Good morning, this is Non and Yoshi. We’re currently at Haneda Airport early in the morning and will be leaving for Okinawa Island. This time it’s a 3-night, 4-day trip, departing in the off-season around mid-November. Okinawa is actually at its best this time of year. In the summer it’s too hot to go sightseeing, but this time of year is perfect as it’s easy to move around. Airfare and hotel prices are also dropping, so it’s a great opportunity to stay in hotels that are usually out of reach. This time, we used JAL miles for the outbound flight and ANA for the return flight, taking advantage of a sale price. Now it’s time to head to Okinawa! The morning glow after the rain is beautiful 😆 This trip was also our wedding anniversary. The flight attendant congratulated us on the flight, which was the happiest moment of our life! What!? That cloud looks like it has legs lol This is the first time we’ve seen clouds like this 😆 Looking at the camera outside the plane, we’re approaching Okinawa, and the ocean is so beautiful. It was about three hours from Haneda, and it went by in a flash. We was so engrossed in the movie “TOKYO MER: The Running Emergency Room – Nankai Mission” that Non ended up crying on the plane before arriving in Naha. This movie is so great! We want to fly JAL again right now lol (Non want to watch it again) On the way back we’re using ANA so we can’t watch it… The moment you step off the plane, the atmosphere changes. It’s not too hot or too cold, it’s a comfortable temperature. We looking forward to this as it will be a comfortable sightseeing experience. (Iyaa saasaa♪) Join in with the music playing inside in the airport. happy to see the sign saying “Welcome home” And we also say hello to Shisa as we set foot in Okinawa. Driving on this road makes our feel like we’re back in Okinawa. Do you have the same kind of experience? After driving for a while, A & W came into view. Our soul food makes us feel like we’re back home We can’t relax until we eat our usual soba at the familiar Ipponmatsu lol ordered Ipponmatsu soba. We also like the atmosphere of here, it’s relaxing. have the juicy-rice one first 😋 We haven’t eaten much since this morning, so I’m starving. It has a rich flavor and you can feel the umami taste as you chew it. It’s delicious. Ipponmatsu soba has arrived Chimagu, pork belly, and cartilage The synergy between these ingredients and the soup is amazing, and it’s delicious to the core. Such a jiggly texture! The chef is amazing, it’s so delicious!! Adding garlic and red chili pepper “Atsuo-chan” halfway through will give it a punch and further enhance the flavor. Soba & Sake Restaurant Ipponmatsu 586-13 Kuwae, Chatan Town, Nakagami District, Okinawa Prefecture It was delicious! We want to eat it every day. We came to the north and this caught my eye while waiting at a traffic light. Oh, the wall We came here last year for their “Japanese Tacos”! They were absolutely delicious! We came to a store we was interested in. We would like to have the brown sugar grated on the spot and enjoy the soft, melting brown sugar. Please pay on the right side first, and then pick up your items when the call comes. Apparently croffles go well with ice cream too 🍨 When you actually order, it looks so delicious that you’ll want to order a variety of dishes. wait for our turn. We’ve been waiting for this moment! Block of brown sugar right in front of you. Absolutely delicious!! shave off a lot 😋 We was absorbed in taking photos. We just ate some soba noodles, but this is a separate stomach😋 Did you hear the sound?! It’s crispy and has a rich buttery flavor. It’s delicious! First, we take a bite of the brown sugar that has been grated for us. The foam matches perfectly with the brown sugar, making it a real rich dessert! THE Sinmay’s Commitment (Excerpt from their website) Their coffee is said to have a slightly distinctive flavor.
Their roasting is done over a wood-fired fire, leaving a lingering smoky aroma that lingers in your nose and creates a unique flavor. Their roasting is done in a Shinmay pot, a traditional Okinawan craft.It’s likely that no other coffee shop in Japan uses this pot for roasting. THE SINMAY Fresh Brown Sugar Latte & Tea 292-2 Tamagusuku, Nakijin Village, Kunigami District, Okinawa Prefecture, 905-0415 Since I’ve come all the way to the north, I’d like to go somewhere I haven’t been to in a few years. Cross the Kouri Bridge and head towards Kouri Island A 1,960m long bridge that connects Kouri Island in Nakijin Village and Yagaji Island in Nago City The weather is nice today, it’s a beautiful view It is the second longest toll-free bridge in Okinawa Prefecture. It’s a spectacular bridge that makes you feel like you’re riding on the sea. The emerald green sea stretches out on both sides of the bridge, and it’s hard to know where to look. How many years has it been since we’ve been here? It feels like it’s been more than eight years We came to see the heart-shaped rock, Heart Rock It is also the location where the commercial “JAL Sakitoku” starring Arashi was filmed. We miss this commercial! Non really liked this commercial. CM said “I’m glad I came – with JAL’s Sakitoku” Non said “I’m glad I came – with JAL miles” 😆 It was nice to go to Heart Rock after a long time. The parking lot was well maintained and the fees were easy to understand. Personally, we think the view from this side of Kouri Bridge is more beautiful from this view The evening sun is just shining and it creates a nice atmosphere. A small plane just flew overhead. How beautiful is it This beautiful scenery will make you forget your daily fatigue. The sun is strong even in this season. Machiko Maki and sunglasses are a must. It’s not too hot, so we’re glad the temperature is this comfortable for sightseeing. Ryukyu Famous Confectionery, Miya Honpo, Onna Branch 2572-2 Onna, Onna Village, Kunigami District, Okinawa Prefecture, 904-0411 There are shekwasha fruits andagi?! The Mitsuya balls and Shikuwasa andagi were sold out. We can’t imagine what Shikuwasa andagi tastes like, we’d love to try it. It’s only available for a limited time, so if you’re planning on visiting Okinawa, be sure to give it a try. Discussing what to have for dinner We would like to visit the shops that Yoshi discovered while traveling alone this year. We would like to take it home and eat it at the hotel. Look for the big tuna🐟 We came to Ryudon restaurant in Yomitan village. Apparently you can make your own POKE BOWL! We’re looking forward to it! While Yoshi was choosing, Non looked outside. We was able to see the beautiful scenery of Yomitan Village. We also took a photo from outside, you can see the ocean in the distance. played the crane game until it was completed. Our dream, own sauna room🤍 xIn such a short time, there were a lot of “Amazing!” from Non can’t stop watching this view, It’s so beautiful The long-awaited dinner time The POKE BOWL looks delicious 😋 We’ll enjoy having this! It’s great, it’s so colorful and you can make it with your favorite Poke Bowl It was so delicious 😋 We went to the bar on the top floor We received a ticket at check-in and came here to get some drinks. We both ordered Orion beer. Let’s go to the area we want to go Cheers 🍻 Isn’t this pool area lovely? You can’t go into the pool in winter, but it’s nice to be able to enjoy it like this. We returned to our room and entered the highlight of the day, our private sauna. What a luxurious moment! It’s like a dream! You can even do a loyly! Too awesome😆 It even comes with an hourglass! So perfect! Then we went to the cold water bath 😆 After that, we took an open-air rest in a chair 😆😆 We was so happy to be able to go to bed right after the sauna. What a wonderful day it was.
