4 Days of Tokyo | 📸 Leica

    Photos shot on Leica Q2.

A 4-day photo walk through Tokyo, capturing the transition from the historic book districts to the quiet luxury of the city’s western suburbs. Armed with the Leica Q2, I explore the textures of the Showa-era, modern architectural spaces, and the first signs of the sakura season.

    Day 1: Jimbocho Book Town
Starting in Jimbocho, Tokyo’s famous secondhand book district. The afternoon is spent among 100-year-old storefronts and independent shops before heading toward the Imperial Palace moats to catch the early-blooming cherry blossoms.

Day 2: Yoyogi Uehara & Nishihara
A walk through the hilly, sophisticated streets of Yoyogi-Uehara. After a coffee break at the architecturally stunning “uni” inside the Gyre building in Omotesando, I explore the quiet, atmospheric glow of Nishihara Street at dusk.

Day 3: Yanaka Ginza & Tsukiji After Hours
Exploring the “Old Tokyo” charm of Yanaka Ginza and Nippori. After a quick stop to watch the Shinkansen pass at Nishi-Nippori, the day ends with a late-night photography session in the unusually quiet, neon-lit alleys of Tsukiji Market.

    Day 4: Jiyugaoka & Denenchofu
A weekend stroll through Jiyugaoka’s trendy boutiques and the peaceful, high-end residential lanes of Denenchofu. The journey concludes at Tamagawa Sengen Jinja with a sunset view overlooking the river and Mt. Fuji in the distance.
