神奈川県庁【建築さんぽ】「ライト＋五重塔＋観音像」の悪魔合体

ミナト横浜の名所「キングの塔」こと神奈川県庁に行ってみませんか？米国の巨匠フランク・ロイド・ライトをオマージュしたボディに五重塔と観音像を悪魔合体（未遂）させたという、超個性派建築。屋上の展望広場からは港の眺望もぐるり楽しめます。隣の新館はコルビュジエ門下・坂倉準三の設計。山下公園や中華街もすぐそば。一日楽しめます。

Would you like to visit the famous ‘King’s Tower’ of Minato Yokohama, the Kanagawa Prefectural Government Building? It’s an ultra-unique building that supposedly attempted to fuse a five-story pagoda and a Kannon statue into the body that pays homage to the American master Frank Lloyd Wright. From the rooftop observation deck, you can enjoy panoramic views of the harbor. The adjacent new building was designed by Junzo Sakakura, a disciple of Le Corbusier. Yamashita Park and Chinatown are also nearby. You can enjoy a full day there.
