While pedestrian traffic was light on this rainy-season Thursday, the historic Takasaki Chuo Ginza Shopping District revealed a fascinating transition—where the retro arcade feels uniquely absorbed into the surrounding nightlife and entertainment scene.

📍 About this Journey:
This walk marks the opening chapter of a massive journey traveling west from Tokyo through Gunma and Nagano, following the Sea of Japan coast all the way to Hagi City, Yamaguchi. Filmed in June 2026 right in the middle of the rainy season, this trip turned into quite an adventure as I had to race back to Tokyo to outrun a double typhoon!
