Wow, a huge Muji.
Once the Aeon Gojo complex closed down after 50 years in business, it's good to see that there this new Aeon mall opened up in its place. Even though it is a 20 minute drive between both locations, I'm sure this mall will be heavily frequented, as it is now the largest mall in western Japan. Apparently, there is some sort of "connecting bridge" between the newly built complex and the already existing "main mall". Either way, it looks fresh and exciting!
I love the sumo wrestler meetup stall and your analysis of the hot pot you purchased! Not only is it eaten in large quantities by sumo wrestlers as part of a weight-gain diet, Chankonabe is also a popular restaurant food, often served in restaurants operated by retired sumo wrestlers who specialize in the dish. The first of these food places was called Kawasaki Chanko, which started in 1937 in Tokyo, home to many prominent sumo stables. 🍜
