■ FESTIVAL CONTEXT

石崎奉燈祭は、石川県七尾市石崎町で受け継がれる能登を代表する夏祭りの一つです。高さ約15メートル、重さ約2トンにもなる巨大奉燈が、多くの担ぎ手によって勇壮に巡行し、港町に夏の訪れを告げます。
