始めに写ったのは昔からあるスズメの焼き鳥でしょうか。半世紀以上前、私の田舎ではスズメをとって焼き鳥の材料として出荷している人がいました。子供の私はなんて残酷なことをするのだろうと思っていました。焼き鳥が生まれたのは平安時代と言われていますね。 豊作を祈願する京都・伏見稲荷の参道で、稲作にとって害鳥の雀を捕まえ、串に刺して食べたのが焼き鳥の起源だと言われています。私はとても食べる気にはなれませんが、食べたことのある人はとても美味しいと言っていました。
