This popular food stall project was started by popular Kagoshima restaurant owners along the “Ishin Furusato no Michi” road along the Kotsuki River. Six food stalls are set up each month to coincide with the event dates, attracting both local customers and tourists. This time, we will be introducing “Gyoza no Mitchi,” a food stall located in the Kagoshima Chuo Station area and Tenmonkan, which serves its famous gyoza and ramen, as well as izakaya menu items. The menu includes gyoza, fried chicken, ramen, and a full izakaya menu. The owner is standing by at his food stall . He runs his shop while setting up his handcart stall. Preparations are a lot of work for business. The food stalls are ready, and they carry out ingredients and make final preparations before opening at 4:00 PM. Business begins at 4:00 PM. From that time, the restaurant becomes bustling with local customers and tourists visiting Kagoshima. Business begins with the staff working alone. The appetizers for the day are homemade pickled smelt and pickled daikon radish. An order has been placed for the restaurant’s specialty gyoza . Many customers from overseas also visit the restaurant. “Kagoshima Meat Meat Gyoza” made with Kagoshima black pork, “Black Pork Miso Gyoza” made with Habu sake -grilled gyoza topped with minced black pork miso , and the gyoza served at Gyoza no Mitchi Menus are prepared for the food stall, and the store also offers boiled and steamed dumplings. Fresh ingredients are prepared in-store and served daily as an appetizer at the stall. The black pork miso dumplings are a popular choice, and other recommended items include the “Green Onion Gyoza” topped with plenty of green onions and the “Melty Vegetable Gyoza” with its healthy vegetable filling. To prepare for peak hours, the owner joins the store and operates as a two-person operation. The stall is bustling with customers even before the sun goes down. Appetizers such as yam kimchi and seared cucumbers are also available. The classic street food dish, “yaki ramen,” is made with vegetables, wood ear mushrooms, and sweet potato. Finished with pork bone soup along with ingredients such as fried tofu and kamaboko, “Kagoshima Yaki Ramen” is completed by adding a fried egg, chopped green onions, and sesame seeds. At this point, an order for Habu sake was placed. As the sun went down, the food stall atmosphere began to pick up. Grilled pork slices covered in green onions, shrimp mayonnaise, cutlets, spring rolls, gyoza, meat tofu , addictive quail eggs are also recommended, seared cucumber, Kagoshima handcart. Many customers who visit six food stalls finish off with gyoza and fried ramen, and the stall remains full with customers until the last order. On the day of the interview, a Kagoshima TV station was there filming, making it a popular spot. Now, let’s take a look at Gyoza no Mitchi. We’ll be enjoying some recommendations from the food stalls: the popular Kagoshima Yaki Ramen, spring roll gyoza, and the famous Kagoshima Meat and Meat Gyoza. The Kagoshima-style fried fish cakes are made with thin noodles and a pork bone broth prepared in-house. The gyoza are made with vegetables and pork from Kagoshima Prefecture, and the spring roll gyoza have a delicious crispy texture thanks to the spring roll wrappers.
