⁴ᴷ Tochigi: Tobu Utsunomiya Station (栃木県: 東武宇都宮駅) – Japan Walking Tour (November, 2024)

I’m heading up the Japan Sea side of the Tohoku region before the snow arrives, making my way gradually north while balancing work. I’ve now traveled from Saitama Prefecture to Tochigi Prefecture. Although there’s been a light rain off and on, the shopping street near Tobu Utsunomiya Station has a sturdy arcade covering, which has been helpful. While the area isn’t too crowded, there’s a fair number of people around, mostly younger folks. Utsunomiya seems to be quite a lively city compared to other cities in Northern Kanto, but I wonder if that’s really the case.
