Journey Through Japan’s Alps | From 35°C to Summer Snow | Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route

I left the summer heat behind and set out on a journey through the Japanese Alps.

The Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route crosses the mountains from Toyama to Nagano. Along the way, I take six unique rides and explore beautiful alpine scenery, lingering summer snow, Mikurigaike Pond, and the magnificent Kurobe Dam.

I hope this quiet journey brings you a peaceful moment.

If you enjoyed the journey, please let me know in the comments 😊

    2. Went on the same trip last year, it was awesome. Only struggle was at the begining of the trip because I did not know that I needed to buy two tickets in order to board the train. In my mind it did not make any sense to sell a separat useless ticket that can‘t get you on board.😅 I even understand a lot of japanese but the conductor only used sign language with me even though I spoke japanese to him.😃 After that I learned that you sometimes have to buy two tickets in order to board a certain train.

    3. Ciao Emma oggi avrei voluto proprio accompagnarti in questo tuo viaggio sulle Alpi giapponesi.

    4. I visited Tateyama Kurobe last autumn and it looked wonderful. I also walked on the scary stairs in Kurobe dam. I'm happy to see its beauty during summer in the video, and such great weather! It is a place I want to revisit again and again in other seasons, hopefully stay a night there. 😊The place looks wonderful all year around!

    6. Incredible views. In Canada I've lived by the Great Lakes, the prairies, in boreal forests and next to the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. But I've never felt so at home as when living in the mountains. Your video reminds me how much I enjoyed living in the Rocky Mountains. Thank you 🙏

    7. I went here 2 weeks ago and I took the Nagano to Toyama direction instead! The temperature was very pleasant at 20 degrees on Murodo while it was 30 degrees in Nagano😖I thought this would look amazing in autumn/winter. Thanks for the video!

    8. I just got back from Nagoya, I wish I've seen your vlog earlier. How many hours total was the whole trek?
How cold was it In July in Tateyama Kurobe, what kind of gear do you have to wear during summer Season? Thank you for sharing this

    9. I’d love the idea of living in Japan for a year. Unfortunately, remote-work opportunities can be harder to secure for those of us based in Asia. Still, I’m building my side business now, and I’m hoping it will soon give me the freedom to travel and live abroad with my wife.

    10. It's my dream destination in Japan too! ❤️ Thanks for uploading such a beautiful video. 🫰 Was this whole journey just a one-day trip?
