Kyoto 2026 Nishiki Market Spring Street Foods & Japan’s World Popular New Taiko Show Tao Ep.636

Kyoto Spring Guide 2026: Nishiki Market Food, Sakura & Viral Taiko Show!
Join me on a perfect spring day trip to Kyoto! We start our journey from Osaka Station to Kyoto Station via the Special Rapid train—the easiest way to travel between these two cities.
Our first stop is the “Kitchen of Kyoto,” Nishiki Market. I explored the narrow streets to find the best Spring Street Foods available only this time of year! From there, we headed to Maruyama Park, famous for its iconic weeping cherry blossoms, to enjoy the full bloom of the season.
After a peaceful walk through the historic Kiyomizu-dera Temple, I was invited to experience the newly opened DRUM TAO THEATER KYOTO, located near Kyoto Station. I have to say, the powerful rhythm of the drums vibrating through my entire body was an experience like no other. It was my first time seeing a show like this, and I was genuinely moved by the energy!

I hope this video gives you some inspiration for traveling or you feel like you are traveling with me! More adventures are coming so please don’t forget to subscribe to the channel! Arigatoooo, Let’s Keep Walking!😆

    1. Kyoto is so mega crowded with tourists. However my son recently visited off-season and he found many silent places. It’s a beautiful city. Thank you for sharing.

    2. Aloha Rion! Great video of Kyoto. We haven't visited in awhile because its gotten so crowded but your video makes me want to visit again. On our recent trip we found that people don't follow the boarding lines on the platform. People are lined up nicely but when the train arrives its a free for all with both locals and tourist getting on the train. I found it funny and kind of like that Osaka is more laid back than Tokyo. Keep walking my friend!

    3. What a neat show! I got to see Kodo play with the Chieftains in Louisville years ago. It's amazing how similar the 6/8 rhythms of both cultures are. I hope Kyoto isn't getting crushed as hard by tourists as it was in the past.
