a year, in February and August. People gather from all around Japan to participate in these festivals and experience the exquisite beauty of the flickering lanterns. I walk down a Japanese-style street to the bus stop. This street is near Kasuga Taisha and Nigatsudo. The high stone wall creates a nice atmosphere. This is a back road that leads to Todaiji Temple, known only to those in the know. Because there are few people on this road, it is recommended. I’ve arrived at the bus stop. There are a lot of people wearing kimono today. I’m heading for Kintetsu Nara Station now. It’s about a 5-minute bus ride from Nara Park. Bye-bye, captive deer. I was waiting for the bus and saw an interesting sight. 😂 The deer seem to be in heat. The bus runs about every 15 minutes. It costs 250 yen for a one-way trip.($2) You can pay with cash or an IC card. I arrived at Kintetsu Nara Station. At Kintetsu Nara Station you can enjoy delicious food. By the way, there are no deer here. From here I’ll introduce the food I ate! The first shop is Manshodo. These mitarashi dango are cheap and delicious. Hot tea is a free service. Next up are taiyaki. This is a treats shaped like a fish. There is sweet bean paste inside. Here you can see the famous high-speed rice cake pounding. The rice cake pounding by the well-coordinated craftsmen is a must-see! awesome!! But this is where the real fun begins! 😂 perfect!! The finished rice cakes are put into a machine and cut into small pieces. I could watch this forever. It was soft and very delicious! Next is Daibutsu Ichigo. These are deer cookies and strawberry daifuku. The combination of strawberry, red bean paste and rice cake is irresistible. It was delicious. Finally, this shop. “Daibutsu” means “large Buddha”. This is a simple, soft pudding. The flavor was delicious. But I prefer a pudding that’s a little harder. Let’s have dinner. The seats are like a secret base. Not bad. It’s small, but you can see the view. Tonkatsu set. Tonkatsu is deep-fried pork. Rice. Miso soup. Pickles. Sesame seeds for the sauce. I make my own sauce. Grind the sesame seeds and add the sauce to them! It looks delicious! Many Japanese people put their hands together in prayer before eating to give thanks for the food. It’s delicious! very juicy. This makes you want to eat more rice. This restaurant is near the station. There were lots of foreigners queuing up. I can be proud of Japanese food. This sauce also goes well with vegetables! Thank you for the meal! There are many hotels near Nara Park.
So there are few problems. However, there are so many that it is difficult to decide where to stay. If you’re in that situation, please refer to my recommendations! The hotel where I’m staying today is right next to Nara Station! The name of the hotel is NONONARA. It’s a very stylish and clean hotel. The price was also reasonable. It’s 1,0310 yen with breakfast! My room is on the 8th floor. The floor number is chosen at random. For more information about the places visited in this video, please see the overview section! A spacious, Japanese-style room! I booked it by myself, but there are two beds 🛏️🛏️ The view is also nice (taken in the morning) There was one more thing that made me happy. That’s because the apple jelly was free! And there are two! The washbasins and toilets were also stylish! But don’t be disappointed if there’s no bath. Because the hotel has a hot spring♨︎ “Yoshino Sakurano Yu” It’s great that there’s a hot spring in the hotel. There are two types of hot spring. There was also an open-air bath that I love! You can also take a bath in this small bath. There happened to be no one there, so it was a private bath! The hotel’s services continue. After taking a bath, you can eat ice cream for free. I took two, which is a luxury. What’s more, there’s free ramen between 9:30 and 11:00 at night. This hotel is trying to make me fat. I’d even stay here just to eat this. It’s that delicious. Good night. I came for a morning walk because I ate too much yesterday. I found a particularly beautiful tree. If there were trees like this on my daily walking route, it would lift my spirits. I’m starting to want to live in Nara. But the autumn leaves only last for about three weeks. I am grateful to the earth, but also sad. But the deer are in Nara Park all year round🦌 That’s a good thing. Good morning. (Good morning) (Good morning) (Good morning) In some parts of the park, the autumn leaves are coming to an end. If you’re coming to Nara, I recommend the second half of November to the beginning of December. The best time for the autumn leaves changes a little every year, so you need to check. It might be a good idea to ask the hotel where you’re staying. I found a lovely river path. I feel like I’ve been accepted into the deer’s group. The path continued to the bench where I sat yesterday. It’s walking slowly like a zombie🧟 Everyone can become the hero of a zombie movie when they come here😂 Come to think of it, I still haven’t patted the deer’s back. It’s softer than I thought. Hotel breakfast. Staff: Thank you. First, please secure a seat. The breakfast is a sumptuous buffet! Fresh meat and fish. Fried food and bread, etc. We Japanese like to eat raw fish on top of rice. Meat and bell peppers are also good. This is a food made from soybeans called tofu. Tofu is soft and goes well with soy sauce. Octopus and fried prawns. They were all really delicious! I want to have dessert too. I don’t mind that my morning walk will be wasted. This panna cotta was delicious. They look like some kind of tribe. Butts also have their own personalities. cute. The end of this trip is approaching. At the end, I play with the deer in the park. (If you like this video, please like it and leave a comment!) (Do you promise?) On this channel, I travel to places where you can encounter Japan’s wonderful animals. I would be very happy if you could subscribe. This time I spent quite a bit of money on deer snacks. I think I bought about 20 of them😂 But it was a very exciting experience! Nara Park is currently popular with people from all over the world. There were also many tourists on this day. I’m very happy about that. There are people speaking all sorts of languages. But I only understand Japanese. If there are people from your country, please tell me! I don’t understand the language, but I can tell that they are having fun😂 But there were also some children who were scared. The deer are surprisingly active, so it’s not surprising that they’re scary. Do you want a snack? (Yes!) (Me too…) Here you go😂 The speckled pattern is a characteristic of fawns. So cute. Are you her mother? The baby deer are cute, but touching them is prohibited. Because there is a possibility that the mother will abandon her child. Even if you see a fawn, just give it a snack. Finally, there is one more place I want to go. That’s Ukimido. A wooden building floating on the lake. You can take beautiful photos from the other side of the lake. At night, you can see the illuminated scenery. I will introduce the hotel for the last day briefly. The room charge is 9400 yen (breakfast included)! The deer painted on the green wall is wonderful. “In autumn, you can hear the deer calling for their wives.” Breakfast is a buffet, just like the previous hotel. This unusual hotel is also recommended. There are dinosaurs and good-looking men at the reception. I think I’ll stay here next time. I say goodbye to the deer in the park. Bye bye, see you again sometime. (Thank you) Thanks, see you. Sorry, I don’t have any more. The next video will be about the snow and the monkey hot spring🐒♨︎ Please look forward to it. The view of Nigatsudo Temple during the day was also beautiful. Thank you for watching the video to the end! The total cost of this 3-night, 4-day trip was about 40,000 yen. Please use this as a reference! See you in the next video 🦌

When was this filmed?
It's fascinating. Why don't the deer here show any fear of humans and run away?
They could have returned to the mountains
Excellent video thank you
Beautiful!!!
I enjoyed the Mochi being in time with the music for four beats.

Thank you for the video, it was very good
In the city of Ludwigsburg near Stuttgart in Germany there are three palaces from the former ruler from baroque times 250 years ago. Castle/Palace 'Favourite' (<–that is its name) has an enclosed park around it with deer walking freely around, not being shy of humans, so basically a Nara Park, but in Germany. ^^
There are also other animals like goats e.g.
Look: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IQqb0iRT0uc
Enjoy 🙂
Oh and: Also in Stuttgart. In the part that is called Bad Cannstatt there are parrots flying around. Mountain parrots who can take the winters here.
They live in Martin-Luther-Straße in the part with trees left and right to the street.
If you walk there and the parrots are in the trees you can't have a conversation, because they are so loud.
Nearby is the Kursaal Park where they love to roam.
It's the yellow-headed amazon parrot.
Population of 40 started and is now at a couple of hundred.
In their original habitat they are an endangered species and letting them breed in the center of a big town is a fairly great example of how to integrate animals into our surroundings. 🙂
I know from ppl living in this street, that they are looking for a new apartment, though.
You can never open a window, too loud.

3:44 The claim that “only Japan shows both red and orange autumn leaves” is not true.
Countries like Korea, China, Canada, the U.S., and parts of Europe also have stunning foliage with red, orange, and yellow hues together.
While Japan’s autumn scenery is beautiful, saying it’s “the only one in the world” is more of a national image marketing line than a scientific fact.
Japan often describes itself as “unique in the world,” but such claims are usually self-promotional rather than factual.
Nature’s beauty belongs to everyone, not to one nation 🍁
What is the brand and model of the phone you are filming on?
PLEASE PROTECT THE DEER.
Some Chinese tourists are kicking and slapping them for amusement.
