きょうの京都 祇園で「八朔」 2026/08/01 ”Hassaku” event in Kyoto’s Gion district
2026年8月1日、京都市東山区にある花街・祇園で、毎年恒例の「八朔（はっさく）」がありました。八朔は、毎年8月1日に芸妓・舞妓さんが日頃の感謝を込めて、お師匠さんやお茶屋などへ挨拶回りをする伝統行事です。
On August 1, 2026, the annual “Hassaku” event took place in Gion, a *hanamachi* (geisha district) in Kyoto’s Higashiyama Ward. Hassaku is a traditional event held every year on August 1st, during which geiko and maiko make rounds to greet their mentors and the establishments they frequent, expressing their gratitude for ongoing support.
