POV: Japan’s Train Tells a Story of Survival #Japan #History #Shorts
Ishinomaki City in Miyagi Prefecture was one of the regions most severely impacted by the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami.
The “Ishinomaki-Ayumino Station” shown in this video was newly built in 2016 as a symbol of recovery to support the newly relocated community.
The name “Ayumino” comes from “Ayumu,” which means “to walk or move forward” in Japanese, reflecting the town’s hope for the future.
Please enjoy the beautiful scenery from the train window and see how this town continues to move forward today.
